Tara knocked on Chris' office door.

"Come in," a man's voice said seriously.

When Tara entered, only Chris was there. She guessed Kathryn was in the lounge again.

Kathryn was so blessed to have Chris take her to and from work and keep her by his side. Who would dare try to mess with such a loving couple?

That ex-girlfriend was so arrogant it made Tara's head hurt. "Mr. Albert, Ms. Davis is here," she said as softly as possible, clearly trying not to let Kathryn hear her.

"I won't meet her!" Chris spat out his reply coldly, then went back to doing paperwork.

"Got it." Tara nodded and didn't try to explain further or say a good word on Mia's behalf. She didn't even mention she'd brought a thermal flask.
