Katrina’s POV

The person who came in turned out to be Dean, dispelling the bit of apprehension we had of it being a customer to catch us at our 0dd behavior all in the name of celebration.

It was revealed by Arianna that she had invited him to my opening day. He brought with him cookies and ice cream. The smile on my face couldn't be hidden as well as the surprise I was feeling by his action.

He joined us in our eating and drinking spree. In no distant time everyone loosened up including Maddy and I. We were sharing stories and I told them more of my past.

They sympathized and at some point, some drops of tears stained my cheeks and I briefly forgot we had an external party. When it clicked I felt a bit embarrassed but Dean acted non-chalant and brushed it off which is what I was grateful for.

Morning came to afternoon and we were done with half the bottles of the whiskey and white wine. I had instructed Dean to put the ice cream in the fridge for later.

It was a fun time and no cust

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 91: Apprehension

Katrina’s POVIt was a new day and just as Davos had told me the previous night, he had sent word to the elders for the announcement he was going to make and the argument which was sure to follow it.To say I wasn't apprehensive or nervous would be a lie, hence the butterflies in a tummy were messing with me to the point I felt like they were about to fly out of my throat. My heartbeat too wasn't stable and it messed with me from the moment he kissed my cheek and left me in the room, his smile assuring and confident.I had just gotten out of the bathroom and was getting dressed for the day. Training had just finished and I got back to the room to freshen up. I had eaten though before my bath and so I was getting ready for the day.Next on my schedule was to attend my history classes. I had reduced the day for the classes because of my new task with the florist shop. Maddy was going there soon to open up and sit ready to attend to customers before I came.Brushing my hand through my h

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 93: Blended Into The Crowd

Katrina’s POVValencia had literally dragged me out of that space and of course, she was indeed furious while I for one felt nothing else but embarrassment. She didn't hesitate to scold me for my stupidity of course and I could only remain silent as she did that. It was the truth and to make matters worse, I couldn't catch a bit of the conversation which was going on before I was caught.Mathew didn't help matters as he snickered at the situation playing out and how I was being dragged like a rag doll, not doing anything to help, rather his laughter heightened my embarrassment. As expected, she didn't keep the story to herself and had to get Arianna involved. Well Arianna was the one who got herself involved by being curious as to why Valencia was pulling me behind her the moment she came into the castle. It ended up with Arianna adding her input. I wouldn't lie, she was more considerate than Valencia who only scolded me. It was certain it came from a place of love but Arianna did her

Katrina’s POVEar placed on the wood, I didn't for a moment think I would be caught because staffs rarely roamed the area and nobody comes through that path except invited or called upon through the mind link.I discreetly heed the faint sound of voices and chairs scraping before there was a quiet for about a minute. I didn't need to crack my brain before I knew it was because they were waiting for Davos to come out of his office.“Alpha King,” a low chorus of greeting reached my hearing and I cursed my lack of being a full werewolf hence that prevented me from heeding things clearly and understanding the conversation.Things went quiet again after their acknowledgement of Davos as the Alpha king. Barely moments later, there were hushed murmurings and in a bid to get a good understanding of what was going on, I shuffled, my feet taking me to the door handle. My face met the cold metal, and I squinted my eyes as if that would help me in any way to sharpen my ears. I was too intent on w

Katrina’s POVWhile attending to Eleanor, I was surprised she had asked about Valencia. It then clicked that Valencia must have been the one to refer her to me and it clicked. They both had the same elegant and classy aura with a straight way of speaking and mode of dressing. It wouldn't by any means shock me if I found out later they were more than acquaintances, maybe friends or even related in some way.I spent a bit of time with Eleanor as she purchased what she had in mind and the more seconds ticked by, it turned out my notion may have been right. After she had left I had another inflow of customers and Maddy and I ended up being busy half of the day. Valencia had suggested before, I should open a social media account, and that she and Arianna would show me the ropes.I already had a social media account where I used to view videos and content concerning all that was going on in the world. However I didn't know the dynamics on how to handle it by creating content and putting my

Katrina’s POVHis lips finally descended on mine in a fiery and captivating kiss that as always, swept me off my feet. He stole my breath away and every inch of my body reacted to his touch and the movement of his mouth on mine.I moaned as his tongue clashed with mine and they danced in a sensual dance of desire as the joy mixed with lust. His fingers roamed every inch of my body and soon food was forgotten. He tossed me on his king-sized bed, getting rid of my clothes and spread my legs wide enough to have his head buried between my thighs. My fingers skid into his hair, enjoying the softness of them as he did a good job at eating me out.I was a sweating, moaning mess by the time he was done, my first orgasm of the night dripping out of my feminity. Yeah you heard right, my first orgasm of the night. He had cleaned me up and dressed me in his shirt, calling me over to eat. Said he had enjoyed his appetizer and was ready to eat the food he had prepared before we continued our escapa

