Meeting my mother

Farrow's point of view

I did not just hate my mother, I despised her. But if I was to be truly honest, I hated my father even more.

And I placed all my anger, my resentment, my frustration on him. It was the only way I knew to make him feel the same pain I carried every single day.

I became his nightmare, the thorn that refused to be plucked from his side. If he said right, I went left. If he said up, I dived down. Every rule, every expectation, every command he made, I went against them headstrong just to see the vein in his forehead bulge with frustration.

Skipping classes became a hobby, a personal rebellion against my father. My teachers stopped bothering to report me because they knew nothing would change. The name Hudson carried weight, and as long as that name was on the school’s donation list, I was untouchable.

And drugs became my best buddy. They made me feel nothing from the expectations that suffocated me.

The clubs became my sanctuary, the one place I could breat

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Waiting for the results

Marrissa's point of view It had been three agonizing days. Three days of waiting for the WBA results. I hated the wait, hate not knowing what the result would be.I always jerk whenever I hear the sound of notification on my laptop. I checked my mails more than ten times everyday, checking for any good news.I have asked Morgan about the results almost five times in those three days and each time I ask him he rolls his eyes.Today, at the breakfast table,I asked again. "How many more days do we have to wait?" Morgan rolled his eyes, setting his fork down with force. "Marrissa, thinking about the results would not make them come any faster. Neither will you asking me about it every day. You need to stop obsessing over it." He took a sip of his coffee, eyeing me like he hated the fact that I was constantly reminding him about the WBA.I frowned. "But what if the results come in today and we do make it?"Morgan sighed, rubbing his temple as though my worry was giving him a headache. "A

Marrissa's point of view I turned towards the door, but paused when I heard Morgan's next words.“You and I know we have a connection, something we can not hide or control.”“Connection?” I asked as I turned towards him.“I see nor feel no connection with you Morgan, apart from the fact that I'm unfortunately carrying your child,” “Really, Then why do you melt at my every touch, " he said, cutting my statement.“Oh please Morgan, you aren't really the best I have had.”He raised an eyebrow and walked towards me. I could sense danger coming but stupidly I did nothing but watch me.He closed the door behind me and whispered in my ears.“Marrissa, you know the truth, why fight it?”His voice brought a chilly sensation down my body and I suddenly felt wet.I saw the corner of his mouth curled into a smile as if he knew the effect he was having on me.Then he pulled up my shirt and my bra in half. My breasts tumbled out like they were tired of being trapped in. Morgan looked at them.for a

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Celebrating the results

Morgan's point of view I smiled as I watched Marrissa walk out of my office in anger, her waist swaying left and right, her clothes revealing her curves in the most sexy way with each step she took. My body moved with excitement as I thought about the hot steamy sex we just shared. My shirt was still open and my breath still unsteady. It's clear that neither I nor Marrissa can deny the pull between us. No matter how much we fought, no matter how much she annoyed me with her stubborn attitude, when it came to sex, we are in perfect harmony. Our bodies and minds always move in the same rhythm. “If sex is all I can get from our relationship, then I'm okay with it.” I thought with a smile. With a sigh, I reached for the package Kathy had dropped off earlier. I tore off the wrapping and found a small box inside. I raised an eyebrow in curiosity as I lifted the lid, revealing a neatly folded piece of paper.I unfolded the paper and read the contents.*"Congratulations! Your project has

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Showing gratitude

Morgan's point of view After dad left, I went back to my seat and stared at the screen of my laptop. The fact that my company is part of the nominees for the award still shocked me. But even as I read the words, they felt blurred, too good to be true. The WBA project had finally been secured, and yet, I felt unsettled. No, that was not the right word. I felt… grateful. And that was a rare thing for me. Marrissa had saved the project, saved me from my own arrogance. She had worked tirelessly despite everything I had thrown at her—my distrust, my accusations, my inability to see past my own rage. And she had not done it for me. She had done it because she believed in the work, in the company, in herself. I leaned back in my chair, taking a deep breath. Marrissa had every right to walk away, to let me crash and burn. But she stayed. And I had done nothing to show her that I appreciate her, from the very first day I set my eyes on her. I was not the type of man to offer empty

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Another surprise for marrisa

Morgan's point of view Common sense told me to ask Marrissa what she meant, how she really expected me to act, but instead, I walked out of the room angrily. I clenched my fists as my heart pounded. I should have asked her. Should have made her explain. But my pride would not allow it. Instead, I left, allowing my emotions to get the best of me. I walked down the hallway, my anger increasing at every step I took, slamming the door open and shut I sank into bed with an angry sigh. Everything around me felt dark and unappealing, making me more angry.Marrissa had a way of getting under my skin like no one else. She challenged me in ways I wasn’t prepared for, made me question things I never thought I’d need to. And now, after everything, she expects something from me—but what? The echo of our conversation haunted me, her words lingering in my ears like a whisper I couldn't escape. Instead of letting my frustration continue, I turned to something I could control. I decided to plan

