Markus was aware of Victor's sarcasm in his tone. His face darkened even more.

"Is there anything else? It's almost 2:00 am now. I'm really tired."

"Aren't you a night owl? You are tired?" Markus retorted irritably.

"I have to break my bad habits for my fiancée," Victor replied. He was subtly reminding Markus that he needed to work on controlling his behavior now that he had someone he cared about.

Markus' face flushed with anger as he absorbed Victor's sarcasm. He left Victor's mansion in a daze, not even realizing how he got into his car or how he had driven away from Serenity Heights.

Henry noticed that his face looked increasingly grim. He asked cautiously, "Mr. Glenn didn't agree to it?"
