BBAP CHAPTER 117

Of all the days it would rain, why does it have to be this day?

That was what Dalmi asked herself when she felt the droplets of water falling on her hands. Mixed emotions came rushing inside her. Anger, embarrassment, frustrations. All of it was mixed up, but the rain seemed like it wanted to tell her that it was okay to cry, and if she was ashamed, he could go with and cry with her.

She was afraid to cry, for she wasn’t sure why. She was angry at Carden for two reasons: because he didn’t tell her that he’d stay for days and he let her drive to this island and because he told someone about their past, making her appear as if she was the bad one.

Dalmi had always been understanding of all the things he did from the past, and if he only didn’t hurt her as much as she could endure back then, she must’ve been with him until now.

“It wasn’t like that, Dalmi. I know how bad you wanted to go

He just stayed there, caressing her hair as she continued to cry herself. Right now, she could already predict what her face looked like.If Amanda and Jaime Bermundo will throw her even a glance, they would probably find out that she cried. She was just thankful that it was raining, and that her tears were not that visible for the droplets mixed with the water falling down her face, along with it.“If you no longer want to go back there, we could just go to the car. I have some spare clothes that you can change into and we can drive back to the city.”If she was in her right mind, she would gladly oblige and walk with him. But now that her breathing was ragged and her gasps wouldn't stop because of her loud sobs earlier, she couldn't. Her eyes were puffy, an

If we ever leave tonight, we need to make sure we are safe.” Dalmi didn’t know what to say. After eating in silence for a couple of minutes, Jaime just told her they couldn’t leave and now, Carden was telling her that there was a typhoon hitting South Luzon and it would be better if they stay inside the house even for two days before they can go home. Does fate favor this man more than her? Because as much as she wanted to avoid him, the more she was getting closer. It was just so frustrating that she had to stay here instead of driving back home and she had no choice but to follow. With a heavy and unwilling heart, she let out a deep, long sigh. What else could she do if these people are just concerned about their future state? She would prefer to endure days inside this big house i

If she was the old Dalmi Arizona who didn’t care about her father’s shouts and yells, she now realized how important it was, and to know that she’ll get scolded when she’s already twenty-nine was both embarrassing and frightening.“I...I didn’t want to stay here longer but-”“Why do you sound like you are nervous?” Damiar Arizona spoke on the other line, halting her from her words. Her brows creased in confusion.“What are you saying? I know you were angry! Of course, I need to come clean and-”“I was saying t

He didn’t have time to ask her, for her already when he got back his sanity from long seconds of gaping. He still couldn't get it. Of all people, he knew that he was infertile and he couldn't give her a child so how come he was the real father of the child she beared? His heart hammered loud and fast. He couldn’t think of how it became possible when it was clear to the doctor that he was infertile. It was impossible! But it has been years...the woman should be tired of lying by now, and he could see from her eyes the hatred and rage from all that he said earlier. The way she revealed the one she has been talking to was not his husband but a child...and he was the real father. He messed his hair. He wanted to come after her, but his mind was confused. BBAP CHAPTER 122At that very moment, Dalmi realized that Carden Thompson was a complete jerk. How can one be so insecure about himself and doesn’t believe in his own ability? She knew he was infertile, but it has been years and it still hasn’t occurred in his mind that there was no way she would cheat in their relationship?Shaking her head, she went back to her room and reached for her phone on the bedside table. She sat at the edge of the bed and searched for Jack's number in her phone and called him. When she put it on her ear, her eyes drifted towards the glass window. She could see from the small gap between the mirror and the curtain that the rain was still pouring outside, but compared to what they had earlier after she took a bath, it was better.“Dalmi! Where are you?” Brooke’s worried voice rang before her ears, making her move the phone far from her ears as she listened to the woman. “We have a typhoon and you are

She didn't know why the man called her at this hour for a talk, but she already had a hunch. Johannes had been a good friend to her ever since she came to Chicago and lived there with Denver, and for years, the man didn’t fail to give her signals that he liked her. And although she also showed him that she was not ready for a new relationship, she knew the man was still hoping that she could reciprocate what he felt. Her head bumped on his back when he halted from his walk, making her in pain as she touched her forehead. “Why are you not saying anything?” the man glanced behind his shoulders, tilting his head a bit to meet her eyes. “Sorry...I wasn’t looking at where I stepped on,” she bit her lips and shifted her gaze to the skies. You should be with your family and not here!”“That’s why I am here, Dalmi…” Carden replied, but his eyes were on th

To hear his wife’s mother those words were too painful to swallow, and his mind couldn't accept. “You...don’t trust me? Auntie, I was just worried about my son!” “Because you know you cannot protect him! You know you can’t protect your family because you are incompetent! It was past eleven, and Denver and Dalmi were already in a deep slumber; however, he still couldn’t get himself to sleep. He was standing on Dalmi’s veranda, his back leaning on the wall and his eyes gazing at the deep, night sky. His disheveled hair kept on dancing with the cold wind as if it was upbeat music that won’t stop his hair from moving sideways, but he didn’t mind, for the only thing he wanted right now was to enjoy the peacefulness of the night.Up until now, he still couldn't believe that everything was falling into their right places. Denver accepted him as his father, he and Dalmi were fine...and they’re gonna sleep on the same roof tonight. The kid just said that he didn’t like it in front of Carden, now that he was gone, he was searching for it?“I thought you don’t like it? Chapter 137Dalmi’s jaw dropped when she saw how Denver put the spoon down and crossed his arms like a grown-up man. The kid, who obviously looked like he enjoyed the first two scoops when he was tasting it, now looked as though he had tasted the worst banana split he ever had.“I-is he serious?” She shifted her gaze towards Carden who just picked up the spoon and sat at the seat where Denver sat earlier. He picked a portion of the desert and acted as if she was now in front of him.“Carden! Aren’t you offended that your child didn’t like what you did?” she furrowed her brows. If her son was already weird, she already knew that he got it from his father. Instead of thinking as to why Denver had to walk out, he just eats the leftovers! She glared at him.“Why? Should I be sad that Denver walked out?”“Yes! He just said he doesn’t like it!” she retorted and crossed her arms.

I promise I will wash off every memory from that man until he accepts me as his father.”That
