Katrina’s POV

“Katrina,” Shaun mentioned my name and whirled my attention away from the men whom had just introduced themselves.

“Yes,” I answered, my expression completely blank regardless of the rush of emotions flowing through my system.

“From this moment on, you are no longer a member of this pack,” Shaun made a declaration while Amanda was surprisingly quiet as she was positioned beside him across the desk.

“What?” I questioned in surprise despite the fact I already guessed what was to come, however I never thought I would be denounced from the pack.

“You heard him clearly Katrina,” Amanda finally spoke just when I pointed out her silence. “Davos requested for you as a gift which is what we are giving him, or do you want the lives of many people to be stolen away by his wrath?”

“I never said a thing like that Amanda,” I growled, finding it hard to hold my irritation.

“Then we have nothing more to discuss here,” Amanda went on to say, provoking

Katrina’s POV“I’m sad and happy you are leaving us,” Vanessa said as she escorted me to the black rangerover packed in front of the house, Amanda and Shaun standing a distance away, watching us.“Same way I’m having mixed feelings,” I confessed in a sigh and reached for my satchel which she insisted to help me carry.I had filled her in briefly on what was going on while I put whatever valuables I had in the sizable leather bag. It was difficult for her to understand, nevertheless she felt anger and remorse at my situation. She ended up apologizing after our little talk and I told her the truth about not bearing grudges at her actions however I made it clear that we could never be close again even if our paths managed to cross in the future. It was a far fetched thought to think about crossing parts, but there was only a small bit we could predict about life. Unexpected things could happen at unexpected times. My life was a living testament to that and though it was normal for me to

Katrina’s POVAfter we drove for two more minutes, I caught sight of large walls in the distance. My curiosity sparked and I couldn't stop myself from asking. “What’s that?”“The walls surrounding the Lycan kingdom,” Mathew answered after I asked and I turned to see him focused on the ipad in his hold, not bothering to lift his head to reply.“They are huge,” I declared, my actions and words showing my lack of exposure and knowledge of certain things.“Yes,” Thomas murmured in a small laugh. “They are.”Soon we reached tall iron gates that opened up as our car approached and a man in black cap and a casual attire stood there. He granted the vehicle a salute regardless of the tinted glass aa we rode past the barrier. The image that surrounded me appeared surreal as we entered the kingdom. Tall buildings and architectural structures were scattered everywhere I looked.Minutes later the car came to a stop and I heard the sound of clicks indicating the car had been unlocked. Katrina’s POV“Beside the king’s what?” I asked, my voice breaking as I ran behind her while she tugged me in whatever direction she thought was correct.I could only catch a flashing glimpse of spiral staircase with golden handle as we climbed to the floors above and beautiful lights as I moved at that speed. Soon we came to a halt and she beamed at me, we were standing in front of an intricately carved door with shiny mahogany wood which from one glance you could tell was very expensive.Thomas and Mathew were no where to be seen and I couldn't blame them. I was shocked by her rapid movement in dragging me, her excitement a bit contagious and hard for me to resist as she felt like a burst of sunshine to my previously dark world.I could faintly hear them from downstairs but Ariana wasn't paying attention. She was too focused and elated by the matter at hand. Mathew probably knowing his sister and deciding to leave her be as he didn't bother to join us upstairs and accompany us.“Op

Katrina’s POVFor the first time in as long as I could remember, I had what people called a luxury bath. Different scents filled the bathroom as I rinsed my skin from the soap which I used to scrub my body clean. At some point I discovered I had been crying which didn't surprise me thus I was so overwhelmed with joy and relief as I did so. I knew it was too early to be happy, nonetheless my body and mind couldn't help succumb to the peace and calmness of the new environment I had found myself in.The past hour felt like heaven and I could say the difference was clear from where I was coming from. Exiting the bathroom, I strolled to the bed, my heart clenching in warmth and brow lifting in surprise as I caught sight of white cotton shorts and a blue vest laid out on the mattress.Already having an idea who’s action it was, I simply dropped the towel I had wrapped around me and lowered my body on the bed. Katrina’s POV“Open,” I called at the door as I halted my task of brushing my brows, an action I had never done in my life. Ariana had volunteered to pluck my brows the previous night. I refused initially but she told me it’d be worth it. After some persuasion, I gave in and almost regretted doing that at the jabs of pain I felt at each pull of my facial hair.In the end, the result was rewarding as she had said and the pain was nothing compared to all the hurt I had gone through all my life so I sucked it up and was happy at the change it made on my face as my sight caught the mirror that morning. We spent some time over dinner which she had brought and I was surprised when she joined me in eating. When I asked, her response was simply, she was hungry and she knew I was lonely so she came to keep me company and made me feel at ease. After dinner she pointed out the names and uses of the content in bottles, containers and tubes that were on my vanity table and in the bathroom.I was

