Three months had passed since his departure from his pack, it was a verry unusual occurrence but he had needed to go to help find a rouge for the Black Moon pack. The moment he had received news that the girl who was responsible for Serena's death had escaped he was furious. But not as furious as when he realized she was alive to begin with!
Alpha Kevin had asked all of all pack alphas what should be done to the traitor and Brandon was the first to ask for the slaughter the girl. Child or not, he had hated her. Brandon hated her more than he hated Alpha Kevin, a sorry excuse of an Alpha.Alpha Brandon pressed the gas pedal harder watching as the road became a blur, he breezed past the trees in his very shitty car desperate to get home, he’d never been away from the pack this long, and he knew better than others that a pack without an Alpha was vulnerable. Especially with a dangerous wolf on the run, he couldn’t help worry about what would happen if the girl were to get into his property and kill his warriors?Even with Jon’s weekly updates on the pack and happenings, so he knew there was no danger, Brandon couldn’t shake the feeling of unease, his wolf had been restless since he heard the news of the girl’s escape. Being the deadliest pack, it wasn't uncommon of someone wanting to take over his pack, be it rogue or another pack, without him there his pack was free land. This whole situation had him riled up and thoroughly knotted, he slammed his fist on the steering wheel in frustration, he was stressed and frustrated, this is why a wolf needs a mate, he needed someone to ease the stress and calm him down from the infuriating rage.So much time had passed and they were still unable to find the girl. There was no scent left of her, the only thing Brandon could smell was the horrible cell. And to make matters more complicated, there was no description of her. When he had asked the woman, who took care of her, she told him that the girl was often dirty. She had thick hair, but was unsure of the real color, it could be a light brown as Serena's, or it could be blonde. Either way it went, it was often covered in mud or filth. No one knew if she had a wolf, or what color it was or could be.It was a trail with no directions. Himself and other Alphas had spent all their time running around the forest and the neighboring packs with no hint of where she could have gone, it was as though she had disappeared from the face of the earth. The search had come to an end and it was finally time for him to go home.Alpha Kevin pleaded for him to stay, but Brandon had spent too much time away from his pack and couldn’t stay around cleaning his fuck ups. “Brandon, if anyone could find her it's you!” Alpha Kevin said as he followed him out to his jeep. Alpha Kevin’s mate stood by the door and glared at her mate as he looked at Brandon, "I should have killed her, you are right. But I didn't think there was justice in Serena that way. I wanted to make her suffer, I wanted to... " He trailed off as his eyebrows scrunched together. Brandon slammed the tailgate up and turned towards him. "You should have killed the bitch. You could have given Serena justice that way! Instead you kept a toy." Brandon said glaring at him."I would have killed her if you couldn’t.’ he growled the words as he glared at the older Alpha. Serena was a wonderful and talented fighter; she was best friends with Brandon’s mother and guided Brandon when his mother had passed on. Serena had taught him how to fight and taught him important life lessons that he could never forget. She had gotten pregnant traveling around the packs. Some had said it was a warrior affair, and others said it was an Alpha's bastard baby.Though everyone knew the truth, Serena had found her true mate and mated. Werewolves can only have children with their true mates or forced mates. “Once a female is given a mark, she can bear them an heir” his Father had said multiple times. Brandon couldn't see Serena allowing anyone to mark her, for that reason alone, he believed her true mate to be a rouge. No one knew for sure of course, Serena refused to speak about the girl's Father. When she had her daughter, she stopped coming to Brandon’s pack so often, and when he’d heard of her passing, he felt rage for the first time, he demanded blood, taking over power from his father, command and demanded for the girl to be removed from this Earth. Knowing she had been alive all this time was a slap in the face.Walking towards the jeep's door he turned towards Alpha Kevin and glared at him, "You should have never been the Alpha. We both know Serena was supposed to run this pack, you are a pathetic excuse of a leader." He growled and looked around at the empty land and woods. Alpha Kevin had sent everyone in his pack in search of the girl, "if I find her, I will do what you were never capable of doing." he said and got in the jeep.My hand curled into a fist as I