Davina's point of view
I fell completely silent. Holding a little shock in my gaze. "You knew my mother?"
She caressed a smile. "I knew your mother mother's ancestors."
Bloody fuck! This woman--khalia is definitely way older than she looks in her somewhat fifties.
"Can you help us?" Esther asked the woman.
"Of course I can and I will. That's precisely why my people had to do the needful to ensure I survived. Someone had to, inorder to help you."
Rhona poured in glass of water and handed it to her.
"Thank you Rhona" Khalia drank from it.
"Mother found a way to break Gretchen curse right?" I asked Khalia.
She nodded. "We all helped her"
"By we, you mean...." Esther came at her side.
"Yes. I mean all five of us." Khalia said.
Cameron's point of view I entered the office with the Five Elders. I took my seat and so did they. I can't deny it the little fear embedded in me. I know these Elders, they do not show up until when necessary. And deep down I have a nagging reason why they are here. But I just hope I'm wrong, because she's not ready yet. "Alpha" Ethan pulled me out of my thoughts. "Sorry, I was just thinking of something" I shuffled on my seat, giving my full attention to them. "You know why we are here don't you?" Elder Jake, always straight to the point as usual. "No." I stated, playing dumb and hoping it's for a different reason. "This matter couldn't wait any more. We are here because of the Luna" Elder Alex started. I exhaled tiredly. My guess was right. They are here for Davina. I've been expecting them, but I didn't know it'd be this soon. "And what ab
Davina's point of viewWe entered NightBird, one of the lined up restaurant, in Hayes Valley. Carter and Benjamin went for our order, while Bradson and Allegra went snooping around, hopefully to find something. Esther and I spread out the map of the town on the table. Well, according to Khalia, we need to find an antique store, called Vacarmen's. We just need to find the store, then we find the Reeva Coven Clan. We couldn't find anything on the map, well I guess we have to find it some other way. I asked around, and no one knows of it. Then Allegra and Bradson came to us, beside Bradson was a dark skinned lady, wearing a skimpy dress. She had a small frame and was of an average eyes. "Meet Bethany, guys" Bradson gently tugged on the petite figure. "Hi!" She chirped excitingly, twitching on her heels. Esth
Davina's point of view After finding Benjamin and Allegra, they all returned back to the Reeva Coven Clan with Esther, Bradson, Cleo and the rest of the Witches. We packed up and left the Reeva Clan with a location to our next Coven we must find, the Vernus Clan. The third of the Five. Reila entrusted to us another half of the spell mother found to lower the curse. "Where are we going now?" Allegra asked as we entered the car. "We'll drive back to the City. Cameron has a penthouse suite there. We'll stay there for the night at least" Carter said. "Ooh yes!" Allegra chirped in. We continue to drive for hours until we reached the City. From there we checked into one Cameron's hotel and went straight to it's penthouse suite. Once we were inside, I called Cameron and briefed him of everything. He was thrilled to know we were slowly progressing.
Davina's point of view Carter, Esther, Allegra, Benjamin, Bradson and I flew back to New Orleans after the incident during dinner. Gabrielle called and informed us about everything that was happening at the Pack. It was saddening to know an entire Werewolf pack was killed. There wasn't any survivor. It pained me deeply, I can't imagine how Cameron must feel now. 'Crushed and defeated. That's how!' My inner thought hummed tiredly. I raked a finger through my hair, stepping on the ground of New Orleans. No one had said a word during the flight. As if everyone was in their own web of thoughts. I huffed out a stressing breath. I had to home to Cameron, be there for him. He needs me. We hopped into a black Limousine waiting outside the tarmac to take us home. Impatiently, I counted the seconds, it
Benjamin's point of viewI stood at the mansion terrace, staring down from the second floor, my head nesting on the agile long pillars while seating on the extreme edge. It's been a day now since the mass burial rites performed for the Werewolf Pack Darwin's men slaughtered brutally. I wish I could say that came as a shock to me, but it's didn't. Infact I was wondering when Darwin plans to execute his plans he had for the longest now. I just didn't know it would happen this way. I was there, at the last burial rites for the dead Pack, and I'm not being a hypocrite here, but I did feel pity for the lives lost. Don't get me wrong, I'm much as a demon as Darwin and I know damn well if I was still working for him, I'll be at the frontline, carrying this killings. That wouldn't be a bad idea considering how much I loathe the Werewolves kind. But seeing the young children caught up in
Cole's point of view The meeting with the Circle lasted for nine long hours. Many Alphas came, and every head Circle was present, seated at the round medieval like table. Speaking of it, the whole building looked archaic, and medieval. I was seated beside the Alpha on his right, his left was Xavier. The recent happenings from Darwin's side seemed to be affecting not only the Werewolves Kind but other Supernaturals as well. Supernatural kinds are being wiped out as well, Darwin is going all out. He's trying to weaken us by wiping out the supernatural kind, so that when a war finally breaks out, we'll be at a disadvantage. And for now Rowena's side as been awfully quiet as well. We all know she's cooking up something, something that's indubitably unpleasant for us. Soon enough the meeting ended. We left Detroit quickly, riding the Limo