I literally froze, every bone in my body unmoving and my heart beating too fast I hoped it wouldn't beat out of my chest. His gaze roamed over my face, observing every little detail and noting it to memory. I felt trapped by not only his arms but his irises too and the meaning in his statement.I gulped, eyes too wide for my face in shock and understanding. My fingers curled at my sides as shiver ran through me. For some seconds I wondered how his words could have such effect on me without him even touching me yet.The man was as ruthless and scary as I’d heard. Only the minutes I had spent in close proximity with him had told me that, so why was I feeling that way with him?“Choose your medicine wisely Katrina,” he murmured in a smirk which I was beginning to think was his signature look.“Hmmm?” He hummed when I didn't utter anything in response, another shudder running through me in the span of a minu

Katrina’s POV"Okay, which should I choose?" I asked no one else but myself as I stood, hands on hips, observing the dresses I had spread out on the mattress.Different designs and colors of dresses lay before me. The kind of dresses I had only seen on Amanda, Gina or other rich females back at Shaun's pack. Now the dresses were in my vision and all mine for whenever I wanted to wear them. It was evening and the sun had almost set completely, casting an orange hue in the sky.The clock read 5:23 pm and I had little over an hour to get ready. A maid had come over during my nap and informed me there would be an official dinner in the evening.I was a bit pained at the interruption thus it was the first time I had gotten to taking a nap. Katrina’s POVThe woman on the cliff disappeared as the river roared back into place, the bone path swallowed by the churning waters. My heart pounded, the Relic’s icy burn spreading up my arm. The visions lingered—her voice, her eyes, the chair of bones.‘Katrina,’ Marie’s voice was faint, strained. ‘The Relic… it’s changing you.’“I know,” I whispered, clutching my scarred hand. The runes pulsed with a faint red light, matching the rhythm of my heartbeat. The forest around me was strangely silent, the air thick with tension. I needed to move, to find Davos, to warn him. But where could I go? The castle was in ruins, the pack scattering. And now, this woman—this thing—was hunting me.I stumbled to my feet, my wet dress clinging to my skin. The Relic’s glow gave just enough light to see the rocky shore. I followed it downstream, thinking it would lead me to safety. But the forest had other plans. The trees seemed to close in around me, their branches turning into clawed hands. Shadows

Katrina POVAdvisor Thomas smiled sharply and unnaturally, and his snake-like eyes gleamed. As he transformed back into a human, the Blood Moon Alpha snarled and flung me to the ground in the jungle."Traitor," spit out the Alpha. "The plan was for you to die in the vault."Blood still trickled from Thomas's lips as he tilted his head. "One I've learned to...work out." "Death is a choice." He held up his hand, and the red-eyed rogues stepped forward. "Give me the hybrid, and you can crawl back to your pack with your tail between your legs."The Alpha growled, his fingers sprouting claws. "Don't take what's mine."Marie hissed in my head, "Katrina." "He has the Relic in his satchel!"The leather pouch at the Alpha's waist caught my attention. Through the fissures streamed a faint blue radiance. Davos had attempted to safeguard the Relic.Thomas was the first to lunge, his movements oddly fluid. His hit sent a ripple across the trees as the Alpha collided with him in midair. The red-eye

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 107: The Shadow’s Edge

Katrina’s POVThe veiled figure stood at the middle of the burning courtyard, flames reflected in their masked eyes like twin stars of evil. The air reeked of smoke and blood, the castle walls moaning as fire consumed them. Davos tightened his grip on my hand, his breath ragged. Shaun changed back into human form beside us, his face mysterious but his stance coiled for action. “Who is that?” I whispered, my voice raw. Davos’s jaw clenched. “The puppeteer.” The figure raised a hand, and the rogues still crawling through the rubble froze, their snarls dying mid-throat. Silence fell, broken only by the crackle of fire. “You’ve made this tedious,” the figure said, their voice twisted, booming as if three people spoke at once. “But predictable. Always defending weakness.” Shaun stepped forward, his voice a blade. “Show your face.” The figure laughed—a sound that scraped my bones. “You first, traitor. How does it feel to kneel at her feet?” Shaun’s hands clenched, but Davos cut in. “

Katrina's POVThe door burst inward, wood pieces flying in every direction. Davos dragged me behind him, his body protecting me as the first rogue shot across the broken portal. With drool flowing from its bared fangs, its yellow eyes projected wild hunger. Davos answered it directly, his fist hitting its head with a terrible crunch. More were already flowing in behind the rebel fallen to the floor.'Stay back!' Davos yelled, his voice a hoarse snarl as he tore viciously across the rogues. His motions were a blur, each hit deadly and exact. But there were too many of them. For every rogue he took down, two others seemed to take its place. I held the blade Davos had given me, my hands trembling. My heart pounded in my chest, and I could feel Marie’s presence in my head, her words demanding. ‘Katrina, you need to fight. You can’t just stand here.’ ‘I don’t know how!’ I shot back, fear growing in my chest. ‘I’ve never fought like this before!’ ‘Use your instincts,’ Marie urged,