Katrina’s POVThe saying ‘with great power comes great responsibility,’ had turned to my reality in just a few days, minus the whole day which I was drifting in oblivion. You heard right. I had lost consciousness after drinking the blood of the king as well as the elders mixed together. Their blood must have carried a strange energy that the moment I downed it through my throat, my own blood was being ignited. At first I didn't take or see it as a problem as I felt dizzy for a moment. However Davos’s presence and hold was enough to steady me. Neither of us saw the next tremor that was coming which knocked me off my feet and shut me out to the world. The next thing I knew I woke up in Davos’s chamber which had become the King and Queen’s abode, it was sometime in the evening and it was clear I had been off for about a day, only for my suspiciouns to be confirmed when Davos approached. To my surprise I was told I had become a Lycan. It would go down in history at how hard I laughed at t

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 97: A Voice In My Head

Katrina’s POVThe weird feeling in my veins and gut continued for the next few days and turned into a week and more. Valencia and Arianna had assured me it was my wolf trying to get used to my body before it introduced itself. It was like a host and a parasite kind of thing, though thinking of it that way made it sound disgusting and not the beautiful thing it was meant to be and appreciated. As a result of that, I brushed it away, leaving everything to whenever my wolf thought it best to manifest. Thinking about it now, it seemed that the issue of a wolf made me brush aside too the extra signals my body was sending me which could mean something else, nonetheless I wrote it off to the same cause.‘Don’t you think, that flower needs to be watered?’ A strange feminine voice questioned in my ear, and I frowned.Pausing the tip of the pen on the clipboard in my hold, my feet which were comfortable in black slides came to a halt. I had discardded the heels black heels I had on beneath a da

Katrina’s POVI opened my mouth to mutter an “excuse me,” but swallowed the words back with the vomit as I palmed my lips and ran out of the dining area, my vision and brain frantically working together as they seemed out the nearest bathroom. Finally spotting a sign, I shoved the door open with all my might, strong enough to tear the door of its hinges if it ever was locked as I barelled for the sink.My fingers gripped the edges of the white ceramic structure, partly for balance and partly to help angle my body properly as I tilted my face downwards, not caring about my hair as I opened my mouth and let out all the contents in my system down the drain.I let out a non-flattering animalistic sound as I gagged, my throat being scratched as everything from the morning kept pouring out of me. Never did I know in those moments of distress that someone had followed me down the path until I felt soft fingers grab my hair strands together and away from my face, holding them in the air as I

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Epilogue

Katrina’s POVThe wind howled through the valley, carrying the scent of blood and smoke, even after all this time. The battle was over, but the land still bore the scars of war—charred earth, shattered weapons, and graves upon graves stretching farther than my eyes could see. I stood at the edge of the ridge, my cloak billowing behind me. The sun was setting, casting an eerie golden glow over the ruins below. It should have been beautiful. Instead, it felt haunting, as though the land itself mourned what had transpired here. Jax stood beside me, his large frame unusually still. He wasn’t the same man who had charged into battle with reckless confidence. None of us were the same anymore. Mira knelt beside a small grave, placing a single white flower upon the fresh mound of dirt. “She was only eighteen,” she murmured, her voice tight with grief. “She was supposed to see the world, not…” Her voice trailed off as her fingers traced the name etched into the stone. Shaun was further

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 169: True Enemy

Katrina’s POVAside from the distant moans of the injured and the crackle of dying fires, the battlefield was eerily quiet. Staring at the Crimson Alpha's lifeless body, his once-imposing figure reduced to a heap of broken bones and lost force, made my heart race. The victorious moment, however, felt unjust. hollow. I felt a shudder go through me as a slow, purposeful clap reverberated over the field. When I turned, I saw Lucy Hawthorne standing there. Her icy-blue eyes gleamed with laughter, and her scarlet cloak hardly stirred in the wind. As she stepped forward, her boots stomping on the blood-soaked grass, she exclaimed, "Well done." "You really did a favor for me." Mira tensed up next to me, her hand clenching over her knife. With a low growl, Jax's muscles tensed, poised to attack. Shaun's amber eyes blazed with anger as he took a defensive step forward. Davos, however, was the one who spoke at last. His voice was like steel as he said, "You were never here for him." “You

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 168: The Aftermath of The Battle

