“Wake up pretty.” Rough fingers poked my head.

I hadn’t been asleep. It had been so dark I had to close my eyes and pretend that was the reason why I was in the dark. Because I closed my eyes.

I opened my eyes to see a little light in the car, it was low and blue. I couldn’t see around clearly.

“Emily, I have a proposition for you.” He began.

I cut him off, “And I want to see my husband.”

“It doesn’t work that way, sweetheart.” He murmured, moving closer to me. I shrank away from his touch. “Now my proposition. Not too far from here is a purple warm room, as pretty as you and very comfortable. Do you want to spend your time with me in it or you’d prefer this car?” He baited.

It was a bait, “Why?” I asked.

“You’ll have to promise me that you’ll be obedient.” He said smiling, his eyes dilating like a man on drugs.
