Sapphire's POV.
The werewolf hot, rank breath washed over me, and I felt a primal instinct to back away, to flee from this monstrous creature. But my feet seemed rooted to the spot, unable to move as I was in shock! I didn't know such creatures existed on earth~in reality. Yes, I had read stories and novels of such mythical creatures, but I had believed they were not real. I believed that they were just fairy tales~fictions written In books. So seeing Jaguar shift into a werewolf means that everything I read about them~~~everything, every one of it was true but at the same it was challenging to digest as I staggered backward, away from the terrifying creature, my lips trembled as I set my hand forward to stop it, gulping. “S-stay away. Stay… away~from me, Jaguar,” I stammered, terrified and taking several steps away from it. Jaguar growled louder at me this time, his fierce glaring down at me like a predator and his four paws taking slow but long strides towards me as I backed away from him until I felt something blocking my path from behind. I turned and saw that it was another werewolf, high and tall, towering over me. “Jeremy?” I shivered. He had also transformed into a beastly werewolf. My heart hammered in my chest, rasp breaths coming out of my lips as I struggled to breathe. “Did you think you could get away from us by using your childish defense method? You're damned wrong if that was what you thought, little bitch,” Jeremy said to me, his eyes glowing down at me with excitement, my heart beat racing faster as I searched from the side of the eyes how to escape from the both of them. I was trapped between them. Jaguar at my back and Jeremy in front. My breath hitched, my body and hands trembling at my sides~chest heaving up and down heavily as my palm felt sweaty. Bitting hard on my lip, I steadied my heartbeat, getting ready to slip out from between them. “You are ours for tonight, little rascal,” Jaguar growled, raising his paws to me and that was the exact chance I couldn't afford to miss! I slipped out from underneath him the moment he raised his paws, running In the direction that led me back home as far and fast as I could. If only my leg could reach the back of my head, then I would say that was me right now. My slippers slipped out of the under of my foot in the process of escaping, but I didn't mind neither did I stop until a claw suddenly reached out to me, it's sharp nails tearing the arms of my dress as it threw me to the ground carelessly, and I shrieked from the pain as my back hit the streetlamps with a thud. A sharp pain shot through my spine, tears clouding my eyes, but my focus wasn't on the pain because Jaguar and Jeremy was already closing up on me, taking up their time as they approached me with a predatory gaze blaring down on me. My eyes filled with terror, “No, no, no. Not again. I can't let them get to me” I whispered with harsh breaths. I had to get away from them. I needed to call out for help even though the chances of anyone coming out to save from such big bad wolves was thin, but I knew I needed to give it a try. Crawling backwards with my butt against the pavement, I was terrified, trembling out of fright as I stared up at them, “G-get away from me. Someone help! Help me, please. Save me from them, please,” I cried, tears rolling down my cheeks as I felt a stinging pain nestled on my shoulder with blood dripping. Jaguar's thunderous voice sent shivers down my spine. “No one would help you, little rascal. No one would dare come to save you from us. You are ours to take, you hear me! You are ours!” But I refused to listen. I scrambled to my feet, screaming for help at the top of my lungs. “Someone, please help me! Anybody!” I cried, desperate to escape. Jaguar's response was a deafening roar. “I warned you, bitch! Stop running! Why don't you ever listen." He charged towards me, his powerful legs propelling him forward. I didn't stop running, but the ground beneath my feet began to reverberate, and I stumbled, falling hard onto the floor. As I whipped my head around, I saw Jaguar and Jeremy closing in on me, their sharp claws extended, ready to strike. But just as all hope seemed lost, the sound of roaring bike engines filled the air. I looked up, and my eyes widened in shock as a massive white wolf leapt into the air, its long, pointy fangs bared. With deadly precision, the wolf bit off Jeremy's head, and then Jaguar's, their bodies crumpling to the ground as blood splattered everywhere. I stared, frozen in horror, as the majestic white wolf turned to face me. Its golden eyes gleamed with a fierce inner light, and I felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity. I had seen those eyes before, but where? Who? The wolf's intense gaze seemed to draw me in, like a moth to a