Katrina’s POVThe battlefield was quiet. My own rapid breathing was the only sound I could hear for the first time since the start of the conflict. The land was covered in blood, with the dead of both enemies and friends scattered like shattered dolls. There was a smell of death, fire, and grief in the air. A feeling of disquiet, more than anything else, was in the air. Beside me, Jax's enormous body heaved with fatigue. His silver eyes looked over the area as though he thought more foes may resurrect. Grasping her arm, Mira struggled to remain upright. With blood streaming from a cut on his forehead, Shaun rested on his sword, but his amber eyes remained alert. The conflict with the Crimson Alpha was over. Why, though, did it seem like we had lost something far more important? My eyes shifted to the Crimson Alpha's lifeless body. His once-dominant body was still, his red eyes permanently closed. The eerie force that had propelled him had vanished, vanishing into thin air. But som

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 166: Attempting to Use Another Offer Wisely

Katrina's POV With the exception of the distant crackling of flames devouring the remains of the dead, the battlefield was strangely quiet. The ground was slippery with the remains of soldiers who had sacrificed their lives for this conflict, and the air was heavy with the smell of blood and burned flesh. I walked over corpses, some I recognized, others I didn't, and my heart ached. The never-ending cycle of violence had taken another person, and each one was a loss. And yet there he was, in the middle of the slaughter. The Alpha Crimson. Despite the devastation all around him, he remained tall and intimidating. His posture eased as if he were just a spectator to the mayhem he had created, and his crimson eyes burned like coals. My body cried out for me to fight, to put a stop to this once and for all, and my grasp tightened around my blade. However, he held up a hand. "We need to talk, Katrina." My whole body hummed with stress as I tightened my jaw. "I have nothing to say to

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 165: New Betrayal

Katrina’s POVUnease was in the air at the war camp. The tension was oppressive and unavoidable; it adhered to my skin like a dense mist. There was a problem. The absence of food supply had been the first clue. When additional warriors joined our army, we first believed that the rations were being stretched thin, which was a simple error. Weapons, however, disappeared. Our strategy tent's plans outlining our next course of action vanished. Worst of all, fighters were vanishing into thin air. I looked around the camp as I stood outside my tent. Long, unsettling shadows were thrown over the restless warriors by fires that flared in the darkness. They experienced the paranoia and the feeling that something was falling apart inside of them as well. Shaun came over, his face serious. "Last night, another fighter disappeared. a top scout for us. No indication of a fight. It seems as if he just left. Mira folded her arms. "Someone is helping the enemy." I let out a deep breath, my thoug

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 164: The Decision of a Mother

Katrina's POVEven the most courageous soldiers were hesitant to enter the safehouse since it was tucked away in the deepest area of the forest. It was an area unaffected by conflict or the mayhem engulfing the world beyond the woods. My youngster was protected here. That's what I kept telling myself, anyhow. As the last of the sunshine slipped behind the tall trees, I watched from the doorway of the little wooden home. The soft sound of my son's laughing reverberated within, a tune so innocent that it didn't fit with the burden on my chest.I balled my fists up. The Crimson Alpha's soldiers were gaining momentum as the conflict reached its climax. My troops continued to fight without me for every second I was here. They lost another second life. But leaving was a total gamble. Leaving him was necessary.I turned and stepped inside, feeling a chill. With the flickering fire creating gentle shadows on the walls, the cabin's warmth enveloped me. Mira gave my kid some wooden sculptures t

Katrina’s POVAs we gathered around the frayed scroll, its mysterious lettering flashing in the faint torchlight, the atmosphere was heavy with suspense. Every time my heart beat, it served as a harsh reminder of how much depended on us. We had arrived to the deserted Lycan ruins, a location lost to time, thanks to the mystery. I felt the old carvings under my fingertips as I moved them over the stone walls. Relics from the past. Back when werewolves and lycans weren't adversaries. When they were one, that is. Shaun was standing next to me, looking over the ruins with amber eyes. "This place gives me a bad feeling." Mira let out a loud sigh. "Whether you like it or not, this is where the puzzle took us. Here is the solution. I looked to a big archway at the far end of the room and nodded. Beyond it, the blackness went on forever. I got a weird feeling that we were closer than ever before, like a weight pressing down on my chest. "We move together," I murmured while holding onto m

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 162: A Fight Against Herself

Katrina's POVThe air shifted around me, thick like a heavy mist, pulling me under. My body no longer felt like my own. The world faded, the ground dissolving beneath me until I was floating in an endless void. I wasn’t sure how I got here—one moment, I had been gripping the scroll the temple guardian had given me, reading its cryptic words, and the next, everything had gone dark. I took a slow breath, steadying my nerves. This was part of the trial. I had known there would be one. The moment I touched the scroll, I felt something pull at me, dragging me into a place beyond the physical world. But I hadn’t expected it to feel so... real. A soft whisper echoed through the void, a voice both foreign and familiar. "You're not prepared." I spun, searching for the source, but there was only darkness. Then, out of nowhere, a figure stepped forward. My breath caught. It was me. Or rather, it was a version of me—one twisted, darker. Her eyes blazed an unnatural red, her lips twisted