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Not this time

Marrissa’s point of view I walked back to meet Morgan, I met him frozen like a statue, his mouth widely open, like someone who just suffered from a stroke. I will not take a cab home nor will I walk. After all of this was planned by him. So he should suffer the consequences."You can not be serious Marrissa.," Morgan finally spoke."Oh, I'm dead serious," I shot back. "There's no way I'm walking home after this mess — your mess. If anyone's walking, it's you. Or better yet, call a cab."I turned to leave, but before I could take another step, his hand shot out, grabbing my wrist. His grip was firm, not painful, but enough to stop me."Marrissa," he whispered, his voice cracking at the edges. "What is it? How do I get through to you? I don't know what else to do."I clenched my jaw, refusing to look at him. If I did, I might break. "You don’t get it, do you? You never did.""Then make me understand!" Morgan’s voice rose, frustration spilling over. His other hand moved to my shoulder,

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Speaking to dad

Morgan's point of view Every word Marrissa said felt like a punch straight to the heart. Although she did not scream, she did not even cry but the calm tone she used cut deeper than any shouting match ever could. Her words echoed in my head long after she walked away, leaving me standing there, lost in thought. She was right about everything. And the worst part was, I could not even defend myself. I had taken her for granted, her patience, her loyalty. I kept pushing her away like it would somehow protect me from whatever I was afraid of. But all it did was push her closer to the edge — to the point where she might finally be done with me. But, I can not lose her. I would do anything to keep her by my side. But I did not know what to do — how to fix this — so I did the only thing I could think of. I went to my father. He was in his study, sipping a glass of whiskey in one hand and a pen in the other. For a moment, I just stood in the door, not sure how to start. He looked u

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    A night to remember

Marrissa's point of view It's been two days since Morgan and I spoke in the garden. His words sounded sincere but I was still scared. I was tired of getting my hopes up and watching him break it into many pieces. So I told him to give some time to think about it, funny I expected him to complain or even argue, but he didn't.Our work routine continued as normal while we waited for the WBA ceremony where the winner would be awarded. One Friday morning,I was surprised to see a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a card attached to it, inviting me for dinner.I left the mansion an hour before the time. Morgan had instructed one of his drivers to take me to the location. The restaurant was hidden away from the crowded streets of Paris, a quiet but beautiful place with ivy-covered walls and glowing lanterns. It was not the kind of place you stumbled upon by accident, and I wondered how Morgan found such a quiet yet romantic spot.. The soft sound of the guitar from the musician in the cor

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    A moment of peace

Marrissa's point of view The silence in the room stretched down a long time, and my mind would not stop racing. The tension between us was indescribable. I stared at the amber liquid inside the bottle, swirling it slowly. I knew he was shocked to hear me talk about bullies. Anyone who knows me now without hearing my story would think I have always been this outspoken and bold Hell, there were times I didn't want morning to come because I was too scared to go to school.“I was bullied in school,” I said, not really intending to—but the words had already started. “I was that fat girl. The one people whispered about in hallways and laughed at during gym class. Boys used to pretend to flirt with me as a joke.”Morgan's brows drew together, his lips parted slightly. But I continued before he could say anything.“I hated myself. Every inch of my body was annoying to me. So one day I stopped eating. I went on some insane diet I found online. I nearly collapsed at school twice. I passed ou

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Drinking away the tension

Morgan's point of view I walked around the room, hating the silence between me and Marrissa, hating myself more for ruining what would have been a perfect union.Marrissa stood on the far end of the room, her arms crossed tight over her chest, refusing to look at me. And really, could I blame her? I had messed up again. She had every right to be furious, but something about the weight of her silence, the way she did not even want to fight anymore, made my chest ache in a way I didn’t know how to stop.I ran a hand through my hair, frustrated and feeling helpless. As I walked further into the room, my eyes caught a cabinet in the corner. I walked over and opened it. Inside it was a full bottle of whiskey standing tall like some forgotten souvenir from a better time.“Perfect,” I whispered. “At least this would lighten the mood.”I grabbed it and twisted the cap off with more force than necessary, and slowly walked over to Marrissa. I sat down near her, not close enough to invade her s

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Locked in

Marrissa's point of view I held the doorknob, needing to get out of that room, away from Morgan, away from the mess of emotions churning inside me. I twisted it hard to the left. Nothing happened. I turned it to the right. Still nothing.I frowned and tried again, this time with more force. The knob did not budge.“What the hell?” I muttered under my breath, refusing to believe it. I twisted and pulled, shook the door, hit the panel with the side of my hand. It did not move. “What the fuck!” I yelled, my voice bouncing off the quiet room. I smacked the door with both hands, as the frustration in me increased.Morgan was standing behind me, watching with an irritating calm. “You may have locked it from the outside,” he said.I turned sharply to face him, fuming. “Are you serious right now?” My arms were crossed tightly across my chest. I was seriously holding back the urge to scream. “Did you do this?”He shrugged, and that annoyed me more than anything. His nonchalant attitude made m