flame, and I felt an unsettling attraction to it. As the wolf approached me, its precise steps seemed almost… cautious. It was as if it didn't want to scare me, despite its intimidating presence. The wolf's eyes reminded me of someone I had sworn to hate, yet couldn't help but feel drawn to. Aleric. The name whispered in my mind, but I pushed it aside. It couldn't be. The wolf stopped right before me, its towering height making me feel small and vulnerable. But instead of attacking me, it stared down at me softly, its eyes filled with a deep, piercing warmth. And then, in an instant, the wolf dissolved into a being. A being with piercing golden eyes that was imprinted into my eyes, tattooed arms, dark damp hair that fell loosely over his face and chiseled features. “Aleric?” I whispered, my voice trembling with shock.Aleric Dolce POV. Sapphire sat frozen to the ground, unable to move. Her eyes were filled with conflicting emotions as she stared back at me, stunned and too traumatized by everything she had experience, dark mascara streaked across her cheeks. She wasn't meant to see this. The existence of werewolves were meant to be hidden in secrets away from the eyes and ears of every human. But those drunk baboons were too foolish, too stupid and horny that they had to transform into a wolf to have their way with her. It was against the rules of this Pack for any werewolf to molest a woman, not to talk of shifting into a wolf before the eyes of a human, so I was left with no other choice than to do the necessary as the future Alpha of the Lykoria Pack and also fulfilling my responsibility of protecting my mate, which was to brutally kill them in the worse way possible for trying to have their way with my mate and for also traumatizing her after shifting into a creature she was never meant t
Sapphire's POV. Aleric's nod crushed my hopes. “Yes, they are. Your friends are the Gamma's children.” I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. “What?!” I exclaimed, my voice barely above a whisper. Just then, a sudden thud hit the rooftop and I whipped my head to the sound in an instant. “What was that?” I gasped, my heart racing with multiple thoughts. I couldn't believe that I had been kept in the shadows for so long not knowing how much my life was in danger by being surrounded by so many supernatural beings I had thought only existed in books. Aleric sighed tiredly, showing his exhaustion as he pinched the bridge of his nose. He spoke quietly, “I know what you're doing, dude. But quit at it. She's been frightened enough now. I wouldn't want her to pass out in my penthouse.” My heart still thumping fast with my hairs standing on my skin, my y brows furrowed, confused about who he was talking to, “Who are you talking to? Do you know what made that sound?” I inquired, moving cl
Sapphire's POV. “No, ma'am. There’s been a change of plans. Madame Blue Rose has returned home early and has been asking for you.” The air seemed to leave my lungs, and I felt a sinking sensation in my stomach as my heart dropped! 'Oh No! What excuse am I going to give to her for taking so much time to get home?' A sudden horn of a motorcycle pierced into my ears and I jerked, turning to Aleric with frightened eyes. “I am counting on you, Sapphire. Don't let us down,” Aleric said on a serious note and a gulp ran down my throat nervously. I gave a slight nod of both understanding and assurance and Aleric gave me a full smile, patting my head twice before making a swift turn onto the street, riding off into the night on his wolf bike as the engines roared louder. I turned to Butler Adams who was staring at Aleric who had already ridden into the distance. “Who is he? You didn't tell me you've got a boyfriend at college already, Phire.” My cheeks flushed pink hue as I waved it
Lisa's POV. Sapphire dragged me down into the Janitor's room and slammed the door shut behind her quietly then locked it up with the keys. "Why did you bring me here? What's wrong that you had to pull me all the way from the class just to speak to me privately here?" I inquired, curious. But Sapphire had her arms crossed over her chest as she leaned onto the door, glaring hard at me. "What? Why are you glaring?" I was confused. "Quit the pretense, Lisa. I know about everything you've been hiding from me for so long. So you don't need to put on a clueless act anymore," My heart hit pit bottom the moment she said those words. What did she mean by that? "How could you? I thought we were friends and that as friends, we shouldn't hide anything from each other. But it's been so fucking long since we knew each other, yet you didn't bother to let me know? Do you really see me as someone who is untrustworthy that you can't tell your secrets to because I won't keep it within myself
