Sasha’s POV

My mouth was full of food, and my bowl was mostly packed with meat.

I might look small and thin, but when it comes to eating, I don’t hold back.

Valentino watched me, and there was this look in his eyes, like he cared about me, though he probably didn’t realize it.

Watching me eat seemed to make him happy, and his mood improved just by looking at me.

“Good, right?” he asked.

“So good, so good!” I said, feeling excited.

But then, I ate too fast and burned my mouth. I winced from the pain.

“You okay?” Valentino asked, quickly standing up. He moved closer to me, pressing me to check where I had burned myself.

“I’m fine, really, just a little hot,” I hurried to explain, waving my hand. “You should eat too, don’t worry about me!”

“No, let me check,” he insisted. He held me still and squatted down, looking at my mouth. The corner of my lips was red from the burn, but it didn’t seem too bad.

As he stared at my lips, something changed in his expression, and suddenly, he kissed me.