Davina's point of view Fright and terror was all I felt. Racing through the giants luxurious doors, right outside where the group's black Chevrolet Suburban car halted. Rhona and Esther hurried up in front, waking through the intimidating tall doors, while Xavier and Cole carried a now completely unconscious Cameron in their arms, walking at similar racing speed. I raced beside them, my deep blue gaze never leaving his. I could clearly see the paleness that now rested on his skin. His face began to grow whites, a black line popped up on his veins, spreading slowly around his body, which definitely wasn't a good sign. Even the spell we had placed on Cameron to alter the perception of time on him and slow down whatever effect the black rune dagger may have, was speedily fading away. "I need to see Monique" Rhona demanded in a haste, once we were inside the finely structured few storey mansion. Her eyes held the young, dar
Davina's point of viewWe were all done with the spell, binding the Black Rune Dagger to Cameron's Wolf side. But the Dagger was still stuck to his heart. We cloaked it, now it's can't be seen. We lifted him with our magic, placing him carefully on the bed. "Will he be fine now?" Esther questioned. "We can't be sure yet, unless he wakes up but with the Black Rune Dagger still in his heart, I can't say for sure. He may be a little different." Rhona spoke. What? "Different how?" I was alarmed. I didn't know of this. "Relax. I just meant being without his Wolf and all" I sighed. "What's next?" I asked, my eyes on Cameron. "We wait for him to awake" Rhona said. "And the thunderstorm that will come after that" Esther chipped, jokingly. I smiled. "I'll take care of that" "S
Third person's point of view Ten years later It's been ten year since the eldest child of Cameron and Davina was stolen. It's also been ten years since the war, and the attacks and massacres on Packs and Covens have been reduced. The remaining Vampire Kings ensured peace by enacting rules in their kingdoms and on their vampires to keep serenity and most importantly to ensure the safety of humans. During this ten years, Alpha Cameron helped other Packs get back on their feet. Those Packs that was affected by Darwin's attacks were rebuilt and Packs whose Alpha and family died were succeeded by their Betas. Alpha Cameron also helped several Packs and Covens with finances, trainings and infrastructures. He ensured none was lacking. The magical world remained nothing but midnight stories and fantasies to the human world. The Crescent Moon's Pack expanded it's borders and gained more territorial lands. Four more mansions were built few distance from each
Cameron's point of view The war was over. We attained victory. Darwin and his armies lifeless bodies were scattered in our territory, and also that of Rowena and her witches, even the pathetic traitor, Alpha Henry was killed during the war. Mitch's words rang in my head, but I couldn't even be ecstatic. I couldn't be happy for our victory even if I wanted to. Atleast not right now. Not when my mate is in that state. Luckily, the Elders and Alpha Dimitri were still around, they were kind enough to take care of things in my absence. It's been exactly an hour since Rhona and the Pack's head doctor asked me out of the room to tend to my mate and there's still no word. The Pack is well aware of their Luna's condition, they've been making prayers to whosoever is up there for my mate and pup recovery. I was still sitting in front of the infirmary door where my mate was being looked after when I picked up a chaotic stir in the air, followed by fast heartbeats. Without thinking twic
Davina's point of view I breathed in calmly. I was near the clearing field where we waited for Rowena. I could hear the swift movements of the enemy armies. They kept drawing closer and closer. I closed my eyes, breathing in the nature's magic coming from the earth, the air and the blood moon hanging up. The fast movements of Darwin's armies drummed my ears as I could feel their stench in my nose. They were almost onto me. I knew it was time. I pulled my hands mid-air, my fingers dancing, swaying to the rhythm of the concentrated magic around me. And in an instant, I snapped my hands watching the armies in sight drop dead on the ground from the snapping of their necks. I smiled, turning to the south of where I stood. I did the same when the enemy armies were in sight. I had positioned at the north direction, when an overpowering wave of magic ran through me. It caused me to loose my balance and stumble on the bloody dirt on th
Rhona's point of view We all stared blankly at the night's darkness, gazing up at the sky. It was a full Moon already, soon it'll become a blood moon due to the Lunar eclipse. A thundering growl echoed. It was Alpha Cameron. It was meant to inform everyone the war is almost at our door. I turned to the witches, nodding at them, everyone knew exactly what to do. Those who weren't fighting in the war had made their way to the underground bunkers and it has been concealed to protect them. I gazed at the sky once more, then a gentle but fierce wind blew to the point it shook me. I gazed around when the Luna met with me. "The wind was blowing from the northeast. This isn't good. Something big is coming our way. A storm that will destroy us all" There was a shivering in my bones. "What is it? You don't mean the war, do you?" She questioned. I wish I could tell her more.
