"Why does he own such a big house, Di?" I questioned Mrs.Chetna whom I have started to call Di as she was older than me while sipping the luscious hot coffee prepared by her.
"He is planning to bring all his family here in London itself," she replied, taking a seat beside me in the garden of the house.
"That's very thoughtful of him. Otherwise, I have seen people who don't care about their family once they stand on their feet." That was a fact that I stated. Nikhil did have great thinking.
"Nikhil is different. He thinks of his family's needs before he thinks of himself."
Chetna Di had a proud smile as well as admiration in her eyes for Nikhil. He indeed was someone intriguing that I was thriving to know more about him.
I was enjoying the hot coffee thinking whether to ask Chetna Di if she had switched off the lights of my room last night when I heard her calling me, "Anvi."
"Hmmm."
"Last night Nikhil told me
Anvi******"Hi." My heart jumped out of my chest but when I saw the familiar face I took a breath of relief."What happened?" Nikhil asked and took a seat in front of me. His eyes were filled with concern"Nothing, you scared me," I replied by placing a hand on my heart to calm my accelerated heartbeat."Weren't you expecting me here?""Why would I?" I asked not getting what he meant."Damn! That hurts," he exclaimed, putting his hand on his heart. I was amused by his reaction.I knitted my brows looking at him when he said, "Now I am not even a barista in your eyes. Oh poor lord what have I done to you that my wife neither considers me a businessman nor a barista."That's when the reality sunk in. I was sitting in Keepers Cafe which was his. My eyes widened and I felt embarrassed."I am so sorry. I..I actually forgot that it's Keepers Cafe. I am really sorry." I stuttered."Hey...hey. It's totally fine. Y
Nikhil******I used to be a bully once, back in school. With time I realized how evil my actions were, how someone was hurting because of my act. I stopped when my conscience stopped supporting me. I stopped when my alter ego loathed me. I stopped when the girl I used to bully was nice to me despite my evil acts. That was the first time I felt ashamed and changed for good. I wasn't the same person anymore. I vowed never in my life I will ever hurt a soul. But all my vows, my promises were nothing when I realized I had again hurt someone deeply, such that she was not ready to even see my face.It was one in the night and I was in my car in front of Dia's house like I had been doing for the past four nights. After office, I had been staying outside her house in my car just to seek her forgiveness. But she had never once heed attention. She was hurt and her actions were justified. She was not to be blamed, I was.My trance broke when so
Anvi******"Anvi, this is last.""No, please Nikhil, I can't." I shook my head vigorously putting my left hand on my mouth."Don't be a kid and eat it now," he said sternly."Nikhil, I am already full. I will not be able to eat one more bite.""Anvi, this is last." Since my hand was hurt Nikhil was feeding me and in another way, I was at a disadvantage because Nikhil tricked me to finish the whole big bowl of vegetable stew. Undoubtedly it was delicious but my stomach got full eating the half bowl only yet he didn't stop feeding me."You have been saying it for the past ten minutes," I complained. With every scoop, he was lying that it was last but the truth was something else."Yet, you fell for it every time. Didn't you?""Please." I pouted. My stomach was about to burst. I was cursing myself in the head for my carelessness that led to my accident."Fine, then. I will tell your nickname to everyone at home."
Author******"Let me pay," said Anvi, snatching the packet of wafers she had picked from her husband."No, Anvi, I will pay." Nikhil retorted taking back the packets."Nikhil, I have bought this for myself I will pay." Anvi grabbed the packets glaring at Nikhil."So what? Anvi, you are my wife and it doesn't matter if I will pay for your stuff."Anvi got irritated hearing him and said sternly, "Nikhil, I will pay for my stuff and that's final."The couple because of their fight had gathered a lot of attention. Even the cashier couldn't dare to meddle."No, I will..." Nikhil was interrupted by Jai who was annoyed and pissed off watching two grownups fighting like kids over something which can never be considered an issue in his eyes."Shut Up!" Jai whisper yelled."Both of you move aside," Even Niharika's voice was strict.Anvi and Nikhil moved aside as neither of them wanted to make their friends anymore f
Anvi******I was fuming in anger sitting in my cabin. Anger took a good toll on me and as a result, my eyes welled up. Small things matter to me the most but Nikhil ruined one of my best things.I never expected such an act from him.Even though he has always been kind to me, his act was ferocious."Ma'am, I haven't received the new manuscript on mail yet.?" I heard the intern Leena who was about to assist me as my right hand was injured."I sent it to hell." I lashed out.She was taken aback for a moment and then questioned with concern"Are you fine?""Excuse Me." Without replying to her and excusing myself I went to the washroom to wash my tear-stained face.I had been collecting KitKat chocolate wrappers since I was five. It was Sara and my favourite chocolate. We had made a deal in childhood that we would collect the wrappers and would give them to each other on my twenty-sixth birthday. Even though we had stopped t
Nikhil******My fingers ferociously worked on my laptop keyboard as I was reverting to my work emails."Nikhil, stop it." I heard my wife who was reading a thriller novel sitting on the same cozy bed kept on my favourite spot but she was sitting in the opposite direction."What should I stop, angry bird?" I asked while my eyes lingered on the laptop."The sound of the keyboard is irritating me. I am not able to concentrate," she whined. I didn't want her to be disturbed but replying to those emails was important as hell to me."Anvi, just five more mails, please.""Aghhh, No, not even one." I looked over at her from my laptop and said, "Please, don't be mad at me. Give me a few more minutes.""I am leaving," she was about to leave, leaving me alone which was the last thing I wanted."No, you can't," I put my legs on her abstaining her from moving."You are unbelievable," she said, closing her book loudly.
