44. Whatever it Was, She Was Happy

They sat there looking at each other and Denise knew that she could not just sit there looking at him all day long.

They were done with everything and all that was remaining was her telling Ansel why she had called him there.

She could not even make small talk because no matter how much she dragged the issue, she had to face it at the end of it all.

She knew that she couldn't use the excuse of lunch. And the way he looked, he was ready to camp there until she gave him an answer.

He didn't seem to be in any particular kind of hurry.

Ansel, on the other hand, decided to break the ice when he saw that she was having a hard time arranging her thoughts.

"Sooo... have you thought about my request? l admit I'm nervous to hear what you will say but eager at the same time," he said her and she swallowed and then nod her head.

She was ready to get it over with.

He looked at how nervous she was and his gut feeling was screaming at him that what he had been thinking about the past few days
