Chris looked at the pot again. Clearly, he thought that the succulent didn't even look nice, let alone cute.

He eyed the scarf she'd thrown on the couch. It wasn't much, so it was obvious from her speed that she was terrible at arts and crafts and didn't have the patience for it.

"Mr. Huber probably yelled at you a lot for your lack of patience, huh?" Both sculpting and knitting took a lot of patience, after all.

Kathryn shook her head. "No, he only yelled at me if I made a mistake." Lewis Huber was known for his temper, but he'd always been strangely patient with her.

"You had the patience to learn relief sculpting?" Chris asked.

"Because I liked it," Kathryn replied. She genuinely loved relief sculpting, so she was good at it.

Speaking of sculpting, she'd actually gotten a custom order from someone a past customer had referred. However, since she was pregnant and getting ready to leave Harborlean, she declined.