Author******Nikhil seemed disturbed. Ever since he had left his house his mind couldn't erase the feeble state of his wife he was falling in love with. His heart ached. Only he knew how arduous it was for him to let her go even when he didn't want to. He wanted to pull her in the blanket and cuddle her till she gets comfortable and again starts smiling. But he couldn't. She wasn't ready.Nikhil was present in the office but his heart and mind weren't. Generally, a person's heart and mind are not in sync but the case was different for him as they both were yelling he had fallen for her.He liked her, he had realized when he pondered what his friend Jai had said. But his feelings for Anvi were growing strong. He still couldn't decipher what it was.He liked Dia but with her, he never felt something he had started to feel for Anvi.'What's happening to me?' Author******"I made a mistake," Anvi said over the call to Niharika."What happened?"Niharika asked, being concerned and worried for her friend. Anvi couldn't utter any more words and was only crying. Niharika was unable to hear her clearly and tried to calm her friend first."First of all, stop crying, ok."Anvi anyhow composed herself and asked her friend."Can I see you?""Right now?" It was seven in the evening and Niharika couldn't understand what exactly had made Anvi see her suddenly."Ye...yes.""Okay, stop crying. I will ask Nikhil to send you over." Niharika suggested."No, no...not him." Anvi resisted, making Niharika skeptical over Nikhil being involved in whatever had happened."Ok, I will book a cab and send you the details." Anvi agreed. She wanted to be with someone close for a while. There were only three people Anvi could be with, either Sara, Vritti, or Niharika. She didn't want to bother Vritt
Hello Lovely Readers,First of all, thank you so much for giving the book Bride In Blue a try. It really means a lot to me.The book Bride In Blue has ended but not the story of Anvi and Nikhil. There is still a lot of things left. This was a tale of a forced marriage that wasn't destined to end well.Even though they eventually ended up falling for each other but what if Anvi would have been like Ahana or what if Nikhil would have been a person like Ankit. The marriage would have been a total disaster. The reasons for the broken marriage would be revealed in the next part. The second part of this book is named, Yearning Hearts and is ongoing, currently. If you haven't read my other stories then please do give them a try as well. I would be really grateful.Thank You,Shrishtee
Nikhil******I changed from a navy blue shirt to a light blue as suddenly I remembered Anvi loved that colour on me the most. After the shirt then came the tie. It was an arduous task. The responsibility of that duty was Anvi's. Without her, I wasn't able to choose the right one. After contemplating on which one I should go with I decided on the black one. Then came the turn of watches. She had a thing for my watches. She loved my collection. I knew any would do but still, I wanted to be the best for her so I chose the best one, the black Rado watch Nirvana had gifted me on my last birthday. After I put on my blazer and my shoes I was ready, ready to go to my wife, to bring her back to me.After I descended the stairs I looked at the strained faces of my family and friends. I was stressed but not as much as them. I was mindful that Anvi and I together will turn things in our favour."You, ok?" Namit asked, smiling. He knew how not to make m
Author******We have twenty minutes left, people.' the announcement was made.Anvi looked at the entrance and then at her phone feeling restless. Nikhil hadn't replied to her text."Don't worry, he would come before the race even starts," Dhriti assured her."Exactly. Jai is with him. They both would be here any moment now." said Niharika. They had all gathered to watch a car race. Arranging tickets wasn't any difficult as Kiaan had arranged for everyone. Nikhil and Jai had to go to buy easy little panda cupcakes for everyone as the previous ones Dhruv had bought was wasted because of Arjun and Anvi's fight.Dhruv had bought various types of cupcakes. There was one with a panda face which was wanted by both Anvi and Arjun. They fought over it and when the box of cupcakes fell on the floor the two started crying like kids.'I want that panda cupcake.' Arjun had demanded crying.'So do I.' had replied Anvi. Everyone calme
