Catherine’s POV:
The next morning, I woke up and found Damien was gone.
His covers were slightly messed up, as traces of him getting out of bed were left there for me to see. I touched the empty space he lied on and noticed it was still warm. That means he just got himself out of bed before I woke up.
I glanced at the wall clock, and frowned when I saw it was already nine-thirty in the morning. I quickly got up, and headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
After I was done preparing and changing into clean clothes for the day, I went my way down the staircase.
My stomach was grumbling so bad, and realized I haven’t eaten at all last night because of that incident. It instantly made me lose my and the baby’s appetite when I saw Damien kissing that girl like he did me.
Seeing them that way somehow made me all queasy deep inside, pulling
Catherine's POV: "I've been thinking, and wondering. When you rejected me and after I accepted your rejection, something happened to me. I thought it was just because of the pain from the unfortunate events that happened between us, but it turns out to be something else. My heart kept on beating intensely everytime I show myself to people in this pack, especially Demiana." He explained. Wait, did he just say Demiana? Damien's older sister? My ears perked up as I suddenly felt the feeling of excitement rush through me when I heard him say her name. "Go on," I urged him, listening attentively as I leaned in closer to him, and he did the same. We put down our egg sandwiches before we spoke further about his situation. "That day, when I regained my consciousness, I woke up and saw Demiana sleeping by my side. I don't know why, but I felt really weird, like my heart co
Alpha Damien’s POV: Catherine was sleeping peacefully on her side of the bed, and I didn’t want her to wake up just yet seeing the dark eye bags under those emerald green eyes. She looked like she really needed her sleep, so I let her. It’s currently eight-thirty in the morning, and I feel like a douche lying here wide-eyed while starting at Catherine’s sleeping face. Anyways, I wanted to gaze at her beautiful face a little bit more before going down to make her breakfast on bed. I reached my hand out in front of her and waved my hand at her eyes, testing whether she was still awake or still in a deep sleep after a long trip from her
Samantha’s POV: I followed Damien to wherever he was planning to go as he wasn’t listening to anything I’m saying beside him. He seemed focused on something. I guessed it was the werewolf scent type of sh*t he’s smelling, but no matter what it is it better not be his so-called mate again. I groaned to myself, thinking that it probably is, because I’ve never seen Damien this focused before. I was about to say something when Damien suddenly stopped me by raising one finger to cover my lips. I pursed my lips at his touch and blushed slightly, although his eyes were focused on something else. “Ssh.. I heard something.” Damien said while turning his head around as though finding a scent or track to follow. In the end, we were headed to the small garden, and on the wooden bench near the fountain I spotted that Catherine talking and laughing aloud with Drake. I squinted my eyes at them, then back at Damien. Drake. Seriously? The beta? Damien looks furious. His eyes are turning black, a
Dallas’ POV: I almost dropped my jaw to the ground when I saw the call ID on my phone screen. To be honest, I don't really need a cellphone since I am a werewolf, and werewolves use their ability to mind link rather than type in a cell phone phone screen or dial numbers to call people somewhere else that is just within our reach. However, I have been keeping it for a while now, ever since that girl disappeared right under our noses. Samantha.. The sound of her name sent electric shock waves through my body as I pressed the green button on my screen to answer. I gulped, and at first, I was unable to say anything. But I straightened up and got to my act in order to conceal everything I was feeling at the moment. She doesn’t have to know how much she affected me in so many different ways, even when she was with Damien. “Dallas.” S
Catherine’s POV: I mentally rolled my eyes seeing Damien act so innocent right after I just saw her with Samantha having fun together in the kitchen. “Maybe we should ask Damien first, like I said. It's not good to be jumping into conclusions now is it?” Raya said softly in her twenty-third attempt to make me demand for explanations on that particular scene. ’Even if I did, I’m afraid Damien will just disappoint me more.’ I replied. ’And that will mean us getting hurt for the nth time because of these two who are obviously getting back together after five years. Can you believe that? Our fated mate actually waited for another girl for five years, and he waited for us to come in only like what, a day?’ Midnight made a point. Damien did wait for that woman to return in a long pe
