Chapter ten: Four years of hate

Ember

"I thought you were going to a party." I asked Clara who was now walking to where I was with that same astonishment on her face.

"I should be asking you that, oh... Wait, now I understand, but you should've told me that you're refusing to come with me because you're actually coming with a date."

My brow furrowed as I tried to make sense of Clara's words. I replayed our conversation in my head, I didn't tell her about a date, in fact I don't have any date, and I'm not even attending the party so what...?

"I didn't have a date, and this is the hotel where I'm staying for the time being." I pointed out as she exclaimed loudly, "oh."

Then her face suddenly switched, the confusion written off her face was gone, now replaced by her brightened face staring at me as she said, "That's great! This is actually the party, since you're here, I'm sure you can have a brief glance at the party, you can just show up with me for a few minutes before going back, I promise it's going to be fun."

Hello, this is christine Hannah (Dew_CH) So this is my first book here, and I'm pretty excited about this. And thank you for following this book thus far. I promise to make this a quick, yet interesting read. Well, I should've said this in chapter six which was incredibly long, yeah, I had to summarize it and put it into a single chapter to avoid confusion and to clarify how she ended back in Arizona. Thank you for following my book.
