Drew sat on the roof of the hospital building for some fresh air. His last patient for the day had delivered earlier than he had anticipated. He now had some free time to just sort out his thoughts.
Ella was moving in with him the following day. He was excited about eaking up next to her everyday. He hoped she would not get annoyed when the hospital calls in their free time.
He needed to go check on his sister. He was worried about her. Noah's was a big deal to her. It had started slow but it was one of the biggest and nicest restraunts in the city. She had been planning to expand it to other cities too.
He still remembered the day she had taken him and Ella to the place. It was a small building but she had expanded it with the help of an interior designer.
"Ta da! This my people is the place."
"You expanded it? It looks really great now!" He had told her.
"Really grea
Robyn stared blankly at the screen on the phone in her hands. There was almost a tenth message in a span on three days since she had renewed her phone. This one was harsher and longer than the previous ones. She had ignored the first two then tried to trace the number. Tony told her it was an unregistered number. Then another number texted her, each day there was a new number. They were all mean messages and who ever was sending them was trying to make her lose her self confidence.*Why are you being a burden to others? No one loves you. They feel sorry for you.*The current message had said. She was itching to tell whoever was at the other end that they were a coward and stupid. She knew it was better to just ignore whoever it was and maybe they would give up. She had been living at her grandparents' old home with both her brothers and Rudy the housekeeper. Ella was now living at the Hachi reside
The face staring back at him in the mirror taunted him. He was indeed stupid. How could he not have seen the signs sooner? He was indeed pathetic. The image of a disappointed Robyn crossed his mind and he visibly cringed. The last thing he wanted was to do that to hurt her.It had all started the day they arrived when his assistant had insisted on getting the room opposite his at the hotel. He paid no attention to that. He thought she just felt safe. Then almost near mid night she had knocked on his door claiming she had lost her phone and he had to help her. She was trying to touch him every chance he got and he still ignored it.He did not know how she had gotten into his room. He woke up to someone kissing him and he had kissed back! As if on clock mode, something didn't feel right about the kiss and so he had opened his eyes."Mary?! What the hell are you doing?" He had shouted."Don't fight it. Just let m
Robyn knew she had to do it. She had to leave Beau for a while till they figured out who was behind all those messages. She would be strong if it meant keeping Beau safe even if leaving him was the most painful thing she had to do. She needed to make it as real as possible. The videos and bill sent to her email by Mary hurt her but not as much as leaving Beau and also knowing a part if him did not trust her.She then wondered if Mary was the person who sent all those hateful messages. She switched off her phone and left the laptop. She needed to go somewhere where she could rest and figure out her next move. Whoever was sending those messages knew a lot about her and Beau. But Mary was not conniving enough to threaten her behind a screen. It had to be someone else."We're here" Drew said snapping her out of her thoughts. She looked up to admire the view and almost cried when she saw the w
Beau was ecstatic. He felt all the frustrations of the past three days leave him. Robyn still loved him and all was right with the world again. Their relationship was not doomed after all and he planned to keep it that way."I assume by the foolish grin on your face it went well." Colin said as soon as he climbed back into the car."Hell yes brother. She still loves me.""Did you talk about it? Did you tell her you went to see Kiara?""Yes and I think Drew already told her.""Did you sort it out then?""Yes Col, we did.""Good. Don't screw up again""Cross my heart.""Let's go. I have to get some sleep and be at work by ten." Colin said and they left.He propped himself into bed with a smile in his face as soon as they got to Colin's house. The next
Robyn walked into the interrogation room with Detective Brown in tow. The room was dimly lit, with grey painted walls which was wearing off. The metallic chairs looked like they could use a rest.Craig brightened up when he saw her and sat up straight. He was grinning like a Cheshire cat. Robyn wanted to ask why he was excited that she was there but thought better of it.She sat down slowly and very calmly. Craig's head was cleanly shaven which in a way made his face look smaller."Hello Robyn. You look good." He said smiling."Craig Kirk. You look....older." Robyn said calmly.Craig withdrew a little as if surprised that she said that. "You remember me?" He whispered."Of course. You poured mop water in me in our freshman year."Craig gasped as the detective gave her a raised brow."That was not intentional you know.""I know
