While Gwen had dozed off into sleep, Odessa stayed awake, not looking from the burning pack till there was nothing but ashes and white smoke floating into the sky.Odessa sighed. "Rest in peace Grandma, thank you for taking care of me when I was abandoned by my parents, thank you for giving me a new life," She ducked her head, feeling gratified and a bit of remorse for the first time in her life.Suddenly, her sensitive ears caught the sound of paws thudding on the forest ground. Odessa immediately turned to Gwen, tugging her awake. Gwen stirred awake. "What is it?""Something is coming, we need to hide!"Gwen scrambled to her feet and grabbed Odessa's wrist, getting away from the obvious spot and hiding behind bushes and concealing their scents."Do you think it's the rogues that attacked our pack?" Gwen wondered in a hushed tone. "I don't think so," Odessa responded and they fixed their gazes on the center of their pack where the paws were headed. Patiently they waited and soon, m
Gwen and Odessa lost count of how many days had passed since they remained in that dirty cell, unattended and forgotten, left famished and thirsty."I can't believe we are going to die like this," Odessa sneered at the absurdity from where she rested against the wall while Gwen was on the other side. Gwen was almost sure she would pass out soon till that lemony scent punctured her nostrils. Suddenly, her idle wolf was on her paws, sifting and sniffing the whereabouts of that scent."Emil..." She whispered, getting off the floor and not bothering to dust the dirt off her pants as she went towards the bar, waiting for the rustling footsteps to get closer and when they finally emerged from the dark, Gwen's breath was knocked off her lungs as her gaze instantly locked with those midnight blue orbs but darker, staring back at her.Gwen didn't notice the other people that approached their cell, her gaze fixed on her mate, lips parted in shock while he stood there with an unwavering gaze.
Sluggishly, Gwen tailed behind Odessa's back as they shadowed Fedora, escorting them down the hall, passing numerous doors till they eventually paused in front of a particular one."This will be your room from now on," She enlightened while nudging the door open and they strode in, coming to a halt again as they looked around the room with blue wall painting, two large beds at both edges of the wall, a dress, a door leading to the bathroom and a blue rug at the middle of the room. "I will have someone bring in a desk and chairs," she veered at them, sporting a vast smile. "I hope you girls will get comfortable," Her eyes inspected them over, noticing their rumpled clothes. "I will have someone bring in new clothes and when you are settled enough, we will take you to the pack mall, there you can pick whatever you want,""Thank you, Mrs. Fedora," Odessa gleamed."Alright, freshen up and come down for dinner," She verbalized and ambled out of the room.Odessa turned to Gwen, acknowledgin
Gwen and Odessa did not anticipate running into Oswald the minute they strode into the enormous pack house that was great enough for more than a hundred people. The she-wolves paused abruptly on their tracks and Gwen didn't fail to notice the way Odessa's breath hitched and the way her eyes dilated at the smirking face of the young Alpha."Hello ladies, fancy meeting you again," he winked, ranging off mellowing and energetic pheromones that were almost deceiving and comforting while a twinkle glistened in his eyes. "I didn't think I will be seeing you girls soon,""The Luna invited us," Gwen retorted when Odessa seemed like she had gotta struck on her feet and words solidified in her throat. Gwen took a peek at her friend, instantly spotting a faint blush on her cheeks and Gwen nearly gasped realizing it was the first time she had seen Odessa brighter than a tomato.Suddenly, suspicion surged in Gwen's heart at Odessa's odd behavior."Nice seeing you again. I will be in my room upstai
It was midnight as the clocks struck 12 and it was morose. The moon was barely seen as it was concealed by the tenebrific clouds and with no sign of a single star. It was swarthy. Sluggishly, she stepped out from behind the tall timbers of the shadowy and wet forest, a hood over her head while her cloak blended with the night.Ahead of her was an illuminating sight as each house boomed with light while the street crammed with the pack members roared with cheerfulness under such a dark moon. Under her hood, she smirked and her green eyes glistened darkly."It's time to collect," She uttered into the dark and with a spin, she vanished into the darkness as if she was never there.*~*Alpha Vaughan, the man with an iron fist ruled the Escolar pack. He was known for his bulky and mighty appearance and his harsh yet gentle way of ruling his people. He was a man who took defeat seriously. Imagine his shock at the smirking face of the witch in front of him, cutting through his leisure as the