punched the wheel once again. These past months have made me so tense, we searched everywhere we could for her. If what Alpha Kevin said was true, she should be around their territory. She wouldn't have had enough strength to run as fast as it seemed she did. It was a six-hour drive to Alpha Kevin's and as Brandon turned down the road to see his territory, his wolf wanted to be released. He pulled the jeep to the side and walked into the forest, Brandon clothes shredded as his wolf took over and raced into the woods. ‘Couldn't wait, could you?’ his wolf Aero only let out a chuckle as his large paws hit the earth.Aero put in all his energy into this run, it had been a long three months. And half of it he was stuck in Brandon, ‘after that car ride I needed to be freed.’ Aero replied with a grunt. Brandon didn't mind as they rushed around the familiar territory. We looked at the pack house seeing the lights and the pack members, some of the warriors on patrol held their heads down when they saw him. But something felt off in the pack as he looked for his beta, it wasn't long until Jon's tan wolf rushed up to greet him and lowered its head, “Welcome home Alpha! The paperwork has all been finalized and the schedule for the patrol is on your desk. I've also gotten the men to cooperate these past few months. Some of them are now considering each other as friends.” Jon said as he started to rub beside Brandon. That was good news, since they took down the Silver Sky pack, the men Brandon had allowed to join the pack refused to cooperate with pack members. Brandon had at one point considered killing them but thought against it for this reason, more men mean more warriors.“Clever, how did you get them to become so close?” Brandon asked as they reached the end of the territory. Aero stopped his run and turned towards his Beta. “I guess you can say they found a common interest. Group bounding." Jon was chuckling at his inside joke that his Alpha couldn't understand. Brandon stared at him until he stopped his rambling and straightened his wolf up. “Good work Beta, go rest. You deserve it.” Aero said in a strong voice. The tan wolf lowered his head and turned around running away from his Alpha.Something about Jon just never settled right with Aero. He was unhappy when Brandon had made him Beta, and he was extremely unhappy when they had to leave our pack with him. But, returning home with no problems pleased him enough to keep his mouth shut. Brandon tried to hide his smirk as they leaned their head back to howl but before they caught a scent, one very enchanting it pulled him in, everything felt as if it had frozen. The black night sky was cracking and the stars were falling on him as the beautiful scent invaded both their senses. Aero stumbled back for a moment as they sat on the ground, breathing in the scent. The lovely scent with a sickening iron scent? That lovely scent that seemed clouded by something before Brandon could even concentrate on what was wrong Aero let out a vicious growl, one he’d only heard once before. The sound lingered in the air and instantly made Brandon obey his command as they ran. “What is going on Aero?” he asked frantically as they continued to search for the source of that smell. He spoke once they were close to the river and he stuck his snout in the cold water, ‘Mate.’ His voice was not happy or excited and as they ran towards the delightful smell. It wasn't until he stopped walking that Brandon was able to understand why.A few feet ahead of them was a black bag that had blood seeping from small holes. Brandon’s stomach dropped at the sight, but ever so slightly he caught a slight movement. Aero splashed in the water and got as close as he could, ‘you need to do this.’ Aero said as he shifted. He whined loudly in Brandon’s head; his hands quickly grabbed the bag sitting on a dry rock he leaned over pulling the bag close to him. Brandon’s hand ripped the bag open; he was surprised as cold blood droplets flying onto his skin. But he ignored the droplets as her scent filled his nostrils, this was her.Sure, he couldn't even see her face as the horrible stench of males and blood covered her scent. Brandon could only see her wounded body; an arm that was covered in bruises and claw marks were draped across her hips. It looked as if she had jeans on, but now they were nothing but straps. Her blood was mixing with the water as he watched the color change.Once Brandon could see more of her body, he knew she was seriously injured. There were multiple large wounds and whip marks on her body. The skin that was ripped from the whips had small pieces of silver stuck on the flesh. He raised his now wet hand and slowly touched the blood that continued to fall as he stared in horror at the sight. The whip marks started from her neck and traveled down to her ankles, Brandon could tell the whip was wrapped around her as some traveled around her arms and