Chapter Thirty-seven

Caden’s POV

I woke up with a sinking feeling in my chest, the weight of Kendall’s disappearance had made my mind heavy with thoughts. Entering her room to tell her would be going to lead the search for her myself today, my fears had been confirmed – the bed was empty.

There was no sign of her in the bathroom either. A heavy sigh coming out of me, I realized where Kendall must have gone. Despite our conversation last night, she had made up her mind to go back to Declan.

I couldn’t blame her entirely – their bond seemed unbreakable, despite the constant hatred between them. I clenched my fists in frustration, cursing myself for not being able to stop her from going to Declan.

Anger simmered beneath the surface as I thought about Olivia’s role in all of this. She was cunning, manipulating Declan’s emotions to her advantage. But deep down, I knew that Declan still cared for Kendall, no matter how hard he tried to hide it.