Colin stood outside Tara's apartment muffins and coffee in hand. He knocked on the door and she opened it smiling. She hugged him a long time."I take it you missed me too.""It's for the muffins...." Tara said laughing. "I really did miss you.""Let's have breakfast then we can talk about the other things.""I don't wanna talk.....""What do you want to do then?""Eat and then do this..." She said kissing him again. "And some more of this.." She kissed him again."That sounds like a plan.""Good thing it's my day off."They had breakfast and watched a movie. It was a good way to distract him from his father's threats. They had told him if he wanted he could sell his shares and not the whole company."I have the most shares so I can do so." James had said."No, Colin has the
The chlorine like taste in her mouth made her double over and throw up. She opened her eyes and she was in a dark room. Her hands and feet were bound and her pyjamas were dirty like she had been dragged on the ground."I know it's you Kiara, show your face you coward!" She shouted."Oh good. The little whiny bird is awake. How was nap time?" Kiara said mocking her."I wouldn't know, seems like you drugged me.""That I did.....""What's this about? Money?"Kiara laughed like she had just been told the best joke in the universe. "Oh goodness no. Hey B, she thinks it's about money!"Someone laughed and slowly walked towards her turning on the light. "You people are really snobby aren't you." He said.Robyn would know that voice and stupid face anywhere. Brett."Arg. It's you, blurr face.""Oh I forgot
Drew left the hospital at four in the morning. His night shift had ended and if he was being honest, he did not enjoy it that much. He was worried about Robyn. She was not talking or dealing with the whole incident properly. She had done that before, she had withdrawn from everything and almost everyone. She was probably worried about what Kat's family would do or say about it all. He needed to help her deal with all that otherwise she would be depressed again. He got to his parent's house and parked the car. He went into the kitchen and saw Robyn on the bench in the garden. She was staring off into space like she had done when she had lost the pregnancy. He grabbed a mug and filled it with warm milk and went to her."The garden is so fascinating." He said handing her the mug. She turned smiling at him and taking the mug."Thank you. When did you get here?"
The gang arrived at the lake house in the afternoon. It was sunny and a little windy but looked beautiful all the same."I'm so tired and hungry." Ella said as soon as they got into the house."Me too. Do we have cracker?" Tara asked."Hormones driving you crazy already?" Kat joked."Don't act innocent Kat, I saw you throwing up this morning.""Shhhh!" Kat shushed Ella. The guys were stuck dragging medium suitcases."What did you all put in these things, we will only be here for three days!" August shouted."Stop whining and carry it man!" Drew said."Everyone knows their rooms right?""Yeah sure! In this big place I already forgot." Layla said."Don't be so dramatic."After everyone had settled in and rested the went to the foyer to watch the sunset. The orange gl
Drew had woken up really early the day after Robyn's wedding. It had taken place at their grandfather's house and him, Ella, August, Kat, Layla and Lionel had stayed back because Ella had slept off. He decided to pick up the trash and was later joined by August and Lionel. The tables had already been moved luckily and it was not so bad."So what's the story between our sister and our cousin?" August suddenly said."RT and Tristan?""Obviously, which other sister dobwe have?""If you're going to be a wise ass I wont tell you." Drew threatened."Just tell us, it was clear some something had gone down between them.""Why do you say that?""Tristan had this look when he looked at her, like she was something he badly wanted but knows couldn't have." Lionel said."Yeah. Fool's gold." August
The many people going in and out of the room made Robyn dizzy. She was already nervous and the people just made it worse. She started thinking of how things would go. She prayed hard that it would all end well. But what of someone decides to hurt her or Beau? Or even any of the family and friends. They had invited close friends and families only but still, what if?She glanced to her right at Tara whose make up was being done. She looked excited and Robyn wondered if it was only from the wedding or something else. Her hands had started sweating."Ells, can you please call Ma." She whispered to her best friend."Sure thing." Ella said standing up. "Hey are you finished? Good, all of you out! Leave the brides alone.""Thanks Layla. Oh can you call my mother too please." Tara said. After a few minutes, Viv and Beatrice walked in with Leah and Mrs Hughes. They rushed in.