others around her torso. Her wounds reminded him of red snaps with how they wrapped around her arms. She was unconscious, her mouth slightly opened as he carried her closer to the land. Once he had her on the cold land, he pulled the bag away to reveal her face. Her pale face shined in the moonlight, the first thing he noticed was the deep purple bruises forming under her eyes. There was a cut down her eyebrow and wounds around her scalp. Her brown hair was wet and water still dripped from her eyebrow. She had rips along her thick parted lips, her bottom lip was busted and her left cheek was severely swollen.Brandon stared at his mate until I noticed her lips turning a blue hue. He laid her on the ground and placed a hand on her heart, feeling the shallow beats and quickly memorized their beats as he counted them in his head. She wasn't dead yet, but he knew if he was a few minutes late she would have been. She couldn't have been in the water long, which was relieving to know. He touched her face as water spit for her lips. Her eyes stayed closed as her head rolled back, "I’m going to get you help." he said in a small voice as he mind-linked the pack doctor and slowly picked her up. Her body hung limply in his arms as he carried her away from the lake. Her wet hair was uneven as it clung against his naked body, her blood continued to fall from her wounds covering his arms and chest. As he got closer to the pack, Brandon couldn't help but bring her naked body closer to him, shielding her from anyone who could see her.Brandon wanted to keep her warm, he wanted to protect her. ‘We need to protect her.' Aero claimed as he growled towards some warriors. His body shook with rage as he sprinted towards the small white building, “we will.” he said in a stern voice as a nurse opened the door and covered her mouth looking at the woman in his arms. “Alpha.” She said after a moment and then ran to grab a bed, "Doctor Linn will be in here any moment but, I think you should step outside." She said as she grabbed a pole with wires and tubes and started to attach them to their mate’s bare chest.Instantly, he could hear the slow beating of her heart and stared at the screen in shock. Brandon knew he needed to leave; he shouldn't be there. But he stood by the bed protectively looking down to her sleeping face, "I'll stay here." he said in a hard voice. The nurse only nodded as she turned his mate on her side to look at her back. She then looked up to him, then looked at the mark on her back. Aero howled in pain as they stared at the mark on their mate.Brandon clenched his teeth as the nurse grabbed a cap and stuffed all of the woman's hair in it. "You will have to leave when the doctor comes in. Do you know her mate?" The nurse asked. Aero growled at the order she had given and the question, Brandon only shook his head. "No, I don't" he said through clenched teeth and touched the burning mark, "But, I'll have to find him." He said in a small voice, Aero added to it with, ‘and kill him.'Everything was dark, so dark, but that was not what bothered Morana. Her real issue was with the pain, Morana could not understand why she felt pain all over her body especially when she was supposed to be dead. “Why do I still feel pain? What is that noise?” she tried opening her eyes but was unable to, Morana felt like she was frozen in ice, unable to move yet she could feel immense pain, was this what hell felt like? After all she’d been through, she still somehow ended up in hell “Hontas, it really hurts” Hontas never did reply, ‘Hontas?’ Morana tried again to reach her other half, searching through her mind she came back empty, the silence caused her more pain, sending her into a panicked state. "Morana." Her mother's voice rang through, Morana jumped on Serena’s bed and grabbed a handful of her mother’s sheets pulling it up her much smaller frame. She was back in the pack with her mother chasing after her. Serena finally caught up with her little daughter, a smile tattooed on h
By the time Morana woke up again, there was no tube connected to her mouth. The beeping was lower than before but the pain was still there. She tried to control herself from wincing , slowly opening her eyes.Everything was in a haze as her eyes adjusted to the light. The first thing she saw was a tall box beside her, a green line moving up and down. Looking down, Morana could see something clipping her finger and tubes were stuck in her arm. Then, she had a looked around, noticing she was in a white room, with a thin blanket rested over her legs and stomach. Even though two sheets were under the blanket it she was freezing. Morana slowly lifted her head and winced trying to shake off the growing headache as she sat up on the bed.Her hands fell at her sides as she felt the heavy bandages against her skin. Slowly, Morana sat back down and looked back at the tube that was around her finger. After lifting the weight up, Morana became bored of it. She leaned her head back and winced as