In a sprint, a month had passed since Gwen and Odessa arrived in Black Fur pack and finally, they had gotten a new sense of home since the pack members were more than welcoming, especially Luna Yaletha.Gwen felt out of place as she stared at the many she-wolves gathered in a massive training ground and there were more omegas than regular she-wolves."This is going to end badly for me," Gwen stated helplessly, recalling the continuous warning of her grandma to never shift into her wolf form in front of anyone unless it was a life-or-death situation. Though the old woman had never given her a valid reason, Gwen knew her Grandma meant well and wouldn't put her in danger. Gwen wouldn't have cared before but now it was a different story when everyone was flexing their wolf forms on the field. She couldn't refuse when the alpha suggested they should start training their inner wolves with other she-wolves."We can just lie about it," Odessa implied with a callous tone. "Whatever happens, d
Having a mate was the most essential part of being a werewolf and the goddess did well by blessing each wolf with a mate. Having a partner was precious, it was what made their wolves whole and brought light into their eyes. Everyone had a mate, well, everyone but Onyx, or she refused to acknowledge the fact that she had one. She was twenty-seven already, an omega wolf even though she didn't parade herself as one, what more was her plan other than being anti-romantic and mateless, training hard every day to suppress her urges and instincts as an Omega? She had been doing it for many years, and doing it for the rest of her life was nothing. The first thing Onyx noticed sauntering into her home was the drilling gazes of her family members, each with a partner hanged on their arm. She ignored them as she looked away and began heading toward her room."Onyx," Rapidly, the Omega paused but didn't turn to face her mother. She knew what she was going to say, it was almost too repetitive."T
Onyx brought Gwen to the pack house, placing her gently on a couch in one of the private areas of the massive mansion, and told her to wait while she went into to get a first aid box which Gwen believed she didn't need but Onyx had insisted.Stretching her leg, she gawked at her badly Injured leg, it was deep and it would leave a scar if not taken care of. A few minutes passed, and Gwen's ears perked at the sound of approaching steps but realized it wasn't Onyx's scent but a familiar one, and soon, Oswald showed up, instantly smirking at the sight of her. "Now I've found the one with the lovely scent," In a sprint, he was on the couch, taking hold of her hand and giving a kiss on the back of her palm before she could protest. Gwen gasped, instantly withdrawing her hand, wiping it as if it was etched with dirt.Oswald smirked, slightly crowding the she-wolf on the couch, and sniffed in her scent, his eyes flashing a slight red Gwen failed to notice as she placed her hand on his chest

Odessa let out a content sigh as she looked down at the dazzling pack on a high cliff. A smile graced her lips at how tiny it was from up here. It had been years yet it felt like days. Days since she and Gwen lost their first home, days since they started a new journey in Black Fur Pack, days since everything fell apart and they fell crumbled as well. Quilt? Odessa had learned to live with it because she knew it would never go away. It would always be there, lingering in her heart, reminding her of the mistake she made that cost the life of her best friend and the man she loved. Odessa had learned to live with that burden. Now she could only think back with a sad smile and wished she could turn back time but what was done was done and there was nothing she or anyone could do about it. Odessa sighed heavily with her shoulders dropping. She could only thank the goddess for giving her a new chance."Mom,"Odessa's shoulders tensed up and she looked behind her and there he stood, the o
Yarkona ran with all her might but she didn't go far as a wolf abruptly obstructed her path on the pack training ground. With a flip of her hand, the wolf soar across the field. "Filthy wolves!" She spat and galloped toward the forest but again, she hung back on her feet as Reuben and Evelyn came out from the woods."You have nowhere to run to witch!" Evelyn feud with a smirk as she cracked her knuckles.Yarkona jeered, lifting her palm that had a ball of shady energy. "I can take you out with ease,""Not on our watch!"Dashingly, Yarkona veered and there they were, Seth, Gwen, Ruel, Onyx, and their men, and lastly, Yarkona's eyes leveled on Raphael, the unrewarded child she raised. If it hadn't been her, he would have succumbed alongside his mother. Yarkona's eyes solidified and darkness enclosed her. They were all ungrateful and now, she would show them, suddenly, Yarkona was bored of running. Why not finish this once and for all? If she was going down, she would bring them with her
Odessa knew she'd be free of this monster inside of her soon, as well as the shackles around her wrist and ankle, and she knew she'd see her kid soon. It was only a matter of time, but she had no idea it would be this soon.Odessa cocked her head, peering at the kid who had just entered the little hut where she had been living for as long as she could remember. She slowly rose from the bed, and the chains made a loud noise on the floor. She noted the boy's familiar green eyes, how they boiled with tears, how his shoulders stiffened and his hands balled in tight fists.Odessa stood a foot away and didn't realize when the name slipped past her lips. "Raphael,"Raphael sobbed and wrapped his arms around Odessa, who remained still, trying to determine whether this was real or one of her numerous fantasies."Mom," Raphael sobbed on her shoulder.Odessa recovered from her fright and reached out to embrace her son. Her child! Odessa found herself wanting to scream with joy. Her kid was alive