Sapphire's POV.I and Lisa tumbled to the ground as I fell on her, and the door came crashing open as it slammed against the wall."What the heck are you girls doing in here?!" The cleaner gasped, eyes wide open and our worse fear of she thinking wrongly of our sexuality seemed to be coming true. "And on top of each other too? Don't tell me you girls were...""No no no, it's nothing like that," I interjected, my heart hammering in my ribs as I got up from Lisa's body who was groaning underneath my weight. "We weren't doing anything of that sort. We only came here to catch up.. like have a conversation."She crossed her arms with her brows arched, "A conversation? In the Janitor's room..?" She asked with a disbelieving laugh. "Do I look like a kid to you? I know what I saw kiddo. You were making out with her!" Lisa shoved me aside, moving me behind her back as she came forward, "Don't misinterpret things here, ma'am. We aren't lesbians. And if we were making out, you would have caught
Sapphire's POV. What I wanted and needed was for any guy I'd date or fall in love with again, to have a deep trust towards me. Cameron didn't have that, so it was clear he wasn't worthy of me neither was he the one for me. "Okay, I am on my way," Lisa answered Cameron, putting the notebook into her bag. "I will be back soon. Wait here for me," she said to me before leaving."Sure," I responded, watching her walk out through the door as she followed Cameron from behind. I took out my phone from my jean pockets to use it as a way of whiling away time, "Shit! It's damned low," I cussed, seeing that my phone was left with five bar and I might end up needing it In case there would be a need for me to call Aunt Karissa's line or the driver to come pick me up from campus.I tossed my phone into my bag with a heavy, bored sigh from my lips. Sapphire's POV.We left the class for the cafeteria, and we ran into Matteo on our way in, my face colliding onto his chest as his soda spilled on me. Surprisingly, Aleric wasn't there with him as usual because Matteo used to be seen mostly with Aleric as he followed Aleric around campus all the time like a bodyguard but well, he was just his right-hand man. "Hey, I am so sorry. I didn't see you coming," I apologized, wiping off the soda drink that had spilled on me from the can of soda Matteo held."Its fine. I should be the one apologizing," He said as he handed me his hankie. "Use this to clean it off. Thankfully, the drink wouldn't leave a stain on your T-shirt." He said. If there was something I noticed about Matteo Rossi, then it would be that although Matteo was reserved and was sometimes cruel due to what Aleric commands him to do, Matteo wasn't a bad guy after all. He was a gentle and easy-going guy."Oh true. Thanks," I wiped the wet spot on my blue T-shirt off."Why do
Karissa Blue Rose POV.While I was away from home for about two days, I had a premonition yesterday morning when I was still in the hotel suite I had booked down for myself. It was about Sapphire getting attacked by drunk wolves, her cloth was ripped open and her skin was bleeding. She was in tears, screaming for help, begging them to let her go but they didn't listen and just before I could see more, the premonition stopped and jolted up, breathing heavily as I looked around the hotel I was in .I was scared to death. I couldn't stay back at the hotel anymore even though I had clients who were waiting for me and also wanted me to design their wedding dresses but I couldn't stay away from Sapphire when I knew that she would need my help. I needed to make sure that premonition didn't come to pass but dammit! I didn't return home early like I had planned and I was sure it already happened but Sapphire hide it away from me the way she always does when I asked her. Sapphire was too se
Sapphire's POV."Now that makes some sense. But are you saying that I have been surrounded by human eaters since all these while? Even in college?" I inquired and Aunt karissa nodded, a whisper from her lips."Yes, Sapphire. I am sorry." I smiled softly at her. "It's fine. Don't feel bad. And I am glad you told me on time, hmm?" Aunt Karissa smiled back, giving my cheeks a pat before turning to focus on the road. The drive back home was quiet as I gaze outside the window, staring at each beautiful tree we drove past. I was aware of everything Aunt Karissa revealed to me but I had to put on a pretense. I couldn't tell her that I was already aware of the existence of these supernatural beings because I was precisely attacked and saved by the same beings who turned out to be Werewolves.I shouldn't be hiding these from her but I made a promise. I promised Aleric that I wouldn't say anything about them to anyone.'Aunt Karissa knows about their existence already so I don't know if it is
