Liana's POV

I took in a deep breath despite the way that my heart had juddered in my chest. Different thoughts ran through my head and the only thing that I wanted was to escape that moment that I had found myself in.

Conan stood behind me and his scent wafted through my nostrils, soothing the inside of me before placing my hands on the doorknob and pushing the door to the interrogation room open.

As soon as I stepped foot into the room, Kayla jumped to her feet but she soon slumped back to the chair as soon as she caught sight of Conan who sauntered behind me with a smile creeping at the corner of his lips.

Kayla glanced back and forth between me and him before she spoke. "Honestly, Liana, was it necessary to let him know that I am here? You could have just told me that you were going to be bringing him along and I wouldn't have bothered showing face in the interrogation room at all" She said, not taking her eyes off him as she glowered at him in anger.
