The instant that the main road came to an abrupt end and Alex and I were left with no other choice but to go into the unknown, I knew right then that it was not a good idea.
I did a double check on the navigation app to see if we were going to the right location and I could only purse my lips at the end when I saw the indicator logo pointing us to head straight forward. As we entered the small village and we drew closer to our destination, the feeling of dread inside me also intensify. But I attributed it mostly to the ambiance surrounding the village itself. A ghost town was the closest thing I could say to describe it.
"This better not be a prank."
