Third person's point of view
It was at the peak of midnight. She couldn't sleep, after spending ineffectual hours during the day trying to figure out the meaning of the weird writings in her mother's journal. All Davina's efforts and invested time went down the drain.
She felt angry, furious and unsettled at everything.
She honestly had not the slightest clue why she felt that way these days. Maybe it was because she still haven't been able to get in touch with Benjamin. She had nothing of his to aid her quest in casting a spell. That too was infuriating! But in the depth of her bones, she knew that wasn't the case. Davina felt most of the time suffocated, and unsettled, her entire body stirred in a certain feeling as if alarmed of a certain storm. Even her magic had been out of control to the point that she almost set her room on fire. The weirdest part was the blue flames
Her breath was deep and shallow. Davina eyes scanned her surrounding. It was dark. She pushed herself up, standing on her bare feet. She could feel the light cut from her left foot. She took a look at her left foot, finding the lifeless stick that was idle in her feet. Without much hesitation, she pushed the torn out of her flesh. Now her full concentration was on her surrounding. She didn't recognize where she was. But that aside, Davina had more questions grazing her mind. How on earth did she get here? She gave a thoughtful glance on her body and to a relief, she was as good as fine, that's if ignoring the dirt on her black tank top and the leaves that covered her hair. She could say she was damn glad it was dark and no bird had seen her in this mess or it could have mistook the mess on her head for a comfy nest. Her blue eyes glanced up at the night sky, it was clear having no stars. The same question rang in
Cameron's point of viewI took my mate into my arms, walking back to the pack. Gosh, the entire place in the witches quarters was a damn mess. Luckily the witch contained everything here with their powers ensuring there was not a single destruction at the Pack house. Only a deep crack could be noticed on the ground.I placed my beautiful mate on my the bed. We were in my room. My hands clasped hers as I stared at her pale face, still holding her tightly as the witches prepared for the ritual. I let the covers cover her hoping it'll bring a little warmth to her. She was turning ice cold. I heaved out a breath. Part of me thanking the stars, I arrived just in time before things got more messy or rather before anyone got hurt, even worse killed. My large hand begin to caress her cheek, gently, hoping it will atleast do some good. Cole and Gabi had mindlinked me earlier when they found out she seemed to be missing. No one knew where she w
Davina's point of viewHe placed his lips on mine, slowly kissing me. I could feel the feeling of desire that roved deep within me. I didn't know what to do. I remained fixed, under the warmth of his lips. Then suddenly he stopped himself, his eyes black too with desire as he canines begin to elongate. Instantly, Cameron jolted up from the bed, racing to the farthest end in my room. My blue eyes following him. He breathes deeply to control himself. I saw he was struggling with his inner wolf. Creeping out of the bed, I slowly moved to him, placing a hand on him. At my touch I felt his entire body stiffined like it had been hit with lightening. Cameron turned quickly to me, fuck! His eyes glowing golden with yellow flecks, telling me Vittorio was probably calling the shot now. Grabbing me strongly from my waist, with his super speed I felt my back against the wall, Cameron muscular arms imprisoning me. "Cam---" He dived his face
Davina's point of view"What are you thinking?" Davina gave a quick reflex punch at Gabi, as she blocked with her elbow. Gabi replied, issuing out a blow of her own which Davina swiftly dodged. "Nothing!" "Nothing?" She asked Gabi with a creased brow. Dropping the pad on her knuckles down. Gabi followed her, also taking a break as the two laid on the chilling floor. "Would you mind telling me what 'nothing' you were thinking about?" Her hands folded underneath her head, giving her some comfort. "Just forget it..." She paused as if having a second thought. "Promise you won't kill me for this" Davina's face scanned her, as if actually thinking. "I think not. Just tell me what you want to say" She inhaled. "Alright here it's goes. Why don't you like our Alpha?" She rushed out so fast that at first Davina cou
Davina's point of viewI snuggled deeper into the warmth of my sheets, I felt good, really good. I just might say this is the best night I have ever had. The pleasant warmth of the sheets over me, my body coiled up delicately against it warmth. I peered my eyes half open, catching a glimpse of the lazy sunrays that floated into my room. "Gosh it's morning already" I almost screamed in frustration. I didn't want this nice feeling to end, even the air scented different and appealing. I wish I could just lay here all day long. "Yeah it's morning already. But we could lay a little longer together" I heard a voice say in my sleepiness. I nodded mentally, loving the idea of this lasting much longer. "sounds good" I snuggled deeper into the softness. "Gosh it's so soft" I smiled against the softness of my pillow. "Yeah it is and you're holding me
Cameron point of viewI ran through the bushes, a distance away from where Davina rolled from. I was almost there, about to grab her when out of the blue, someone held her pinned on the floor. I halted dead in my tracks. Stunned and furious, watching the haughty male witch from earlier straddling my Davina. My mate. 'Kill him!' Vittorio voice boomed in my head. I was fucking angry at the picture before me, so angry I didn't even know I had partly shifted. My canines were out, my sharp animal nails, long and eager to get that witch blood on it. I had questions grazing my mind. And I was angry too. It seems my mate was barely doing anything to push the enemy off her. I felt a heated wave of red raging fury devouring me as I moved closer silently. He felt my presence. I could tell, because he became alert, and the corner of his visible eyes gleamed dangerously. Before I could take the next step, he d
