COLE’S POV

I couldn't help but notice Carlos's expression as Evelyn walked in. I don't blame him; Evelyn was breathtakingly beautiful. But I quickly brought my attention back to the matter at hand.

"Evelyn, thank you for bringing lunch. I appreciate it. But we're in the middle of a business meeting right now, so I can't show you around," I said firmly, trying to ignore the seductive way she was looking at me.

I couldn't help but notice how Evelyn was standing so close to me, and how her breath smelled like roses. She was a sight to behold, but I couldn't let my guard down. I knew what she was up to, and I couldn't afford to let my marriage slip away.

"Thanks for bringing the food, Evelyn," I said, trying to sound polite, but stern.

Evelyn smiled coyly and looked at Carlos, who was clearly taken aback by her beauty.

"It's my pleasure, Cole. I just thought I'd drop by and say hello to your friend here."

I cleared my throat and said, "This is Carlos, my business partner."
