My stepmother raised her hand and was about to slap me when we heard a footstep.

“What’s happening here?”

It was my father. Was this some kind of drama? I was really tired and just wanted to rest, but here I was! Just great.

I saw Vina crying as she ran to my father. She hugged him as if she was a kid who got her candy taken away from her and wanted someone to tell her about it.

“Dad Cass doesn’t want me here. I can feel it!”

Here we go with her nonsense statement again. What a great actress she is.

My father looked at me disappointedly. My lips parted, I couldn’t believe him. I wanted to say a word and defend myself but I chose to shut my mouth instead. My father did change. It started when my mother died.

“Vina will have your room now. Just sleep now in the guestroom. You’ll leave tomorrow morning since you’ll be preparing for your wedding.” His voice was serious and firm.

Vina looked happy as if she just won. She even gave me an irritating look. I turned my back and didn’t say a word. I didn't want them to see me breaking down in front of them. Never.

I woke up early because someone woke me up; it was our maid. Someone was looking for me, that was what she said. I immediately took a bath and prepared.

I saw a woman in the living room sipping a coffee. When she saw me, she stood up and gave me a respectful smile.

“I’m Katrina, I was assigned by Mr. Lannister to assist you, Ma’am.” She extended her hand for a handshake. I took it immediately and smiled at her politely.

“Just call me, Cass or Cassandra.”

She nodded at me. We headed out of the house. A man in his black suit, looking like a bodyguard was waiting for us. He was standing near the car’s door. It was a Lamborghini! He bowed when he saw me and opened a door for me.

“From now on, you’ll stay in Lannister Hotel ‘til the wedding,” Katrina said as she was scanning something from the papers she was holding.

I nodded my head. “What about my things?”

My things were still left at the house. I didn’t even bring any clothes.

“Don’t worry about it, Ma’a— I mean Cassandra. We already have everything ready for you.” She smiled at me.

I was in awe as I saw the tall building. This was the Lannister Hotel? Lannister business was known worldwide, but I never saw Killian Lannister; he was hard to find. I never had a glimpse of him.

We stepped out of the car. We entered the hotel and someone immediately assisted us. I saw Katrina talking to someone, it was the manager of the hotel.

“Take a rest first, Cassandra. We have a lot of discussions to do later for the preparation of your wedding,” Katrina said casually and formally.

I sighed. This was really real, ha? How I wished that this was just a dream.

We headed out from the elevator. We entered a presidential suite. I literally gasped as I saw how luxurious the room was as I saw what was inside. I roamed my eyes around, it had a pastel color. The room was really huge. So cozy and clean.

“Your breakfast will be served at 9 a.m.”

I nodded at Katrina. She was still saying something but I got too occupied by roaming around the room. I opened the bathroom, and it was two times bigger than my room.

“Yes, Mr. Lannister.”

My attention diverted to Katrina when I heard that surname. She was talking to someone over the phone. She glanced at me making me look away.

“I’ll keep you updated, Mr. Lannister.”

That was the last thing I heard before the call ended. I sat on the bed, waiting for Katrina for her instructions. She was busy again on her phone.

“Your food is here, Cassandra,” she said, still busy with her phone. She glanced at me. “I’ll leave you here for a while. I’ll be back before lunch.”

“Thank you, Katrina,” I said gratefully. I smiled at her.

She bid goodbye and headed out of the room. I was now left alone here. I couldn’t help but think if I would meet Killian Lannister today. I was curious; I only saw him in pictures. He looked ruthless but I didn’t want to judge him based on those pictures that I saw.

I decided to open my phone. I was immediately welcomed by tons of messages and calls from my friends, and even my social media had many notifications. They must know that I am marrying Killian Lannister.

Everyone wanted to be in my shoes. Well... Killian is really a good catch. He is hot, handsome, and wealthy.

I searched his name on G****e. His pictures and articles about him instantly appeared. I read some articles about him. It was all positive, I hadn’t read negative about him. He must be a good man, ha? Despite his harsh features, I could tell that he was a good man.

Maybe there was still a chance for me to live happily and freely.

I already sent my resignation letter last night. I don’t know if it was a good move but it was the best for me. I didn’t want my workmate to talk or ask about my married life.

“Your food is here, Ma’am.”