"So, what do we have here?" Alpha Gallon grinned as he entered the dungeons, his gaze fixed on the victims. "It looks like your Alpha has abandoned you to your fate," he sneered. "You know it's so pleasant to watch you people like this, and soon, your alpha would join you or you'd join him in your graves," he grinned, then his gaze fell on Eloise and he looked in admiration. "So gorgeous like your mother," he said, stooping down to her level. He got ahead of himself and didn't realize the death daggers he was receiving as he reached out to touch her, but his wrist was snatched and he was hurled across the cell.Reuben surged to his feet, nearing the idiot Alpha who had deigned to touch his little sister in his presence, but before he could get any closer, he felt hands holding him back to find Alpha Gallon's men, he shook them off as if they were ants, but they were soon back on him, combating him to the floor."Get the hell away from him!" The girls leapt to their feet, but Alpha Gal
Two days letter, Raphael found himself back in the vaults, opening the cell his mate was kept in and trudging inside with a tray of food. Instantly, their heads jerked up to meet his, especially his mate who looked like she had seen an apparition.Raphael took his chances to get closer as he noticed Reuben was fast asleep. He squatted and hoisted the tray towards her."What are you doing??" Evelyn snarled and her aghast gaze swerved into a glare. "Aren't you hungry, you haven't eaten in a while," Raphael's tone came out meekly as he set his eyes only on his mate. It was like there was no one there except her.Evelyn sneered. "I rather starved to death than accept anything from you!"Hurt flashed in Raphael's eyes. "Why?"Evelyn gaped. Of all the idiots in the world, she was paired with the dumbest one! "You've got to be kidding me. Are you fucking blind, look what you freaking did to us and my home, you nearly killed my brother! go away now while Reuben is asleep!"Raphael looked ove
Onyx couldn't believe she was back in these shady and shitty dungeons. She couldn't believe she was back in the place she detested the most.Sitting there on the reformatory floor, Onyx held Daniel to her chest, making sure he was rehabilitating properly, Evelyn was clutching her arm and her head lounged on her mom's shoulder while Reuben sat at the corner, ogling at the floor with a vacuum gaze and Onyx didn't blame the boy. It was their fault for letting their guard down when they knew Yarkona was still out there and would strike anything. And just when Onyx thought it couldn't get any worst, the cell suddenly opened and Everleigh and Eloise were hurled inside.Eloise trotted to her brother's side while Everleigh came to her Mother and siblings.Onyx peered in apprehension. "What are you girls doing here? I thought I told you not to return, where is everyone else?!""We couldn't leave knowing you guys are here, we sent everyone to the hideout and returned," Everleigh retorted, reach
The loud hammering on Onyx's bedroom door made her scream. She rolled onto her back and nearly dismissed it, but the loud, terrified overflowing voices jolted him out of bed and he went to answer the door, only to discover Eloise with terror in her eyes."What's the matter, Eloise?" She seemed perplexed."WE ARE ATTACKED!" The girl wailed in terror, and Onyx became aware of the cries, loud echoes, and rushing footfall.Shit! How could she have missed this?"Let's go!" She grabbed Eloise's wrist and they hurried through the mansion's corridor and out of the home, and Onyx abruptly froze at the smoldering sight of houses and bodies.Onyx looked up in terror. "Not this time!" She screamed. "Quick! To the pack house!" She snarled, transforming into a wolf, and Eloise immediately followed, shifting into a white fur wolf and racing after her aunt toward the pack home, where the true commotion was. When Onyx arrived at the pack home, she saw it was under attack and immediate
"Another rogue attack, this is more critical than the last one. They are propagating in numbers," Seth sighed laying his back on his chair inside his office. He gazed up at Ruel who owned the chair at the other side of the table. "Rose Pack has always been an associate, since they are calling for assistance, we can't rescind them," Ruel indicated and Seth nodded."You are right, we can't abandon them, we should go to their pack right away,""But Dad, if you, Mom, Uncle, and Aunt Onyx are gone, who's going to look after the pack?" Reuben who has been standing at the side voiced out his thoughts.Seth grinned. "There's you,"The boy's eyes magnified for a brisk second. He cackled nervously. "But Dad, I-I-I don't think I can," being one of the future leaders, Reuben had always been pressured since the future Beta and Gamma were both 15 and hadn't even shifted yet and now, he was being given the responsibility of taking care of the pack alone. What if they abruptly get ambushed?"You sti