Katrina's POV The hooded figure’s grip strengthened like a vise, pulling me deeper into the dark. I thrashed, but their power was amazing. My breath caught as fear clawed at my chest. “Fight, Katrina!” Marie’s voice snapped in my thinking. “Use your instincts!” I spun violently, slamming my heel into their shin. The figure hissed, grip loosening—just enough. I broke free, stumbling back, but they lunged again, putting an arm around my throat. Cold breath hissed against my ear. “You’re coming with me.” Black spots blurred my eyes as I grasped at their arm. Then, a roar pierced the air. “Let. Her. Go.” Davos rushed down the hall, eyes burning. Relief rushed over me at the sight of him, but it was quickly replaced by fear when the figure shoved me aside. I slumped to the floor, gasping. Davos swung, his fist striking with the figure’s jaw. They staggered but recovered unusually quickly, ducking his next hit with strange ease. “Davos, be careful!” I rushed to my feet, pulse poundin

  • Bound to the Alpha’s will   Chapter 104: The Hunt

Katrina's POVThe night was oddly quiet after Davos and the guards left to investigate the person I had seen outside. I stood in the hallway, my arms wrapped firmly around myself, trying to quiet the storm of fear rushing inside me. The castle felt cooler, darker, like if the shadows themselves were alive and watching me. Marie’s words repeated in my mind, her tone pressing. 'Katrina, keep alert. The threat isn’t over.' 'I know,' I replied, my voice quivering in my mind. 'But what do I do, Marie? I can’t just stand here and wait.' 'You need to keep strong,' Marie stated, her voice stern. 'Davos will handle this. But you need to be ready for anything.' I nodded, though no one was there to see it. My heart was pounding, and I could feel the excitement running through my blood. I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing. I needed to know what was happening. I stepped nearer the window, looking out into the night. The moon shed a light glimmer over the castle grounds, but the shades

Katrina's POVThe days following the poisoning attempt were tense. Davos had increased security around the castle, and I was rarely left alone. Guards followed me everywhere, their presence a constant reminder of the danger lurking within the walls of what was supposed to be my safe haven. Despite Davos's reassurances, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something terrible was about to happen. The castle, once a place of comfort, now felt like a prison.I sat in the garden, trying to enjoy the warmth of the sun, but even the bright rays couldn’t dispel the shadows in my mind. Marie’s voice echoed in my head, her tone calm but firm. 'Katrina, you need to stay alert. The threat is still out there.''I know,' I replied, my voice trembling in my mind. 'But how do I fight an enemy I can’t see?'Marie didn’t respond, and I knew she was just as worried as I was. The truth was, we both knew that the danger was closer than we thought. Someone within the castle walls wanted me and my child gone,

Katrina's POVThe atmosphere seemed colder, darker the instant Maddy departed to head for Davos. My hands shaking, I sat on the brink of the bed and fixed my eyes on the tea cup on the table. The faint, sour scent persisted in the air, a reminder of how near I had come to be drinking something that might have injured my pregnant kid, or worse. My heart hammering in my chest, I could sense Marie's presence in my head, her fear reflecting my own.'Katrina,' Marie said in a calm but forceful voice. We have to keep on alert. Whoever committed this could still be close by.I nodded, though nobody else could see it. My eyes flew around the room, searching for any signs of danger. The fire crackled quietly in the hearth, but its warmth did nothing to soothe the chill that had sunk deep in my bones. I stood up, pacing the room, my mind racing with questions. Who would do this? And why? Was it someone within the castle? Someone I trusted? The door flew open, and Davos stormed in, his co

Katrina's POVEmotions ran high in the days after my pregnancy was made public. As he showered me with love and attention, Davos was ecstatic and his joy was infectious. But I couldn't get rid of the uneasy sensation that persisted in the back of my mind even after he reassured me. The news was all across the castle, and although the majority of the pack members appeared to be sincerely delighted for us, I couldn't help but notice the faint looks and the hushed chatter that ceased as soon as I entered a room. Everyone seemed to be observing me and waiting for something to occur. "You're acting paranoid," Marie stated in a composed yet strong tone. "Not everybody is trying to harm you." "I know," I said, my thoughts racing. But I'm powerless to stop it. Something doesn't feel right. I knew Marie was as concerned as I was, but she didn't answer. In actuality, we were both aware that my pregnancy would not be welcomed by everyone in the kingdom. I was still viewed by some as an outcas
