It had been eight days since I brought her here to the lake house. It was just one of the houses that I had invested in but never looked twice at. But when the doctors discharged her, I needed a place for her where I could be sure that she’d be safe. Taking her back to the penthouse where she had been so brutally attacked didn’t feel right, so I brought her here. She looked happy here, comfortable even, as she walked barefoot with Sia by her side on the wet grass by the lake.

“He is getting impatient.” Lachlan said as he came to stand beside me on the front steps of the house. He was the only person I trusted right now and he was the one I was getting all the updates from.

“Tell him to fuck off. He doesn’t get to order me anymore.” I replied.

They are still not out of danger. I believe Olezka and Kayne are still a threat & will try to manipulate the Pakhan to call Jonathan into question.