Walking out of the pack's hospital Brandon could feel Aero's sadness, neither Aero nor himself felt comfortable leaving their mate in a bed by herself. Rubbing the back of his neck, Brandon tried to control the anger growing in him. Even though Morana couldn't talk, her action made it clear that even if she could, she wouldn't have. Brandon could smell the fear coming from her, and he knew she was afraid of him. Morana had only concentrated on Brandon when the anesthesia was in her system. He was never one to ask fora woman's attention, but he wanted Morana’s. Brandon wanted to memorize her face, he wanted to hear her voice. There were so many things he wanted to do, like telling his pack that Morana was his mate, not someone who forced their mark on her. Brandon was her true mate, and Morana was hers. 'Do you think she is upset with us?’ Aero asked sadly. Brandon only frowned and looked at his house behind the pack house, ‘Why are we keeping her a secret? Why can't we say she's our
That night Aero stayed up through the night, howling in pain whenever Brandon will spend nights anywhere that wasn’t beside his mate. The wolf wanted nothing more than to spend his time with Morana and he made know every single hour. He was unhappy that Brandon spent his nights with un-mated females, that they were welcomed in any house they stopped by.Aero hated Brandon whenever thought of Morana almost rejecting them. She was beautiful, perfect in every way and what Brandon was doing was hurting himself as well. But he couldn't help but feel disappointed, he was meant to be glad the moon goddess had given him a mate after he had lost all hope of finding one. What he couldn’t understand was why did she give him one who was afraid of him?How was she to run a pack along with him if she cowered at the mare sound of his voice? Brandon couldn't picture her being a strong Luna, she would always be in need of guarding and he would constantly be in fear of losing her. There is no way to le
It has been two weeks since Morana found out that Brandon was on the search for her and she’d stayed beside Brandon as he searched for 'Serena's daughter', keeping her secret to herself. If he only knew the dangerous rouge he wanted dead was sitting right beside him. Hontas was tasked with keeping Morana calm at all times and not allow herself to get distracted. So Morana kept her focus on Brandon. It was getting difficult to be around Brandon for long, Morana was always on edge, waiting for the moment when he would snap. Waiting for him to hurt her, but he never lost control of his anger. Brandon never even got frustrated around her. The females were long in the past but Morana had to remind herself to keep a distance from him. She should be angry; five days wasn't enough but for some reason Morana had completely forgiven the idiot. Out of all the men she’d known, Brandon was the only one who exercised patience with her. Sometimes during the day, he would say a word asking her to r
Sitting in a tub, Morana crossed her ankles while she looked at the bubbles that covered her chest. Her brown hair was up in a half pony tail the escaping hairs resting with a hot rag that was against her neck. Morana moved in the tub and looked at the white wall write in front of her. Two weeks had gone by and she had started to feel comfortable living with Brandon, Morana hadn't seen Cameron since he was appointed her Beta, since then, Brandon had been by her side this whole time. Though, today he would be leaving to the pack house so Cameron will be coming to the house to watch her. Hontas purred in Morana’s head when she lifted her arm and watched the bubbles fall down her skin, Morana couldn't help but giggle at the fluffy, soapy creation. She hadn't had a bath before, or maybe she just couldn't remember taking a bath. Brandon had made her the bath and promised to make breakfast before he left. All these seemed too good to be true, Morana couldn’t wipe the smile off my face as
Cameron and Morana watched so many movies as the snow fell heavily outside. Cameron had turned the heat up multiple times through the day but Morana was still cold. Grabbing a blanket Morana leaned against the couch and continued to watch a movie about cowboys. Cameron turned out to be quite a clown and made silly jokes throughout all the movies. The time Morana spent with him was comforting, very awkward at first but it blossomed to something warm and sweet. His jokes were funny, Morana had a hard time not laughing at him, but that didn’t make the need for her mate dwindle, she still wanted Brandon back. Cameron was very tensed at first when he sat close to Morana on the couch, but he was slowly able to relax. That was until the sun started to set, the cold wind blew against the open windows and the snow seemed to blanket everything in sight, the two sat by the window, watching the shift in the lightness outside. Very slowly Cameron turned towards Morana, his face turning serious a