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    The moment of truth

Marrissa's point of view Mr Thornhill gave a wonderful speech after the first dance. Morgan looked at me and smiled, then, without a word, he took my hand. The moment he took my hand and led me away from the glowing ballroom, I did not resist. Not because I was still not mad. Oh no, I was furious, but something in his touch made it hard to pull away. His fingers were warm, as if he knew exactly what he was doing. We walked in silence through the quiet hallway, away from the music and laughter. I did not ask where we were going. I didn’t really care. I needed a moment to breathe, to escape all the people congratulating him, calling him “Son of a governor,” like he was royalty. And me—just standing there, smiling politely while he introduced me to everyone as his wife.Wife.I pinched him the first time he said it, hoping it was a mistake. A slip of the tongue, maybe. But he kept doing it. Over and over. “This is my wife, Marrissa.” Like it was the most natural thing in the world. We s

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    The party

Marrissa's point of view I took my time preparing for the event. Not only because I wanted to impress Morgan and everyone else at Mr Thornhill celebratory, but also because tonight, more than anything, I wanted to feel confident. I wanted to be in control. The deep emerald gown I chose clung to my body in all the right places. It was off-shoulder, with a tasteful slit and a cascading train that followed like a whisper behind me. My hair was styled into a sleek low bun, a few curled strands framing my face. I kept my jewelry simple—just a pair of diamond studs and a thin bracelet that caught the light when I moved. After one last glance in the mirror, I drew in a deep breath. I told myself I was beautifully ready. But nothing could have prepared me for the sight that greeted me the moment I stepped downstairs.Morgan stood at the bottom of the staircase, dressed in a black velvet tuxedo that looked as if it had been tailored just for him. His hair was slicked back neatly, and the glin

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Party preparation

Morgan's point of view It was two days to the celebratory party and the mansion felt more alive than usual. Florists walked in and out with different arrangements of flowers. Catering staff bustled in the kitchen, and the faint sound of jazz floated through the hallway from the audio team doing a sound check. Preparations for the celebratory party were in full swing, and somehow, I found myself stuck with Marrissa. Not that I was complaining, far from it. But working this closely with her almost madee insane with want for her.She moved around with quiet control, clipboard in her hand, her brows slightly furrowed in focus as she coordinated the team setting up the ballroom. Her voice was soft, yet firm commanded attention without effort. There was something magnetic about watching her work. It reminded me why she had impressed my father, why she had once captivated me, and why—despite everything—I can not to stay away from her.“Are you going to help or just stand there pretending

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Unfinished Business

Morgan's point of view After our meeting with the event planner, Marrissa started to avoid me. Again.I had spent the last thirty minutes searching for her in my father’s mansion, only to be met with empty rooms and dead silence. It was driving me insane.I wasn’t used to this—chasing.I wasn’t used to needing something and not getting it.And yet, here I was, pacing the hallways like a damn lunatic, my heart pounding harder with every empty space I found. Finally, I found her in the garden. She was sitting on a stone bench, with her arms wrapped around herself. She was staring at the fountain like it held the answers to the universe. The late afternoon sun cast a golden glow over her skin, making her look almost beautiful. She didn’t hear my footsteps as I got closer to her, or maybe she just pretended not to. Either way, I took the moment to study her. The way her shoulders were tense. The way her fingers curled around the fabric of her dress, like she was trying to hold herself fr

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    A dangerous game

Marrissa's point of view As I watched Morgan walk away, I let out a slow, frustrated sigh, pressing my fingers against my temples. “I was supposed to be gone by now,” I whispered to myself. After my ice-cream date with Molly, I took time to think about what Molly said, and I concluded she was right. I couldn't stay here, I shouldn't. I had spent the remainder of the day planning my escape—carefully going over every detail to make sure no one, especially Morgan, would find me. I was ready. So sure that by this time the next day, I would be far away from Paris, far away from Morgan and everything about him, far away from my past. But now? Now I was stuck.I flopped onto the bed, staring at the ceiling, my mind racing. How did I let this happen?I wasn’t stupid—I knew staying, even for a few days, was dangerous. Not just because of Morgan’s unpredictable nature but because of my own heart.I sighed again, rolling onto my stomach, hugging a pillow to my chest. I just need to get throu

  • Bringing My Arrogant CEO To His Knees    Holding on to her

Morgan's point of view I barely remember the drive back to my father’s mansion. My hands gripped the steering wheel tighter than necessary and my foot pressed harder on the gas pedal than was safe. My mind was a mess, tangled between fear and hop Marrissa had to be there. “It's possible she went back to Dad's mansion to rest. She could have gotten tired of the serene at the hotel and wanted a change of environment.” That thought was the only thing that kept me sane.As soon as I pulled up, I didn’t even bother parking properly. I flung the car door open and ran into the house. My heart pounded against my ribs as I took the stairs two at a time, my only thought being, “please let her be here.” I reached her door and pushed it open without knocking. And the emptiness inside her room hit me hard. The sight of the neatly made bed and untouched belongings sent a sharp wave of panic through me. I called her again, pressing the phone to my ear, my pulse hammering. Still no reply. I
