69: Lies That Blinds

Liam’s POV

Standing in front of Avery’s door, I suddenly recalled everything that happened yesterday when she returned from my grandmother's house.

My heart kept thumping loudly in my chest while Avery climbed the stairs, I felt intense guilt for the first time in a long while. She was in severe pain I could tell from the look in her eyes, it seemed like I suddenly realized everything I had been doing to Avery.

The sad thing was I could not take any of it back and now Laura is ready to do anything to stay in my life, it's quite obvious she would not hesitate to tell the truth about my background.

Sighing I slumped on the sofa, my head was slowly spinning. Earlier today, the private detective whom I contracted with emailed me informing me about the dead end in his recent search around the hospital.

This was so bad, the one reason why Avery decided to sign the contract without looking back. I failed to take good care of her. How terrible can I be? I was still deep in thoughts,