Walking out of the room Morana turned to Brandon's office, she peeked in to see him pacing the room as he held a hand to his forehead while speaking on the phone. He looked stressed, his hair was all over the place and he had dark and heavy bags around his eyes, Brandon growled and mumbled on the phone, "Fine." He said and ended the call. He turned towards the door and stopped as he caught sight of Morana, "I didn't think you would come." He said and frowned as he looked at the phone, "I have to leave" He said sadly. Morana softly sighed in response, her confidence fell in waves but, she tried to hide her disappointment, keeping a poker face as she leaned against the wall."of c-course." She whispered causing Brandon to sigh and grabbed a jacket. "A visitor was supposed to arrive tomorrow. But apparently they decided today was better." Brandon explained. Morana’s eyes widened in fear and Brandon walked towards her. He leaned down and placed a warm kiss on her forehead, "If you would
A few minutes later, Morana heard Brandon run up the stairs, “Just checking, so do you want to go food shopping? Or should i just order something?" He asked. After having such a long day shopping for clothes, Morana didn think she had it in her to shop for anything, the thought of it made her feel sick in the stomach, and grocery stores were worse, the store always seemed to be too hot and the food was too pricey. It was way worse than shopping for clothes in her opinion, Brandon always said not to worry about the price but she still found herself worrying about the price. "I don't mind eating in." She said and looked over to him with a big smile, "If we go you'll spend a lot of-""I told you not to worry about that."Brandon said as he looked over at her, "Our pack is wealthy. We even get money from the humans." He added. "Why do humans pay you money?" She asked and tilting her head, confused, it was her first time hearing of this."Well, only the high up in human territory kno
Brandon opened the jeep door and took a hold of Morana’s hand as she got down, staring at the large house in front of her. Morana’s heart pounded loudly in her chest as she held onto randon's hand. They silently walked towards the stairs, leading to what Morana guessed was Brandon's room. Once up the stairs Morana noticed just how big the pack house must be with so many doors leading to goddess knows where, Brandon opened the first door and pulled her into the first set of doors in the pack's house. Then the room blew warm air towards her face with multiple coats hanging on the wall.Morana’s confidence hit rock bottom along with her stomach once she heard men shouting, staring at the TV while sitting on a white sofa to the right. She watched them, so glued to the screen that they didn’t seem to notice that they had walked into the house. She noticed some of them had some things in their hands as they pressed the buttons frantically. The boys didn’t look older than sixteen and were
Brandon’s eyes followed his mate as she went into a store. Her bags were still hanging from her hand as she picked up a white shirt before he exhaled andI turned to Rose. He hadn't seen her since she left for an official meeting at the Red Moon Pack. She was from the White Wolves pack. A small pack that never caused him problems. But, upsetting and disrespecting his Luna caused enough to make her a threat. Rose was a wonderful warrior and that was what had drawn him to her, she was carefree and had a wild side to her. Now, he needed to put a stop to whatever it was she was thinking. Brandon took a step away from her and smoothened his shirt, not forgetting to wipe off what remnant she might have left on his lips. "Rose." he said and looked down at her brown eyes, "I-""I've called you, why haven't you answered? We were supposed to get together when I returned but you seem to be busy with pack duties, I haven't even been able to catch a glimpse of you" She asked and frowned, very s
Brandon being able to hear and practically see Morana’s thoughts was very facinating to her, and she could hear and see his. The hurt and misunderstandings were over, Now that she could feel all that he felt she could find it in her to fight, especially now that she knew just how good her body could feel in his, She never wanted it to stop. For the past two days, Brandon seemed to agree with They rolled in bed and moved all around the room going again and again until they passed out from sheer pleasurable.Brandon was insatiable, he couldn’t get enough of Morana, no matter how many times he had had her, or how long he spent learning every curve, dip and swell of her body, once she was up, they were back at it.It wasn't until the second day they were able to separate from each other without feeling torn from th
