Aleric Dolce POV.
Sapphire sat frozen to the ground, unable to move. Her eyes were filled with conflicting emotions as she stared back at me, stunned and too traumatized by everything she had experience, dark mascara streaked across her cheeks. She wasn't meant to see this. The existence of werewolves were meant to be hidden in secrets away from the eyes and ears of every human. But those drunk baboons were too foolish, too stupid and horny that they had to transform into a wolf to have their way with her. It was against the rules of this Pack for any werewolf to molest a woman, not to talk of shifting into a wolf before the eyes of a human, so I was left with no other choice than to do the necessary as the future Alpha of the Lykoria Pack and also fulfilling my responsibility of protecting my mate, which was to brutally kill them in the worse way possible for trying to have their way with my mate and for also traumatizing her after shifting into a creature she was never meant to see. I approached her with slow and cautious steps as I dissolved my Werewolf form into human, my clothes shredded and useless after my transformation. I saw the surprise in her beautifully stunned amber eyes as she whispered out my name in a disbelieving and unsure tone. "Aleric?" I smiled softly at her, giving her time to process everything she had seen in her head as I got to her. I crouched down beside her, my eyes narrowed, tracing the ripped fabric of her dress and the trail of blood that ran down her arm. The sweet, metallic scent of her blood wafted up, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. My teeth gritting in a mixture of anger and restraint. In that moment, I wished I had inflicted a slower, more brutal death on those motherfuckers who harmed her. My eyes closed involuntarily as I savored the sweet scent of my mate as we were just a feet apart. My throat tightening as it ran dry with the urge to sink my fangs into her but I knew I had to get a hold of myself. 'This wasn't the time Aleric!' I scolded myself inwardly and snapped my eyes open. Her gaze was still on me. I could tell that she must've been confused by my actions, unaware to her that she was the reason behind it. Now, I was considering revealing the whole truth to her about the existence of werewolves in Lykoria City, and I perhaps also letting her know the reason why I was so damned drawn to her even when I didn't want to was because she was my fated mate but at least, I knew could not do that here. "Matteo," I called out and Matteo appeared before me from the shadows, both hands fixed into the pockets of his silvercrest jacket. "Lend me your Jacket," I instructed but Matteo didn't move. He raised a questioning eyebrow at me, hesitant to do what I said. I let out a low growl, my gaze still locked on hers, "She needs it, Matteo." I added and his gaze went down to Sapphire for a while before I heard him let out a deep defeated sigh, shooking his head as he reluctantly took off the jacket and handed it over to me. Sapphire's body was exposed in the cold of the night and was badly bruised. I knew the reason Matteo wasn't willing to hand over his Jacket was because of her blood and I doubt if I'd return it to him. And even if I did return it, I was sure he wouldn't accept it. He would rather get a new one. I came closer to Sapphire, wanting to put the jacket over her but she shifted away, fear in her eyes. "It's fine, Sapphire. I won't harm you, okay?" I reassured in a hushed whisper. "You will be fine, trust me." Noticing her body loosen up and wasn't as stiff as it was before, I tried again, wearing the jacket over her and scooping her into my arms as I rose up to my feet. Her eyes widened, shifting in my arms, "A-aleric, what are you doing? Put me down. I don't want to stay here anymore. I need to go home," She stammered, fear and insecurity in her voice but I knew I couldn't let her go home immediately. I needed to have a word with her. "You will go home. I will take you home but not now. First, I have something important to talk to you about," I said, striding to my bike. "What do you want to talk to me about? Where are you taking me to, Aleric? Put me down right now!" She pounded on my chest, flinging her legs into the air but I didn't feel as she weighed close to nothing in my arms. I placed her on my bike, "No, I can't. And yes, you're going with me to my penthouse. I can't let you go home. Not after everything you had seen today." I said while also getting on my bike. I passed her a helmet to put on but she didn't accept it. "Take it, Sapphire," I gritted. "Take it and stop being so stubborn all the time. It's for your safety." I could see Matteo chuckling at the side. I was sure he found this whole wolf thing revelation hilarious to watch but it's way more serious than it seems to be. "Why must I go with you? You think I'd go along quietly after you had clearly popped from nowhere in a beastly form and chopped off two heads with your teeth right before my eyes?! You think any sane person would agree to go with you?" She scoffed defiantly, folding her hands over her chest. "Yes, you will because you have no choice, bumblebee." I said decisively and I saw her forehead crease from the mirror on my biker as she glared at me. "Stop glaring. It's for a good reason, Sapphire," I added. Darting my gaze to Matteo. "You know what to do," I said, signaling to the dead wolves and blood that was littered on the floor. He needed to clean the mess up before any human would come across them. **** Sapphire's POV. I stood in Aleric's penthouse, my eyes scanning the wooden interior that seemed understated yet elegant. The garage to the side housed his prized bike, the one he always rode. I turned my attention to Aleric, who sat on the couch before me, his expression unreadable. My mind reeled as I tried to process the revelation he had just shared. "So, you're saying that most people I thought were human... are actually werewolves?" I asked, seeking clarification. Aleric nodded slightly, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. "Yes, they are. In fact, everyone at college is a werewolf. Every single one of them, Sapphire," he said, his words dropping like a bombshell. My heart skipped a beat as a terrifying thought crossed my mind. "... Including Lisa and Cameron?" I whispered, hoping against hope that my friends were exempt from this supernatural world. But Aleric's nod crushed my hopes. "Yes, they are. Your friends are the Gamma's children." I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. "What?!" I exclaimed, my voice barely above a whisper. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks for reading 💝🤗Sapphire's POV. Aleric's nod crushed my hopes. “Yes, they are. Your friends are the Gamma's children.” I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. “What?!” I exclaimed, my voice barely above a whisper. Just then, a sudden thud hit the rooftop and I whipped my head to the sound in an instant. “What was that?” I gasped, my heart racing with multiple thoughts. I couldn't believe that I had been kept in the shadows for so long not knowing how much my life was in danger by being surrounded by so many supernatural beings I had thought only existed in books. Aleric sighed tiredly, showing his exhaustion as he pinched the bridge of his nose. He spoke quietly, “I know what you're doing, dude. But quit at it. She's been frightened enough now. I wouldn't want her to pass out in my penthouse.” My heart still thumping fast with my hairs standing on my skin, my y brows furrowed, confused about who he was talking to, “Who are you talking to? Do you know what made that sound?” I inquired, moving cl