Cameron's point of view I retreated my steps back to the pack house, perceiving the sweet scent that filled the air around me, settling at the tip of my tongue. I felt a stir in my body, suddenly I felt hungry and thirsty for blood. Mitch spoke to me through the mindlink. 'Where should I keep him?' 'For now at the pack house, heavily guarded too. I need to speak with the witches and the officials.' I reached my room in a haste, taking off my blood mess shirt. "Cam. Wait" My mate called, stepping in. Her blue crystal staring at me or rather my exposed bare skin. I repressed a naughty chortle in my throat. I turned to her. Inhaling deeply, the sweet scent swam into my nostrils. Them her scent was so strong and tempting too. "I don't trust him, Davi." I covered myself up, letting her recover from her wonder. Sh
Cameron's point of view The instant I stepped into the mansion her scent was everywhere. The intense stabbing hunger ate through my insides. I rushed quickly to my office, shutting the door close. "I felt it...Your growls" Rhona was seated, waiting for me. Her eyes widened when she met mine. "You don't look good. What's happened?" I exhaled taking my seat. I explained to her, everything I've been feeling and my need for my very own mate's blood. Rhona inhaled after hearing me silently. "You can't cheat nature Cameron. If you want to feed from your mate, then do it. It's nature and you are a Vampire. One thing you should know is you'll never hurt her." I knew it. Somewhere deep down I knew this will be Rhona's own thoughts, just like Carter and Mitch. And I understood it all. But I guess what scares me more is not being able to sto
Third person's point of view Ten years later It's been ten year since the eldest child of Cameron and Davina was stolen. It's also been ten years since the war, and the attacks and massacres on Packs and Covens have been reduced. The remaining Vampire Kings ensured peace by enacting rules in their kingdoms and on their vampires to keep serenity and most importantly to ensure the safety of humans. During this ten years, Alpha Cameron helped other Packs get back on their feet. Those Packs that was affected by Darwin's attacks were rebuilt and Packs whose Alpha and family died were succeeded by their Betas. Alpha Cameron also helped several Packs and Covens with finances, trainings and infrastructures. He ensured none was lacking. The magical world remained nothing but midnight stories and fantasies to the human world. The Crescent Moon's Pack expanded it's borders and gained more territorial lands. Four more mansions were built few distance from each
Cameron's point of view The war was over. We attained victory. Darwin and his armies lifeless bodies were scattered in our territory, and also that of Rowena and her witches, even the pathetic traitor, Alpha Henry was killed during the war. Mitch's words rang in my head, but I couldn't even be ecstatic. I couldn't be happy for our victory even if I wanted to. Atleast not right now. Not when my mate is in that state. Luckily, the Elders and Alpha Dimitri were still around, they were kind enough to take care of things in my absence. It's been exactly an hour since Rhona and the Pack's head doctor asked me out of the room to tend to my mate and there's still no word. The Pack is well aware of their Luna's condition, they've been making prayers to whosoever is up there for my mate and pup recovery. I was still sitting in front of the infirmary door where my mate was being looked after when I picked up a chaotic stir in the air, followed by fast heartbeats. Without thinking twic
Davina's point of view I breathed in calmly. I was near the clearing field where we waited for Rowena. I could hear the swift movements of the enemy armies. They kept drawing closer and closer. I closed my eyes, breathing in the nature's magic coming from the earth, the air and the blood moon hanging up. The fast movements of Darwin's armies drummed my ears as I could feel their stench in my nose. They were almost onto me. I knew it was time. I pulled my hands mid-air, my fingers dancing, swaying to the rhythm of the concentrated magic around me. And in an instant, I snapped my hands watching the armies in sight drop dead on the ground from the snapping of their necks. I smiled, turning to the south of where I stood. I did the same when the enemy armies were in sight. I had positioned at the north direction, when an overpowering wave of magic ran through me. It caused me to loose my balance and stumble on the bloody dirt on th
Rhona's point of view We all stared blankly at the night's darkness, gazing up at the sky. It was a full Moon already, soon it'll become a blood moon due to the Lunar eclipse. A thundering growl echoed. It was Alpha Cameron. It was meant to inform everyone the war is almost at our door. I turned to the witches, nodding at them, everyone knew exactly what to do. Those who weren't fighting in the war had made their way to the underground bunkers and it has been concealed to protect them. I gazed at the sky once more, then a gentle but fierce wind blew to the point it shook me. I gazed around when the Luna met with me. "The wind was blowing from the northeast. This isn't good. Something big is coming our way. A storm that will destroy us all" There was a shivering in my bones. "What is it? You don't mean the war, do you?" She questioned. I wish I could tell her more.