The new tables and chairs had been arranged beautifully. The place looked so extravagant with the new curtains and lighting all over it. Even the romantic VIP tables were separated from the rest. They were private and intimate. Additional staff had been hired to cater for a lot of people as the place had been made bigger with new classic uniforms. The kitchen was packed with new equipment and extra fire extinguishing measures.Chef Jacob and Lefa were so excited that they looked like children about to go on a joy ride or going to the ice cream parlor. Lefa was wearing a suit today which was uncanny. He did not like dressing up at all but for this day he looked like a movie star.Robyn saw Michael bring in a carton of olive oil bottles into the kitchen. He looked at her ashamed. She was sure he regretted what he did the time in the hospital and ransom thing. She had asked the police not to charge him and that his father not be told anything abo
Colin shifted in the front passenger seat where he sat in Beau's car. He was glad that Beau was driving because he was as nervous as a child on their firs day of school. He stretched his hand and grabbed the bottled water at the cupholder. He drank a little and then tapped his hand in quick movements at the the dashboard."Col, stop worrying, it will be fine." Beau said."Easy for you to say.""You're right, I don't know a thing but no matter what they test says, you're still my brother." Beau said sincerely."Thanks brother. When did Robyn and Mom say they will get there?""Maybe father than us. The traffic from Mom's place is better than our side.""Yeah you're right. I hope that douche does not start with RT or mom.""You're keen on calling her that huh?""What? It's cool. I can't call her baby, you already do that. Or Robbie, Roh, an
Beau watched the rain fall and form puddles on the ground. The grass was almost being drowned by the water. He turned around and watched Robyn sleeping. She always loved the rain, it brought her peace. To him many times too,but not tonight.Colin had told him that James was the one who was visiting Kiara and feeding her and Brett all the information. He had shown him the video of their visit. He did not know how to tell Robyn about that. For Colin it had fed the fire of dislike for his father. He had talked Colin down from confronting James. Colin was going through a lot at the moment. There was a loud thunder clap that startled him. He heard Robyn wimper and went to the bed.He cuddled her while running his circles in her hair. "Shhhh. It's okay. I'm here." He cooed at her. Then another thunderclap sounded, louder than the first and Robyn sat up opening her eyes.
The garden at the Grand Hachi's had been transformed into a fairlytale themed magical place. The pink and white lilies and roses in vases laid all over the tables. The orange and cream lanterns hung in the poles all over the garden giving off a wonderful glow.Robyn was getting lemon water for Ella and an apple for Kat. She had been trying to calm them down the whole day. Each of them had something to get all worked up about. If it was not the hair, it was the something else."Hey Roh, Aunt Viv is looking for you." Layla told her as she came towards her."Oh no. Please tell her I'm caught up.""She says it won't take long.""Fine. Here, take the warm lemon water to Ella and the apple to Kat.""You got it.""Oh and remind the makeup artist not to use anything with olive oil on Ella, she is terribly allergic.""Go. I go
Colin studied James' face as he read through the sales and rights agreement. He smiled more as he read on. He glanced at Tristan who was looking at them with amusement."Well. All seems in order here." James said signing it off. "Congratulations Mr Tristan. Good luck working with him son. I hear he is ruthless. You will be begging to sell it soon." He whispered the last part and watched Tristan and his lawyer leave. Colin was left with his father and his lawyer."Can't you even wish well for your son? I am your flesh and blood.""You are my son. But you don't really expect me to be on your side when you made it very clear you were against me.""You wanted me to stand by and let you hurt my brother?" Colin asked him."That bastard is not your brother!!!!" James yelled. "He is nothing just like his stupid father. That lame excuse of a......"Colin did not let him catch his
Ella had her head on Drew's chest while the latter rubbed slow circles in her hair. It was comforting but unlike this time she was not relaxed at all. Her mind soul was restless and she did not know who to talk to.Normally she would go to Robyn but she did not want her to worry more."Are you going to tell me what's bothering you?" Drew asked her."I'm fine love.""Mmmhh...." He lifted her chin up gently and kissed her. "Sweetheart you're not. Talk to me,please. You know I'm right here with you no matter what.""Promise?" She asked pleadingly."Cross my heart." He said giving her a peck on the forehead. She sighed heavily. "It's my fault Robyn got kidnapped again and almost died."Drew made a confused face. "Why do you think that?""If I had not dated Brett or listened to her sooner none if