Author******"No, I....I am your daughter. I am Rita and Rohit Shekhar's daughter." Anvi stuttered, not believing any of the words of her mother. She turned to her right as she didn't want to face the truth that the mirror was showing her.Rita shook her head with her eyes filled with tears. She made Anvi turn towards the mirror once again to make her see the reality. "Look at yourself. Your eyes are like Suhana. Your nose, your smile, your dimples, and even your hair colour. You are her replica. Didn't you find it bizarre that she used to cry whenever you used to get hurt?" Anvi recalled how Suhana would go crazy whenever she used to find Anvi in pain but at the same time she also had witnessed Rita in pain for her."She is your mother and a mother can never see her children in pain.""You used to cry as well for me," Anvi replied sternly."Anvi, beta, you need to believe me." Rita cupped her cheeks but Anvi swatted her hands saying "No, n
Author******"Are you okay?" Nikhil questioned Anvi over the call."It's the tenth time you called me in the last hour," Anvi replied, rolling her eyes."Because I am worried." Nikhil's perturbed voice didn't settle well with Anvi. She sighed before assuring her husband," I am fine, Nick. Your wife is quite strong. Don't underestimate her."It had been seven days since Anvi was rescued. When she was abducted Nikhil had lied to her colleagues that Anvi had an accident. He had managed things for her in his wife's absence. Nikhil used to make sure she wasn't alone. Though he wasn't able to arrange any security team for her because of the money crunch he was facing, he used to drop and pick her up daily. He would call her numerous times, keep a check on her, and would text her every hour."I am not underestimating you, sweetheart. But I am petrified of what could happen to you if...."Anvi cut Nikhil off in mid as she said, "Nothing would happen
**Warning:- Mature Content Ahead[From The Movie Sequence]********Nikhil******Everyone was pampering Anvi, cheering her up. Namit and Dhriti had cooked her favourite dinner while Niharika and Jai were narrating our childhood tales to her."Really? He did that?" Anvi asked Jai, pointing towards me. I was oblivious to what exactly they were talking about. I stood at a distance and was only staring at my wife lovingly."You won't believe what he did afterward," Namit said."Tell me, please." she was so enthusiastic. I was relieved but my heart wasn't serene. My love for Anvi had gotten deep that I had started to develop fear inside of me; fear of losing her. The days she wasn't with me were the worst days of my life. It felt as if someone had given me slow poison.I would have died if I wouldn't have been able to find her. Seeing her after so many days I realized I was madly, deeply in love with her.Never had I t
Author******"Nikhil, why don't you sleep for a while. You haven't slept a wink." Dhriti suggested while Nikhil was going through the CCTV footage of the area where Anvi was kidnapped. It was on the same day when she was abducted about three days ago."I am fine," Nikhil said. His sleep was gone. He was wide awake at three in the night skimming through the CCTV footage he had acquired through his friend Namit's help."No, you are not. You haven't even eaten anything." Dhriti placed the plate of freshly chopped fruits in front of him."Let the boys do the rest of the work." Dhriti gestured towards Namit, Arjun, and Jai who were busy talking to the influential people to find Anvi. The truth of her kidnapping was still kept hidden. Namit had very well handled the media who had gotten the hint while Jai and Arjun were just one step behind from finding the culprit."How could I? It's been three days and I have no fucking idea how my wife is. I d

Nikhil shook his head, not believing his friend's words, and stuttered, "But I...I had se..seen her Jai.""You need to calm down, first, ok." Nikhil breathed heavily and was reluctant to listen to Jai."Nikhil, please. We won't be able to proceed if you do not cooperate." Jai offered him a glass of water. Nikhil understood the consequences of his irrational act and took the glass of water from his friend's hand. After he gulped it in one go, he sat on the office chair of his cabin."Now would you tell me what had happened?" Jai asked. He had been with Nikhil for the past half an hour but nothing

Anvi shivered and pressed her body more to Nikhil's who was supporting his back on the worktable of his office cabin. They pulled back after they were out of breath. Nikhil conjoined their foreheads and Anvi confessed, "I missed you too."Anvi rested her head on her husband's chest who took out his hand out of her shirt and held her tightly."Tell me how your brother fell into her trap?"
