All at once, I heard the door swing open with a loud bang. My head jolted to face the direction where I heard the sound and saw, him. I though I had skipped a beat just when I saw his eyes turn full black, meaning his alpha wolf might just take over his body any moment now. I gulped and felt as though he had burned my skin with his overly intense gaze.
I stood up straight immediately as I saw him glaring at my hand, which beta Drake was coincidentally holding at the time. Drake had abruptly let me go as though he had been zapped from electric shock.
The reason why he was holdin mg my hands was because he had just helped me get the handcuffs off of my wrists. But it just had to be the same time when Alpha Damien decided to suddenly barge straight into the room.

CATHERINE's POV I woke up from a dream. A nightmare where I was stranded in darkness. Far away from my home. Far away from my loved ones. I found myself hugging my knees in the dark, unable to see or hear anyone on earth where I came from. I was crying.