I got back to my senses when I heard someone. It was the hotel staff. He was putting my food on the table. I stood up and went towards the dining table. It looks tasty! I am salivating already.

“Enjoy your breakfast, Ma’am,” he said with a smile.

I smiled at him and nodded. ”I will. Thank you!”

Katrina did come back before lunch. We were now sitting on the couch. I guessed we were about to talk about the preparations for the wedding. “Let’s start with the venue of your wedding.” She looked at me attentively. “Where do you want it to be held?” “Uhh... wait. Am I just the only one who will decide for everything?” I couldn’t help but ask. I was curious as to why I was the only one here. “What about Killian?” She stopped for a moment before she sighed. “Mr. Lannister said that the decision about this will be left to you.” I chose to shut my mouth and didn’t ask further. Right, it was his money to spend. All I had to do was decide. “I only want my wedding at the church.” She nodded at me and started writing on the paper that she was holding. We still talked about some things like the styles and designs. I kept my focus on the conversation. “About the guest list. Just give me a list of those people you want to invite to your wedding.” I don’t have that many f

“You may now kiss the bride.” My heart was about to explode seeing him tilting his head and leaning closer to me. He held my waist and pulled me closer to him, making my palms land on his chest. I didn’t have the time to process everything that had happened because my mind went blank the moment that Killian’s lips landed on mine. It was just a simple kiss. I couldn’t read his expression as if kissing me was nothing to him. I shook off the feeling of disappointment and just forced myself to smile at the people in front of us. The reception was nice and the food was delicious. Everything around the area was screaming luxury, and even the people invited were a bunch of wealthy people who I know were invited by Killian. My lips were already tired from smiling. We kept on talking with different people, and mostly, it was Killian who they had a long conversation with. Killian arm was wrapped around my waist while he was talking with someone. I couldn’t leave because I didn’t want

I realized that I was just wearing my nighties and didn’t even have a brassiere inside. I immediately turned around and was about to walk away when I heard his voice. “Cassandra.” I stood still in my place when I heard his cold voice. I bit my lower lip before I turned around. I saw him looking at me intently; he was sitting on the stool chair. “What are you here downstairs?” he asked with his usual voice. “Have some milk.” My voice almost came out as a whisper. I felt really uncomfortable and embarrassed right now because of what I was wearing. “Then come here.” I nodded my head and entered the kitchen. After stirring my milk, I sat on the stool chair that was just beside him. I could feel the weight of his stare at me as I drank my milk. “Ouch!” I couldn’t help but shout in pain. I didn’t notice that the milk was still hot. Am I that distracted? “Careful,” he said in his deep voice and shook his head as if I did something stupid. “I think I burn my tongue.”

I stepped down from the airplane. I can really feel that we are now out of the country, the air and atmosphere feel different. We are now in Paris. I was just looking outside the window of the car, admiring the view. The excitement and happiness I felt at this moment were immeasurable. I noticed that the car stopped. As I stepped outside the car, my jaw dropped, seeing how big the house was in front of me. “You own this?” I glanced at Killian who was just on my side. I still couldn’t believe it. “Yeah,” he responded shortly and started walking towards the house. I immediately followed him. Stepping inside, I was greeted by the warm, rich scent of aged wood and polished leather. I was welcomed by the beautiful interior of the house. There was a big chandelier in the high ceiling. I felt someone pulling my waist making me yelp. It’s Killian, he is on my back. “Watch your step,” he whispered in his deep firm voice. I was so distracted by admiring the interior that I didn’t n

“W-What are you doing?” I looked up at him to meet his intense eyes. He looked down on me and I saw how lust crossed his eyes. He shook his head and turned around. I just wait for him to finish preparing before we go to the mall. Killian looks like my bodyguard as we go shopping. He was carrying the paper bags and paying for all the things I bought. I lost count of how many shops we visited. It was really tiring when we got home. The paper bags were on the bed. I am now fixing those, taking them off the paper bag and putting them where they belong. “I have to go somewhere.” I heard Killian's voice at my back. I looked at him and nodded. He stared at me for a moment before he left the room. After fixing my things, I let myself fall on the mattress. I am so tired that I fall asleep easily. When I woke up, I saw in the window that it was dark outside already. I rose and went downstairs. The house was silent. There’s no one here aside from me. I couldn’t help but smile; this was pea

