"I didn't know you even wear a pendant. And a pendant like this." The pendent had green colour, a sparkling stone which just resembled my eyes with a silver chain.

"I didn't know myself." I and  Edward looked at each other, our eyes asking the same question of what to do to each other.

Without an answer, I was forced to keep the pendant in my pocket and maybe I'd give it to the police when I get a chance.

My mother would have just admitted me into the hospital for more days if Auntie Bella didn't stop her. I was glad she was there to help. After losing dad, mom didn't want to lose me too. So she always took extra care of everything. From the way I walk to the things I used, there were restrictions on all. I knew all of it was just to help me and protect me. But this all gets annoying.

I got off bed meanwhile the doctor gave some prescriptions to my mother. We both came out and mom held my arm to support me. I let her do what she wanted to. As we exited the hospital and reached the gate we heard a high pitch angry voice. It was auntie Bella.

"You must protect Moon no matter what. That's your duty-" Auntie stopped her words as she saw us coming towards. In all this conversation only I found this line weird like always.

Auntie Bella has always told Edward to protect me as if I am some five-year-old girl who can't even walk properly. My mother actually agreed with this. It's not like I am some princess of a lost kingdom who needs protection. On asking, Auntie would just brush it off saying this is something a bestfriend should do.

I know one thing. That I won't understand any of this even if they explain it hundred times.

They both gave us a bright smile. All the tension between Edward and his mom disappeared within a second like nothing happened. They drove us to our house. Edward and I were not only best friends but also neighbours. How typical.

Mom didn't even need to invite them inside. As soon as we all settled on the sofa, my mom declare that I shouldn't move out anymore.

My whole mood was ruined. I was looking forward to living alone and suddenly because of some scratches my dreams were scattered.

It made me angry, irritated and sad.

And all of this emotion came through my mouth in words. "That's what you wanted from the start. You just needed one excuse to stop me from moving. You always do what you want. I am moving out tomorrow and that's it."

"Moon!" Mom yelled, her commanding voice made me realise I talking in a very rude manner. It hurt me. But she stopped me again for something and that hurt me more.

I didn't want to burst out on her and say something which I would regret later. I walked toward my room ignoring all my mom yelling. Before I closed the door, Auntie Bella placed her hand on mom's shoulder which somehow made mom calm down.

But not me. Locking the door, I sat at the door, with my back touching the door.

Sorry, mom. I wished I could just say that to her not just in my thoughts.

......

I heard soft whispers of my name which was enough to wake me up from my beauty sleep. I realised I was still sitting by the door.

How long was I sleeping? Before I can look for how much time it was.

"Moon." Someone spoke. Someone who was right beside me. The last time I closed my door I remembered I was alone. I walked in alone. I cried alone and I slept alone, right? Then who's voice was it?

Giving my head a 90-degree turn I didn't see a ghost when I was fully confident that I would see one. Still I almost jumped away from this familiar person.

"What the heck Edward? How the hell did you come inside?" I asked in shock. My first concern was if I was drooling in my sleep and did he watch it all. And the second was how he came here.

"Oh from the window of course," Edward answered as if it was just alright to break into someone's room. He seemed so proud of himself.

"What the heck are you doing here? Why would you break in-"

"Enough. We knocked. You didn't open so well here I am. Come out they are waiting for you." As soon as he finished his sentence he got up to leave my room.

I wanted to beat him up for invading my room. But he suddenly stopped and turned towards me. Very dangerously close to my face.

"Whom were you dreaming about? You were drooling all the time."

My fear came true.

It seriously got me irritated and embarrassed to think he saw me like that.

"That's none of your business. At least it wasn't you." Yeah of course it wouldn't had been him. It could be food too. Tho, I couldn't remember any of it.

Edward smirks, "I am sure it was me only."

"Get lost!!!" Just as Edward turned to leave the room taking the chance I placed my super powerful kick right on his butt. He fell flat outside of my room.

I immediately closed the door to avoid the life-threatening danger who was shouting from outside.

...........

It was all black.

The howling of the wind brought my eyes to open. Where was I? Focusing in the dark of night, confusion washed over me as I came to realize I was in my new house.

I stared in horror – that wall was stained with gruesome blood stains. The smell became all too obvious and I felt the need to vomit… that motion was put away and forgotten in an instant when I realised someone else was also breathing near me.

Breathing heavily. And growling.

Everything black. Even the figure waiting patiently in the darkness was black. Glowing eyes from the darkness gave me another shiver.

I needed to run. I needed to-

Sobbing sounds echoed the whole place. And someone said I don't wanna hurt you. The glowing eyes moved forward towards me in a flash.