Cameron's point of view My hands rested firmly on the railings of the second floor. We were at the mansion. Even from a mile away, one could feel the vibrations from the Packhouse and around the territory. I curled my lips into a smile, it was nice seeing so many people from different supernatural root in one place, united. I loved the view from up here. Suddenly a sick shiver ran down my spine and Vittorio felt it more. I exhaled, exhausted. It was hard being optimistic, shouldering so many burden while still giving hope. Truthfully,I was worried about the war. It was the last day already, and in few more hours we will battle for our lives and existence. I couldn't help but be worried. This was Rowena we were talking about, she has been preparing for this moment almost her entire life and I'm worried. I feel something terrible was going to happen, even though we were prepared for this war. Suddenly
Cameron's point of view I sipped from the cup of coffee on my table. My bloodshot red eyes kept going through some of the Company's business files Travis emailed over that needed my attention. After I was done I looked into the Pack's business I need to attend to under the Pack's name. Like the Pack's high school which needed a new curriculum, I also needed to visit the new Pack's hospital that has just been constructed. I was done signing the cheques needed for the Pack's finances. I stretched out from my seat, looking deep into the forest. Vittorio have been itching for a run, and temptingly that sounded nice. I rubbed my chin, decisively. It was pitch dark outside but I could still hear the loud noises coming from outside the mansion walls. The clashing of metals, howling of wolves, even the smell of the sweat. It's been four days already, and so far so good we've began training for the war
Cameron's point of view We informed the Circle and the Elders of the good news. They were all happy for us, regardless of the looming threat. A child is always blessing. After I announced the good news, I mindlinked every high ranking wolf in the Pack for a meeting at my office. I also called the head witch, Rhona and also the vampire head Declan and some ranking vampire members in the East side of the Pack's territory. I met up with Mitch and Carter. "Send word to the village at the West border. John, Pablo, and the rest should be present for the meeting" Carter nodded and left right away. The village was at the West border of the Pack's territory where retired wolves who just want to relax and live their life with their mates lived. Exactly five minutes later, I walked into my office with Mitch. It was already filled. Everyone was present, down to the ex- officials that were in the West border of
Cameron's point of view I paced back and forth in my office. I bet it's been an hour or fucking more since Rhona and Vera literally walked me out of my room. I couldn't stand the cringing fear that kept devouring me. My mind keep having all sort of berserk thoughts and Vittorio is more hysterical than ever. The door to my office pulled open. It was Mitch. "Is Rhona out yet?" I queried. He shook negatively, making me curse under my breath. "What the fuck is going on?" I pulled my hair. "I honestly don't know. What was all that Cyrene talk about?" Mitch swerved. "I have no bloody clue about that and this was not the time to think about her" Something was wrong with Davina and that was more important. I could hear Mitch loud exhale. "You are right. Luna's safety comes first"
Cameron's point of view It was the first light of dawn and I was already present at the Gate of thrones. I couldn't sleep a wink last night, because I felt restlessly nervous. I kept wondering what Cyrene's vision was about. Cyrene was a powerful witch who was gifted with the ability to foresee the future. She was a member of the Circle made up of different supernatural kind there is. This was how we kept peace among ourselves. Cyrene could also scribe out prophesies. She was the one who saw the prophesy about the living descent of an Amnell witch, the bloodlines of the eight ancient witches of the French Quarters and my mate would bring an end to the Crescent curse that Gretchen placed on us. Whatever she says was indubitably the truth. I came along with my mate, Rhona, Mitch and Benjamin. We were all seated round the old ancient round table. "We are all present he