Alpha Damien's POV: I thought I already told Drake to send Samantha home. I furrowed my brows as I listened to Sam’s voice. There is no doubt about it. It’s really her. But how does she do it? "Meet me in my room now, I have something to tell you.” After she said those words, she quickly blocked me and all could hear is an eerie silence, which meant that she has already dropped the mindlink. I stood in my room frozen, astounded by the fact that Sam had just mind linked with me, a human. Only werewolves could have such abilities, so how on earth did was she able to do it? I need to know. I turned around peering at my mate, sleeping peacefully on my bed. She has circles under her eyes and she looks awfully stressed. My mate has truly gone through a lot, and now that she’s pregnant, she must have bee
Alpha Damien's POV: I woke up one hour after midnight lying on a bed. My head was still in a haze, and my vision a blur. I couldn't figure out what happened last night nor can I remember exactly the events that transpired right after I passed out. What was more annoying to me was that when I tried to move, I felt my pants had slipped out from my body unknowingly. I gritted my teeth, mentally swearing that I'd crash bones and skulls in about a minute if I find out who did this to me. The humiliation, indignity, and most importantly the betrayal. Grunting as my head still hurt, I held the back of my head and started massaging it in an attempt to ease the nauseating feeling I kept having in my dreams. When I finally opened my eyes, I blinked twenty to thirty times before I realized that I was still inside Sam's room. Before that, however, I remember I came here to demand something of her, but I can't seem to recall exactly
Alpha Damien's POV: The sun has arised, but I refuse to get up as I gaze upon my pregnant mate sleeping peacefully on my bed. I was stroking her face gently and tracing her eyebrows, nose, lips, and cheekbones carefully just so I could always remember this time with her. My conscience kept bugging me ever since I left my ex's room fully clothed after being half-naked on a bed with someone else, and thereafter causing a feeling of guilt and regret completely wash over my entire body as I stared at my mate's innocent face without blinking. She's carrying my child, yet what have I done? I have betrayed her. I betrayed our bond. I betrayed the fates. And I betrayed the Moon Goddess even if one might say it happened against my will. It still...happened, without me knowing exactly how and why it turned out like that. Sure enough, I was happy that Sam was alive and not as I initially thought, dead. She seems to have been living well for the past five

NARRATOR Catherine woke up feeling Damien's arm laying freely on her waist. She did not want to wake him up with her moving around so she stayed. Damien's face was now clean and smelled like fresh shower. But the damage of the wolfsbane had extremely damaged his sight forever, making it impossible for him to ever see again. This made Catherine's heart crumble. However she thought that if this was the price they had to pay to be together again, she would make it all worth it. She would help Damien get back on his feet. She would feed him until Damien leanrs how to feed himself. She will bathe together with him every day so that he knows he is never alone and that Catherine is there to guide him all the way. She would make him see all of her through the other senses he had not lost. Let his fingers trace every inch of her so he will remember the lines and curves of her body that craved so long for his touch. His embrace. The feel of his skin brushing against hers. The heavenly
CATHERINE's POV I woke up from a dream. A nightmare where I was stranded in darkness. Far away from my home. Far away from my loved ones. I found myself hugging my knees in the dark, unable to see or hear anyone on earth where I came from. I was crying. Crying so hard and loud yet no one seemed to have heard me sob and scream and grunt and cry. The place I found myself thrown into after feeling my last breath disappear into the wind, was starting to cave in on me and I was horrified. Is this the end? I waited for what felt like forever in this dark hole of abyss. All of a sudden, I caught two bundles of light that were coming forward towards me from the corner of my eye.
