Chapter 25

After saying that, Abel entered his car and drove out of the shopping mall.

Avery felt shattered. Until this moment, she thought she had gotten over Abel. But the truth remained that, she couldn't help the pain she felt within her. The pain of rejection. It seems like Abel has divorced her all over again.

Avery got into her car and drove out of the mall. It was already getting late and she decided to take a shorter path to her home.

After driving for a few minutes, Avery noticed three men working on a car. She thought nothing of it and kept moving towards them.

The three men, who happened to be thugs quickly, closed their booths and blocked her way. Avery understood what was going on, and hastily drove past them despite their hindrance.

Seeing this, the thugs got into their car and chased after her. Avery was good at driving. She had won awards in riding sports and so, she sped off in a way that surprised her chasers.