Sapphire's POV. “No, ma'am. There’s been a change of plans. Madame Blue Rose has returned home early and has been asking for you.” The air seemed to leave my lungs, and I felt a sinking sensation in my stomach as my heart dropped! 'Oh No! What excuse am I going to give to her for taking so much time to get home?' A sudden horn of a motorcycle pierced into my ears and I jerked, turning to Aleric with frightened eyes. “I am counting on you, Sapphire. Don't let us down,” Aleric said on a serious note and a gulp ran down my throat nervously. I gave a slight nod of both understanding and assurance and Aleric gave me a full smile, patting my head twice before making a swift turn onto the street, riding off into the night on his wolf bike as the engines roared louder. I turned to Butler Adams who was staring at Aleric who had already ridden into the distance. “Who is he? You didn't tell me you've got a boyfriend at college already, Phire.” My cheeks flushed pink hue as I waved it
Lisa's POV. Sapphire dragged me down into the Janitor's room and slammed the door shut behind her quietly then locked it up with the keys. "Why did you bring me here? What's wrong that you had to pull me all the way from the class just to speak to me privately here?" I inquired, curious. But Sapphire had her arms crossed over her chest as she leaned onto the door, glaring hard at me. "What? Why are you glaring?" I was confused. "Quit the pretense, Lisa. I know about everything you've been hiding from me for so long. So you don't need to put on a clueless act anymore," My heart hit pit bottom the moment she said those words. What did she mean by that? "How could you? I thought we were friends and that as friends, we shouldn't hide anything from each other. But it's been so fucking long since we knew each other, yet you didn't bother to let me know? Do you really see me as someone who is untrustworthy that you can't tell your secrets to because I won't keep it within myself
Sapphire's POV.I and Lisa tumbled to the ground as I fell on her, and the door came crashing open as it slammed against the wall."What the heck are you girls doing in here?!" The cleaner gasped, eyes wide open and our worse fear of she thinking wrongly of our sexuality seemed to be coming true. "And on top of each other too? Don't tell me you girls were...""No no no, it's nothing like that," I interjected, my heart hammering in my ribs as I got up from Lisa's body who was groaning underneath my weight. "We weren't doing anything of that sort. We only came here to catch up.. like have a conversation."She crossed her arms with her brows arched, "A conversation? In the Janitor's room..?" She asked with a disbelieving laugh. "Do I look like a kid to you? I know what I saw kiddo. You were making out with her!" Sapphire's POV. What I wanted and needed was for any guy I'd date or fall in love with again, to have a deep trust towards me. Cameron didn't have that, so it was clear he wasn't worthy of me neither was he the one for me. "Okay, I am on my way," Lisa answered Cameron, putting the notebook into her bag. "I will be back soon. Wait here for me," she said to me before leaving."Sure," I responded, watching her walk out through the door as she followed Cameron from behind. I took out my phone from my jean pockets to use it as a way of whiling away time, "Shit! It's damned low," I cussed, seeing that my phone was left with five bar and I might end up needing it In case there would be a need for me to call Aunt Karissa's line or the driver to come pick me up from campus.I tossed my phone into my bag with a heavy, bored sigh from my lips. Sapphire's POV.We left the class for the cafeteria, and we ran into Matteo on our way in, my face colliding onto his chest as his soda spilled on me. Surprisingly, Aleric wasn't there with him as usual because Matteo used to be seen mostly with Aleric as he followed Aleric around campus all the time like a bodyguard but well, he was just his right-hand man. "Hey, I am so sorry. I didn't see you coming," I apologized, wiping off the soda drink that had spilled on me from the can of soda Matteo held."Its fine. I should be the one apologizing," He said as he handed me his hankie. "Use this to clean it off. Thankfully, the drink wouldn't leave a stain on your T-shirt." He said. If there was something I noticed about Matteo Rossi, then it would be that although Matteo was reserved and was sometimes cruel due to what Aleric commands him to do, Matteo wasn't a bad guy after all. He was a gentle and easy-going guy."Oh true. Thanks," I wiped the wet spot on my blue T-shirt off."Why do
Karissa Blue Rose POV.While I was away from home for about two days, I had a premonition yesterday morning when I was still in the hotel suite I had booked down for myself. It was about Sapphire getting attacked by drunk wolves, her cloth was ripped open and her skin was bleeding. She was in tears, screaming for help, begging them to let her go but they didn't listen and just before I could see more, the premonition stopped and jolted up, breathing heavily as I looked around the hotel I was in .I was scared to death. I couldn't stay back at the hotel anymore even though I had clients who were waiting for me and also wanted me to design their wedding dresses but I couldn't stay away from Sapphire when I knew that she would need my help. I needed to make sure that premonition didn't come to pass but dammit! I inquired and Aunt karissa nodded, a whisper from her lips."Yes, Sapphire. I am sorry." I smiled softly at her. "It's fine. Don't feel bad. And I am glad you told me on time, hmm?" Aunt Karissa smiled back, giving my cheeks a pat before turning to focus on the road. The drive back home was quiet as I gaze outside the window, staring at each beautiful tree we drove past.
