Diana came after her child and hugged my husband; I stood there, unsure what to do but watch. I could not stand there any longer, so I grabbed my phone from the table and went up to my bedroom. Lucas pursued me."B"Baby, let me explain."He said those same words to me. What explanation would be allowing him to make more excuses? Lucas and I have been married for two years, and I had no idea he had a child with another woman. "There is no need! I do not want to hear it. I interrupted him from explaining... I grabbed my towel from the table and went to the bathroom to change. I was done, and when I returned to the room, Diana was seated on my matrimonial bed instead of Luca. "What are you doing here?" I first placed the towel in the laundry basket and turned around to face her. Diana smiled and even pressed her weight against the bed. What the hell is she doing, and why?.. "Anna, I would like to thank you..." She stopped. "What are you thanking me for?" I questioned her. "For caring for my child's father, and now that I am here, I will take it on." She openly discussed taking over my role as Lucas' wife. Her bravery was admirable, so I laughed and said... "You can not be serious...... "Do you think I will leave my husband for you and your child?" I moved closer and asked, "How certain are we that your daughter is my husband's?". Diana chose the offence. She stood up angrily and raised her hand to whack me, but my husband walked in and stopped her hand from reaching my face. "Have you gone insane?" He frowned vehemently... "Mad? Baby!!?". She addressed Lucas only to be rebuked by him... "Do not call me baby; I am not your child." He dragged her to the door, saying, "Get out and do not let me see your face." He opened the door and motioned for her to exit... Diana looked at me with resentment as she exited the room. She must despise and hate me even more after the humiliation. So what do I care? She entered my bedroom without permission, and she was begging to be humiliated by either me or the man she claims is her child's father. "I am sorry about that, Anna"... After sending Diana away, Lucas returned to me and apologized for what had occurred.... I did not say anything and just went to bed. What else can I say, and it does not matter that after expressing my feelings and anger, his baby mama and their child would magically leave or better yet disappear... The next morning, I awoke with my head about to explode. I came down to the kitchen to get a glass of water, only to find that the kitchen doors had been padlocked. When I asked Lisa if she had locked the kitchen, she denied it, and the person I would least expect to be capable of doing so took a brave step, dangling the keys in front of me... "What is it?" I asked her, wondering what had given her the audacity to mess with my kitchen. "Anna! What are your thoughts?". After the giggling stopped, she said, "I am now in charge of the kitchen." She spoke as if Lucas had transferred all of his responsibilities to her, perhaps as his wife.... Lucas became enraged when he heard the news and came down to confront Diana. He ordered her to give him the keys, but Diana refused... "No? I will not open the kitchen until you give me the right to be your child's mother." Diana demanded her rights as their child's birth mother... "Fine! But why did you need to lock the kitchen doors?". Lucas kept his anger under control as he asked her. Diana took a glance at me before responding to Lucas' question. "I do not want Anna to go in there." She brought up my name. "Really? "She is my wife. Lucas said... "Okay, but I do not see her giving you any children; is there anyone?" She responded, mocking me in the process... Lucas rebuked her again, thinking it was hurtful to hear her say how lucky she was to be giving my husband a child, but there was truth in her words. Lucas and I have been married for two years, and despite our not-so-great sex, I have never gotten pregnant, not even a miscarriage. I never expected to say this, but I really need to get myself and Lucas checked. The debate took longer than expected, and Diana was bribed to open the kitchen door with shopping for herself and her child. Lisa took them to prepare, and I walked into the kitchen to make the warm water for tea. I turned my head to see my husband standing in front of me, his face sad, as if he had killed someone. His phone rang before he could say anything, and he had to leave for work; Diana and her child had only returned home yesterday, and she now expects everything to be done according to her wishes. "Ma'am, what would you like for breakfast?... Lisa eventually walks into my bedroom and asks me... "I do not know." Why do not you ask Diana?" I said gruffly to her. Lisa growled and replied to my statement. "I am sorry, ma'am, but do not worry, the doctor will determine whether or not the child is my boss." I was informed of the arrival of the family doctor; Lucas must have called him to avoid a checkup on Diana's daughter. It was evening when the doctor arrived to collect samples of Diana's daughter's blood. Diana sat her child on her lap while the doctor took some of her blood with the syringe... She was later given candy as a reward for her good behavior. "Doctor, when will the test be out? .. My husband was already at home from work when he asked the doctor. "In three days, I will send you the outcome." The doctor responded to my husband. Three days is far too long to be kept in the dark, and what if the little girl is my husband's child? What will I do?.... Lucas and the doctor walked to his car outside, and as I turned to leave, Diana stopped me. "What?". I frowned. "Nothing serious". She giggled, and whenever she laughs, it is either because she wants to say something or because she enjoys spitting on me. "Then what did you... want?" I emphasized my last word as she arranged her hair and said, "I want to inform you that your days here are numbered, because in three days, I will not be moving into my husband's bedroom, but I will also become the new madam of this mansion, and you will be gone." She threatened to take me away from everything and everyone I knew. The joy on her face was unimaginable as she threatened to expel me from my husband's mansion... "Is everything fine?" Lucas walked inside the mansion as he saw me and Diana talking so close together. His eyes scanned our faces, tensed as if we were about to have another argument; however, as much as Diana keeps getting in my way, I will not stoop so low as to fight with her. "We are fine," Diana said before I could respond. She realized I was standing there and decided to put his hand on his shoulder as he walked him to his room... Diana is gradually taking control of my home, and soon it will be my husband... When I returned to my room, Lucas was on the phone, but he disconnected it as soon as I walked through the door... "Hi, could we talk?" He flipped his phone upside down. "Talk about what?" I was on my way to the bathroom door when I turned and confronted him. "What else? About Us. He said something. "I am sorry for everything that has happened; please forgive me." He folded his hands, asking for my forgiveness... I have never seen Lucas as someone who would have a child outside with another woman, so why do I feel like my heart is broken in two?... "It is okay; I will go change." I told him as I rode into the bathroom.