Finally! Jon and Amanda had said their goodbyes and as they went out the door, Morana was finally able to breath. Since her little conversation with Amanda, Morana noticed the she-wolf had become silent, sporting a worried look on her face. Amanda had tried miserably to hide her confusion, curiosity and doubt concerning her mate, and as much as Morana was glad that Amanda had started to doubt her mate is the perfect man she had always thought he was, she felt bad for her new friend who seemed to be battling with the news she just got. If only she had more control of her wolf, these days she seemed to be a completely different woman, some days she loved it, other days, like today, she wished her wolf listened to her more. While she pondered on how much she had changed, Brandon stood in front of the closed-door string at the intriguing woman who seemed to have transformed completely in just a few days. He wanted to ask her what had happened to cause the swift change since the day he had
“It took me two batches but I think I finally got it,” Morana said smiling brightly as they stepped back into the dining, “it’s my take on berry pies, I made a Berry Ice-cream pie”, she announced when they got to the table. Brandon was still recovering from her one-eighty shift in countenance; Morana ignored his confused look and instead spoke to him with the sweetest smile. “The weather is lovely today; I think it would be wonderful to have this on the porch, don’t you?”Brandon just kept on staring at her like she had grown another head, “Brandon! Did you hear what I said?” coming out of his dazed state, Brandon shook his head returning her smile “yeah, it’s too lovely to remain in doors. Why don’t you beautiful ladies head on out while we grab a bottle of Falerum and some glasses”Morana smiled sweetly at Amanda and helped usher her to the porch, the two sat on the comfortable swing Brandon had made as an apology only a few days ago. The contraption was a piece of art, carefully woven
Jon was the first person to catch Morana’s eyes once the door opened, she had practiced how she would avoid seeing him today and yet at the first chance she got Morana caught herself looking at the man who hunted her dreams. The big bad wolf, literarily, who had used her like a piece of rag and tossed her out to die. Today, as she stood by her mate, with her eyes set on the man who months ago could make her feel small just by his gaze, Morana realised that all her fear was for naught. Not only was Jon unable to harm her any more, but now she had more power than he could dream of. Taking a deep breath, she let go of all the pent-up anxiety and fear that had built up since she was informed of the meeting, this was her territory, her pack and no one was going to force her out of it.She gave one last glance at the beta before turning her gaze to sweet Amanda, today was going to be like every normal dinner and Morana was not going to let anyone ruin… especially not her angry wolf. “Amand
‘She held our hand, mate just made hand contact’ Aero kept chanting right from the house till they got into the car and it was starting to get on Brandon’s nerves, “will you shut it already? Any louder and she’ll hear you” he tried reprimanding his wolf. ‘Let her, I don’t mind at all, I could die a happy man’ was Aero’s snarky come back, the wolf had been waiting for a sign from Morana , to show she was starting to heal, that she could one day forgive them. All it took was for her to take their hand, to reach out first, to crave for contact and take it. Now he was the luckiest being alive, his mate would come around and finally they would be one again.“You sound like a creep, things are going well these days but don’t read too much into this, she only held our hand, she didn’t declare her undying love for us so calm your shit” Brandon warned, not wanting to raise his hopes any higher. True Morana holding his hand willingly came as a shock and a very happy surprise at that but he didn
Sophia was unsure whether if she should be worried or amused. Morana had carried on like nothing had happened, she want about the market with a smile on her face, happily greeting pack members as she passed. Cameron seemed to share in her confusion “is it just me or does Morana seem…creepy?” he whispered as their Luna as she smelt some fresh tomatoes, the smile tattooed on her lips. “I’m both scared and impressed” Sophia admitted with a sigh “should we really keep what just happened from Alpha?” he asked still keeping his eyes on Morana.“I don’t know what to do” was her simple reply as she brushed her fingers through her hair. “Let’s see how things work out, if something like that should ever happen again we run straight to Alpha okay? But till then let’s just keep our eyes on Mo for now”. Cameron agreed with her decision, there was no point in telling the Brandon about what had transpired in the house, especially since Morana was fine now. There was also the fact that none of them w
