CHAPTER 8---------ELECTRICITY

In two different rooms, different events were happening. Secrets were getting revealed and suspicions were being awakened. But there was only one room that was paid close attention to. The strange figure that laid against the door suddenly disappeared immediately it heard footsteps from the other side. Now he was sure. Now he knew what to do.

It was a Sunday. Most families go to Church on Sundays but Ramona's didn't. They weren't such a religious family. They preferred doing their own stuff inside.

Ramona groaned and rolled on her bed as she tried to force sleep on her. "Ugh!" She screamed into the pillow. Ramona tugged at her hair then sat up against the headboard. All her aunt had told her yesterday was replaying in her head over and over again. Her hands found the crystal shiny pendant around her neck and she rubbed it.

"The earring is meant to awaken your powers. The pendant is something passed down from generations. It helps to control and grow your powers. But that doesn't mean the earring is useless." Aunt Farah had explained. Ramona fingered the pendant and sighed.

"I have to get up." She muttered, standing up. Her phone chimed indicating an incoming message. She picked it up and smiled a bit at seeing who had texted. Ramona placed her phone back on the bedside table then went to have her shower.

Ramona stepped into the bathtub and slowly sunk into it, letting the warmness of the water engulf her. She sighed in ecstasy as she played around with the water.

"So I'm a magic Princess, huh? Queen, rather. I'm the Queen of Xantoria." She murmured as she played with the water. She kicked her head back and allowed herself to enjoy the rest of her shower. Stepping out of the bathroom some minutes later, Ramona didn't expect to see Dimitri walking around in her room.

"Ahh! The fuck are you doing here?" She yelled, wrapping the towel tighter around her chest. The towel stopped just under her butt. Her fair skin had already turned into a light shade of red.

"I— i— I didn't know you would come out. Your aunt said I should call you then I got caught up with your room and I-ugh!" Dimitri tried to explain but ended with a groan. He was still facing Ramona and his hungry gaze swept over her body. He swallowed and his Adam's apple bobbed. Something Ramona didn't fail to notice.

"Turn around then! Why are you still staring? You know what; leave!" Ramona yelled, lightly. Her head doped slightly and she clenched her jaw. She couldn't show him the effect he had on her. She had a boyfriend for fuck's sake! Dimitri scurried out of the room and slammed the door shut after him.

Ramona let out a huff and placed her hands on her head. "I swear I'll be needing a heavy dose of Aspirin."

Maha and Aiden were staring intently at Dimitri. They were all gathered at the dining table and we're currently having their brunch. The kids' eye occasionally darted to their mother before flying back to Dimitri. Everyone at the table noticed this weird behavior but they all shrugged it off. The atmosphere was still weird between Dimitri and Ramona.

After brunch, Maha pulled Aiden aside and they discussed their next course of action.

"If he's our daddy, we need to bring him and mummy together." Maha said, stroking her chin. Aiden squinted his eye as he stared at Dimitri.

"He is our daddy. But how do we bring him and mummy together?" He asked. Even he couldn't think of a way they could bring their parents together.

"I know someone who can help." Maha said, attempting to smirk but she looked constipated.

"Who?"

"Aunt Jules." and then Aiden groaned.

While the kids were having their little meeting, Farah and Ramona were having their own secret discussion.

"Now that you know everything, it's time to train. I'm sure Batista knows the truth and is looking for you. You need to learn spells and everything magic. I also need to prep you for Royalty." Farah explained as she led Ramona into a hidden room in the house. She pressed a button that looked like a light switch and immediately, they descended down. Ramona screamed the whole way. When they finally reached their destination, Farah was still standing and looked unaffected while Ramona looked pale and she was holding her chest.

"Give me a little warning next time, dear aunt."She gasped out. Farah dragged her to the middle of the room and her mouth widened in awe.

"Here." Farah said, throwing a heavy book to Ramona. Ramona caught in just I time before it hit her face. "You might be my Queen but when it comes to teaching you, I'm at the top."

"Yes, ma'am." Ramona giggled out as she did a small salute. Farah rolled her eyes and ordered, "Start reading."

Ramona flipped open the book and her eyes drooped to show her tiredness. She hadn't slept the last night and now the sight of this big book made her even sleepier. Farah shook her head and then used a freeze spell to increase the coldness in the room.

"I'll see how you sleep in a weather this chilly. Get to learning." Farah ordered, hitting her stick right in front of Ramona. Ramona moaned softly and began studying the book.

Some hours later, Ramona's phone tanga and she glanced at Farah with pleading eyes.

"Please, aunt. It might be important." Ramona pleaded, meeting her aunts glaring eyes. Farah glared t her for a moment then nodded. Ramona picked up the phone and her eyes widened slightly.

"Fuck!" She mumbled as she hung up and flung the book. "Aunt, I forgot to tell you. Danny said he'd come today and he's already on his way. I haven't even prepared anything. Please."

"Fine. Go. I'll come help in a minute." Farah replied, pushing her away. Ramona ran out of the room and informed John about Danny's coming.

A hour later, dinner was ready and Danny had just stepped into the house. He looked around as he tried to subtly spot the so called guest.

"Aunt Farah! Uncle John!" He greeted. Farah nodded slowly and John smiled. As they sat down at the table, a strong male voice was heard from upstairs.

"So you're asking me if I think your mother is beautiful?" Dimitri chuckled as he came into the kitchen with Maha in his arms. Maha nodded at him and he smirked, his eyes connecting with Ramona's. He was yet to notice Danny and Ramona didn't want any problems so she immediately stopped him before he said something silly.

"Dimitri, meet my boyfriend, Danny. Danny, Dimitri." Ramona introduced. Dimitri's eyes looked Danny over the turned away.

"Maha, don't you miss me?'" Danny asked, holding out his hand for her. Maha smiled and ignored him, clinging onto Dimitri. A faint smirk could be seen in both Aiden and Dimitri's faces. Ramona shook her head and muttered,

' This is going to be a long night.'

30 minutes later, Danny stood up and announced that he would be leaving. Ramona stood up too so she could escort him out.

"So that's the guest." he stated . Ramona nodded and he looked deep in thought. "I don't like him. You remember ow it took me months to get Maha and Aiden to like me but within a few days he has them wrapped around his finger. It must be a spell."

Ramona chuckled a bit and joked, "Jealous, are we, Danny?" Danny's ears went red from either embarrassment or anger, Ramona didn't know. He clenched his fists and muttered goodbye abruptly then drove away in his bike.

"It was just a joke. Grumpy ass." Ramona murmured then went back in. She decided to check on Dimitri and when she pushed open his door, she met him clutching his tummy and blood was seeping through his shirt. She gasped and then went to get the first aid box.

"What happened?" She asked, panicking. Dimitri kept quiet as he watched her pull his shirt and start dressing his wound. It was only when Ramona was done that she felt the heated gaze of Dimitri upon her. She looked up at his eyes and gulped at seeing how dark they had become. Her finger trailed against his abdomen slowly and she bit her lip, unconsciously. Dimitri groaned softly and tried to sit up. Ramona snapped out of it and immediately stood up.

"Uhm, I'll go now. Goodnight." She muttered, coughing. As she turned around to leave, a hand grabbed hers and a small jolt of electricity ran through her veins. The person growled out a sinister two letter word.

"No."