Cameron's point of view My hands rested firmly on the railings of the second floor. We were at the mansion. Even from a mile away, one could feel the vibrations from the Packhouse and around the territory. I curled my lips into a smile, it was nice seeing so many people from different supernatural root in one place, united. I loved the view from up here. Suddenly a sick shiver ran down my spine and Vittorio felt it more. I exhaled, exhausted. It was hard being optimistic, shouldering so many burden while still giving hope. Truthfully,I was worried about the war. It was the last day already, and in few more hours we will battle for our lives and existence. I couldn't help but be worried. This was Rowena we were talking about, she has been preparing for this moment almost her entire life and I'm worried. I feel something terrible was going to happen, even though we were prepared for this war. Suddenly
Cameron's point of view I sipped from the cup of coffee on my table. My bloodshot red eyes kept going through some of the Company's business files Travis emailed over that needed my attention. After I was done I looked into the Pack's business I need to attend to under the Pack's name. Like the Pack's high school which needed a new curriculum, I also needed to visit the new Pack's hospital that has just been constructed. I was done signing the cheques needed for the Pack's finances. I stretched out from my seat, looking deep into the forest. Vittorio have been itching for a run, and temptingly that sounded nice. I rubbed my chin, decisively. It was pitch dark outside but I could still hear the loud noises coming from outside the mansion walls. The clashing of metals, howling of wolves, even the smell of the sweat. It's been four days already, and so far so good we've began training for the war
Cameron's point of view We informed the Circle and the Elders of the good news. They were all happy for us, regardless of the looming threat. A child is always blessing. After I announced the good news, I mindlinked every high ranking wolf in the Pack for a meeting at my office. I also called the head witch, Rhona and also the vampire head Declan and some ranking vampire members in the East side of the Pack's territory. I met up with Mitch and Carter. "Send word to the village at the West border. John, Pablo, and the rest should be present for the meeting" Carter nodded and left right away. The village was at the West border of the Pack's territory where retired wolves who just want to relax and live their life with their mates lived. Exactly five minutes later, I walked into my office with Mitch. It was already filled. Everyone was present, down to the ex- officials that were in the West border of
Cameron's point of view I paced back and forth in my office. I bet it's been an hour or fucking more since Rhona and Vera literally walked me out of my room. I couldn't stand the cringing fear that kept devouring me. My mind keep having all sort of berserk thoughts and Vittorio is more hysterical than ever. The door to my office pulled open. It was Mitch. "Is Rhona out yet?" I queried. He shook negatively, making me curse under my breath. "What the fuck is going on?" I pulled my hair. "I honestly don't know. What was all that Cyrene talk about?" Mitch swerved. "I have no bloody clue about that and this was not the time to think about her" Something was wrong with Davina and that was more important. I could hear Mitch loud exhale. "You are right. Luna's safety comes first"
Cameron's point of view It was the first light of dawn and I was already present at the Gate of thrones. I couldn't sleep a wink last night, because I felt restlessly nervous. I kept wondering what Cyrene's vision was about. Cyrene was a powerful witch who was gifted with the ability to foresee the future. She was a member of the Circle made up of different supernatural kind there is. This was how we kept peace among ourselves. Cyrene could also scribe out prophesies. She was the one who saw the prophesy about the living descent of an Amnell witch, the bloodlines of the eight ancient witches of the French Quarters and my mate would bring an end to the Crescent curse that Gretchen placed on us. Whatever she says was indubitably the truth. I came along with my mate, Rhona, Mitch and Benjamin. We were all seated round the old ancient round table. "We are all present he
