CHAPTER 77

LENA.

The ride back home was silent. I didn't want to speak with him. I didn't know if it was disappointment but after seeing that girl's face on his phone's screen, I decided that it was better to walk away now that it was still easy for me. I was good at doing that. It wasn't self sabotage this time. It was me looking out for myself.

When we finally got to my home, I climbed down from his motorcycle and pushed his helmet into his chest.

"From now on, we remain friends," I began. "Whatever happened back at your place was a mistake and should never happen again, okay?"

Damon sighed and placed the helmet in front of him. "You're mad at me, Lena and I understand that. But you shouldn't be. We're not even dating."

I laughed. "I am not mad at you, Damon. I am just setting boundaries which seems weird to you." I patted his arm. "Don't worry, you'll get used to it."

"I stopped seeing her already." He pushed.

"That doesn't mean anything to me, Damon. I'm ok
