/Brian’s POV/“What do I do” I ponder as I look into the rear motor and realize that the situation is still the same as the same thing I saw few minutes ago. “Yeaaa, let’s call Elliot” I decide as o quickly dial Elliot’s number. “You obsessed individual….” He challenges Me and I stop to give him the “stop playing” look. “What’s up with the scrunched face when I was only staying the obvious?” He inquires folding his arms in front of his chest. “ I know that you think so highly of yourself, but this is not the time and place for that because right now I think someone is tailing me” I go straight to the point. “What do you mean by someone is tailing you?”“Did you by any chance step on either an hit man, a mafia boss or a drug lords toe” Elliot starts to seriously list. “Like seriously?” I ask raising an eyebrow at him. “ I asked a simple question, so stop looking at me that way, it is making me very uncomfortable”“It baffles me as to how you are the first person that comes to m
/Meelah’s POV/“Since we are going to be waiting for Dianne to ask her boyfriend to stall your husband for the meantime so that we can finish up with everything that we have to do, can we go and wash your hair now?” Aurora inquires. “Yeaa right, I completely forgot about that” I answer. the video call has ended for almost ten minutes now, but since it ended I just remained in my position, waiting patiently for Dee to feed me back. “Hmmmmm Hmmmm” Aurora expresses suspicion, as she starts to make it obvious that she doesn’t trust my words “What is that supposed to mean!!” I ask her with my hands akimbo“What does it sound like?” She inquires grabbing the hair care products from the vanity that I just scattered all my stuffs without properly arranging them. “It sounds like you are very suspicious of me”I Point out and she sends me a sinister smile before reverting the look on her face to a neutral one. “Wow!!……suspicious?”she feigns ignorance “Aurora!!………stop” I groan. “Fine,
/Brian’s POV/“Only God knows what Elliot has been discussing with his girlfriend for over ten minutes now” I groan, tired of waiting because since Elliot dropped the call to talk to Dianne, he hasn’t called back because he didn’t tell me where he is so that I could make my way to him so I am still stuck here. “Should I just consider his option and just go into the police station to inquire about the procedures for personal police escorts so that they don’t start to suspect me after I drove into the precinct with a car that is tinted to the teeth”“I am trending on the internet so it is very likely that one of them will recognize me then tell the ASP and the Asp will call my dad and the whole thing will end up being blown out of proportion” I ponder only for somebody to knock the door of my class “Moment of truth” I mutter as I roll the gas down to see who it is. “Elliot….it’s you” I mutter in surprise as my eyes makes contact with his his dark chocolate comb over hairstyle, his da
/Brian’s POV/. “What a stressful day” I sigh as I drop Elliot off Infront of his apartment. The roller coaster of stress that I have been through this afternoon is something that could have totally been totally avoided if Elliot didn’t insist on stubbornly dropping his car at the precinct, just to suck up to his girlfriend whose mind won’t be at rest if Meelah’s safety is not guaranteed from the angry mob. The thing is that I have no issues with Elliot trying so hard to please his girlfriend and the reason is because he waited this long to date her. Elliot’s dating history is quite complicated, and that is because he was In love with Dianne when we were still in college……if I am not mistaken, it should be when we were In-N-Out final year, but he was really scared when hr finally embraced his feelings for Dianne that he wasn’t capable of keeping a healthy relationship, after his relationship with Ari ended terribly. Right now, Elliot is not only trying to prove to himself and his
/Brian’s POV/After angrily bouncing the call on Elliot, the traffic reduced and I was able to navigate my way out of the highway to the street I was supposed to encounter before the gate of Kings estate, so I barely had time to ponder over what Elliot said. Even if I had the time, dwelling in a story as absurd as that is not something that I will consider because it is extremely disrespectful over everything that I have felt towards Ember over the past few years, and I can’t stomachache that amount of disrespect just because I am eager to please people. “Home sweet home” I mutter as I finally drive into the parking lot if the new house that my father was generous enough to gift me as my wedding gift. As soon as I fix that car in a spot that I am sure that it will be convenient enough for me to move the car when it is time for me to go to work the next dat, I pick up my brief case from the back seat and I practically spring towards the giant doors leading up the main house before
/Meelah’s POV/After Dianne and Ari left the room to go about their baby girl duties of ordering everything that I was going to need for the bedroom make over, Aurora washed my hair and blow dried it. Half way into Aurora massaging my scalp with oil, Ari and Dianne came to join us and the four of us did a lot of catching up on the things that happened since the bride switch, while Aurora styled my hair. Catching up with my girls made me feel like I have been sidelined from the things going on in my friends life for a very long time? It just that in this case I am the one that did the sidelining. The catching up was really important because Aurora is only a fashionista, not an hairstylist so she had to browse styles on YouTube, and there was a whole lot of trial and error that made me almost give up on her impromptu styling experience, but our gossips kept me going and at the end of the day she was able to get the styling right. When Aurora finally got the styling, she was so proud
/Meelah’s POV/“There you are” Aurora remarks as she walks towards me from the direction of three dinning, wikis I keep my eye focused on my phone because I am not ready to start another Brian chapter after practically escaping from one. “So you unsubscribed from what we were saying by running here to pretend to be busy on your phone” Aurora says sitting beside me, peeping into my phone “This is what happens when somebody can read you like a open book” I mutter “Not just somebody but people” Dee adds from the dining, making me roll my eyes “We get it that you don’t want us to interfere in what is going on…….point taken, boss….you win” Aurora says throwing her hands up on the air. “So what are we up to?” Ari asks, joining us. “We can’t just finish eating and just go bank to work so that it won’t look like we only came over to ear the newly weds food” Ari buttresses crossing her leg on the leather chair. “We can’t go back to work….. todays work is over already” Aurora cuts in “I
/Meelah’s POV/ After thinking about where I was supposed to start my work from the previous night, I decided to sleep first and deal with my problems later because I could seriously feel that I was running low on sleep and I Didn’t want to resume my first day at work after I got married looking so cranky. Crashing in the same room with Brian wasn’t an option I wanted to consider because there was still some sort of tension between us and I didn’t want to be surrounded by any thick cloud of awkwardness that will make it difficult for me to sleep and I wasn’t even ready to risk it, so I crashed in the guest room. It was difficult to fall asleep easily because my mind kept on drifting back to Brian and his ground rules that didn’t stop baffling me because I didn’t take Brian Kings as a principled person enough for all the rules that he set. When I couldn’t stop thinking about how I am going to survive with Brian under the sand room, I picked up the marriage contract to distract my th
