46: Searching For Answers

Avery’s POV

There was a soft knock on my room door, I stirred in my sleep as my eyelids flickered open. Emma Addams walked into the room holding a tray containing a cup of spearmint tea, with a smile on her face, “How do you feel now?” she inquired calmly.

I tried to sit up while pulling the covers over my stomach, “I feel a lot better after taking a nap. I'm sorry for giving you a scare earlier on the plane, it's been so long since I last went on a trip, so this was all new for my body to take.” I said feeling guilty for making her panic.

Recalling how Emma rushed into the restroom on the plane to check on me, she must have been afraid when I ran into the restroom.

It was hard for me to stay still, so Emma helped me while I sat down behind, but then I caught Jamal stealing glances at me, but he refused to say a word to me.

It felt hurtful, knowing how caring Jamal always behaved whenever I fell sick or had a hard time. My temperature suddenly increased as we moved towards the resort