DAMIEN'S POVThat was the last bit of strength I had within me which I sacrificed to save my only son. I don't care how weak my body gets, or even how much I bleed from the corners of my eyes, or how I can't seem to see anything but darkness all around me. What matters most was that they're safe. I felt my head being settled ln something really soft and warm.Hercules purs and we closed our eyes to rest. But seconds after I heard gunshot. My ears rang as it was too close to where I was. Catherine's scent. I sniffed the air. My eyes grew wide when I smelled her scent blended with that of gunpowder. Was she shot?!At that moment I forced my body to rise. Get up and help my mate. But I couldn't. I can't see a damn thing after Sam gave th
CATHERINE'S POVI let Samantha's lifeless head drop down to the cold tiled floor, motionless. Furious for what she had done to my mate and our family, I let my fangs sink into her head, only deeper and more sharp. Her body that was just standing straight up not too long ago was now lying on the floor with a missing head. Soon her unmoving body was surrounded with a pool of her own vile blood. Her hand was stretched out, releasing the syringe she had used to inject Damien's eyes which was rolling on the floor, empty. I squinted my eyes and the enhanced senses had allowed me to know exactly what it was. Wolfsbane. I growled, and my blood boiled in hatred and disgust.Damien's continuous groans and cries abruptly pulled me out of my raging state and made my wolves whimper at the sounds he was making. We then immediately rushed forward to his aid. Because his hands, neck and entire body were chained against the wall, he could not rub his eyes and can only scream out the agonizing pain. I p
CATHERINE'S POVMy wolves were seething in anger. I felt my claws and fangs descend as I watched Samantha step forward and closer to my mate."Wake up." She order Damien like some animal pet that she felt belong to her. Only, he isn't. Damien is my mate and never will be hers.Gritting my teeth, I turn to Demiana, reaching out to her and Drake through mindlink.'Why is she here? This will sabotage our plan!' I had told them.'We'll find another way, Cath.' was Demiana's reply.'We need to think of some way, to get him away from Samantha' Drake said, his eyes still fixed on Damien and Samantha on the other side.
CATHERINE'S POVWe were in a closed room. Something like a storage room that we stumbled upon when we took a flight of stairs hidden on the floor. At first it was covered by the carpet but Drake spotted the markings and revealed a way."Are you sure this is going to work?" I ask Demiana. She didn't look at me but swinged her chanel bag to her side, bringing out some more of the clothes she packed earlier from the pack house. She had proposed we disguise as Samantha's close friends. That way we can get close to where Damien was without being caught. Well, hopefully."It will Catherine. It has to." Was her only reply.Sighing, I wore the tight leather pants and red sexy silk top before I slipped on the long b
DAMIEN'S POVHercules used to tell me to cling to hope. What is hope? Everything I have had been ripped away from me completely. I was once unyielding, unbeatable, indestructible. I was mighty strong and not even all the other alphas joined together could bring me down or make me kneel at their feet. One thing I didn't see coming, that meeting an innocent looking human girl like Samantha has cost me so much. My mate. My only son. My pack. Now I'm left with nothing but myself. I don't have anything and anyone in my pitiful life anymore. Not even my own wolf. I lost him after three years in this fucking shithole. I tried reaching for him, calling to him, but he never came back. Two years ago...I was chained to a large metal chair. My hands and knees were forced down and locked so that I wouldn't be able to get up. Ffight back. Maybe do something other than blink and let out low growls that weren't helpful either wa
LILITH's POVCharlie suddenly closed his book right after his mom exited the room. He then brought out a photo hidden under the small couch and I lean over to look at it.My eyes widened the moment I saw who he was looking at in the picture."Do you know him, Lily?" I frowned as he called me with that name again. Apparently he liked the sound of it rather than my real name, Lilith. He preferred it short and simple to speak.I press my lips together and stare at the curious lad.Should I tell him? Oh no, what if Luna Catherine didn't want me to?"Have you asked your mom that?"Charlie shakes his head, dropping his gaze