My body felt weak in Killian’s arm. He’s carrying to bed. My back fell on the mattress. I saw him unbuttoning his pants and taking it off. I gulped at how hot he was. I couldn’t take my eyes off him. The heat I felt earlier didn’t even die down, and now, it felt like I was on fire as I saw the thing between his thighs. It was so hard, long, big, and pulsing. I could feel my cheeks heating up as I stared at his hard-on. He smirked when he saw my expression. He kneeled in between my thighs, he didn’t break his eye contact on mine. “Killian... t-that’s...” I bit my lower lip as I couldn’t find the right word. It was really big and long! He claimed my lips before he whispered, “Are you scared, Cassandra?” His voice was mocking me. I sighed deeply and shook my head. I shouldn’t back down. I want this. My body needs him tonight. “I’m ready, Killian. Go on.” I met his intense eyes and said it confidently. He looked like he was out of control already. He looked at me so strict

It was lunchtime already here in Paris. I am hungry already, but I can’t go downstairs and cook. I really hate Killian for leaving me like this! I grabbed my phone and called the number that was saved on my phone contact. It only rang once and he answered it already. My forehead creased when I heard people talking in the background. “Talk.” I heard his deep voice over the phone. I didn’t know that his voice on the phone was so attractive. I shook my head and focused on what I was about to say. “I’m hungry.” I heard him humming. “Please continue, Mr. Black.” My brows furrowed at what he said. I heard someone talk again. I couldn’t understand some words but I heard investments and stocks. Oh, God... Killian is in a business meeting. How could I forget it!? “Just stay in bed. I’ll ask someone to bring you food.” I didn’t even have time to reply because he ended the call immediately. I gasped at what he had just done. How could he hang up on me? This man is rea

It was 2:30 in the afternoon when I felt someone lay beside me. I felt my breathing hitched when I felt his hands on my stomach. I closed my eyes and mouth firmly, I didn’t want to make a sound, but when I felt Killian’s lips on my nape, I couldn’t help but gasp. “Killian. Stop,” I said firmly but my body was reacting differently. He didn’t listen to me and even inserted his hand in my shirt and cupped my breast. I’m not wearing a brassiere, so he really touches it directly, making me jolt in pleasure. I forced myself to think straight. I removed his hand and rose from my bed. “What do you think you are doing, Cassandra?" His jaw clenched and his eyes were staring at me ruthlessly. I glared at him despite the nervousness I felt. “I should be the one asking you that!” “You are still mad because I don’t want you to work?” He raised his brow at me. “Yes!” I couldn’t help but raise my voice. “I can’t just stay here at the house doing nothing.” I regret now that I resig

I couldn’t shake the sense that something was off. Killian had been quieter than usual, his gaze distant even when we sat side by side. His words, when they came, felt like placeholders for thoughts he wouldn’t—or couldn’t—share. Every glance told me he was keeping something from me. I didn’t need to ask why there were men stationed outside our house, their figures half-hidden among the shadows of the trees. The last incident had rattled him. He was being careful, protective as always and I totally understand it.“Killian,” I murmured, my fingers brushing the cool surface of the window, “Can I go outside? Just for some air?”He looked up from his laptop, his eyes softening as they met mine. For a moment, his guard slipped, the edges of his face relaxing. “Alright,” he said, closing the laptop with a quiet snap.He stood from the couch, moving with the silent precision that had become his second nature. Killian always accompanied me now, shadowing my steps, his presence like an unspo

We were now lying on our bed, resting from that intense lovemaking. The warmth of Killian’s body pressed against mine was a welcome contrast to the cool breeze drifting off the ocean. His hand traced lazy circles on my back, his touch gentle and soothing in the aftermath of our passion.I closed my eyes, resting my head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. My mind felt hazy, lulled by the steady rise and fall of his breathing and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It was peaceful here, with him, in a way that I hadn’t felt in a long time. Like everything that had been chaotic in my life finally made sense when I was with Killian. But just as the calm began to settle deep within me, a familiar knot twisted in my stomach—a reminder of the memories I couldn’t reach, the pieces of my life that still felt so distant and broken. It was as if there were parts of me hidden behind a thick fog, moments I couldn’t quite touch, and that scared me m

