"They don't need to lose their hands; they just don't know the truth," I said, worried that Gabriel might actually follow through on cutting off people's hands.

Gabriel can be funny, but when he's serious, he's really scary. As someone influential on both sides of the law, he's a powerful and feared figure.

"You think not knowing the truth gives them the right to hit you and curse at you? Look at you; you've been injured!" Gabriel yelled, looking angry.

One of his men approached and reported, "Boss, we caught everyone who attacked her. None of them escaped. What should we do next?"

They really did catch everyone. I glanced at Gabriel. Even though I was angry about being attacked, I knew it wasn't entirely their fault. The real problem was Margaret, who spread those rumors online.

It's clear Margaret is behind this, and she's the one I need to deal with. As for the attackers, they were likely paid by Margaret or were just angry netizens. Punishing them won't solve anything.
