LENA.

I hated that I had to leave. But this was an ounce of my pride that would have been chipped away.

Since I walked out of his door, all I could feel was this searing pain that shot up my chest. I couldn't contain it. Leaning against my car, I held onto my chest and closed my eyes, bringing myself to take deep breaths.

"Lena."

My eyes flew open and there he was, standing there, dressed in nothing but a pair of dark jeans, ripped in unholy places. My eyes traveled down his waist, down to the Calvin Klein band. I straightened and blinked twice to clear off the fog gathering over my head.

"Damon. What are you doing here?"

"I couldn't just let you leave," He replied and curled a brow. Taking a few strides towards me, he placed a hand on the window behind me and caught my chin with the tip of his fingers and brought my face towards him. He stared into my eyes. "You're my woman, Lena. My mate. Why would I watch you walk out and not follow after you?"