Killian’s hands were rough as they slid down my bare skin, his touch igniting fires wherever he grazed. The cool sea breeze against my heated body did little to calm the flames that roared to life under his grasp. His lips never left mine, devouring me with a hunger that matched the wild beat of my heart. Before I could catch my breath, he broke the kiss, leaving me gasping as his eyes raked over my body, dark and possessive. There was an intensity in his gaze that sent a tremor through me, making me feel both vulnerable and powerful all at once. He didn’t speak, but the way his eyes burned into mine told me everything—he was going to take his time with me, here, in the open, where the only witness was the sky and the sea.I tried to catch my breath, but he gave me no time to recover. In a swift motion, he knelt before me, gripping the back of my thighs as he spread my legs. My back pressed against the cool stone behind me, but the chill was a welcome contrast to the heat radiating be

Killian stood at the stove, his back a perfect canvas of lean muscle shifting with every subtle movement. The sight alone made heat coil in my belly. After what we’d done in the bedroom, hunger for food should’ve been the only thing on my mind, yet here I was, craving him all over again.I slipped off the stool, my bare feet silent on the cool floor as I approached him. Without a word, I slid my arms around his waist, pressing myself against his warm, solid body. The scent of him, a mixture of the sea and something uniquely Killian flooded my senses. I woke to a heaviness weighing down every part of me like my limbs were anchored to the bed. My skin felt too tight and burning hot, and my muscles throbbed with a dull ache that wouldn't let up. A groan escaped my lips as I blinked against the harsh light spilling through the room, trying to adjust to the brightness that stabbed at my eyes. Through the haze, I saw him—Killian—moving across the room with quiet grace, his hair damp from the shower, a wet towel in hand. He hadn’t noticed I was awake yet. I tried to speak, but my throat was raw like sandpaper had scraped against it.“Killian…” The word rasped out of me, barely audible. Even my own voice sounded foreign. At the sound of his name, his head snapped in my direction, concern clouding his dark eyes. He was at my side in an instant, gently easing me back onto the pillows when I tried to sit up. “You need to rest, darling,” he murmured, his voice low and soothing, like a warm blanket wrapping around me.I nodded weakly, too ti

The warm, salty breeze caressed my skin as I stepped out of the small house, my bare feet sinking into the soft sand. Even though Killian had tried to explain his reasons for bringing me here, a nagging feeling lingered in the back of my mind. I couldn’t shake the sense of being trapped, of having no control over my own life.As I walked along the shoreline, letting the cool water kiss my ankles, I noticed a small boat anchored a little ways off the beach. The soft murmur of waves and the distant cry of seagulls pulled me from sleep. The light filtering through the white curtains was warm, bathing the room in a golden glow. For a moment, I lay there, disoriented, the remnants of sleep still clinging to me.I wasn’t in the hospital anymore.Sitting up slowly, I looked around the unfamiliar room. The bed was large, covered in crisp, white sheets, and the wooden beams of the ceiling were high above me. The air was fresh, salty, with a gentle breeze rolling in from the open window. The room itself was simple yet elegant—polished wooden floors, a small seating area, and a door that likely led to a bathroom.Where am I?I swung my legs over the side of the bed, feeling the cool floor beneath my bare feet. My heart pounded in my chest as I walked toward the open window, my pulse quickening with each step. • Bride of Ruthless Billionaire   CHAPTER 48: Forgotten Memories

The feeling started subtly—just a slight discomfort at first, like someone was watching me. It was easy to dismiss at first. Paris was a bustling city, after all. People were always around, rushing past on the busy streets, tourists snapping pictures, locals darting in and out of shops. But as the days wore on, the feeling intensified.Every time I left my apartment, I couldn’t shake the sensation of eyes on my back. A chill would creep down my spine, and I found myself glancing over my shoulder more than usual. There was never anyone there, of course—just the usual crowd, strangers passing by without a second glance. Yet, the unease lingered.I tried to tell myself it was just paranoia. After everything that had happened—leaving Killian, losing the baby, moving to Paris, starting a new life—it was only natural that I’d feel vulnerable. The memories of Seria’s cruel words still gnawed at me, and I was dealing with my own demons. But this was different. This wasn’t just in my head.Cla
