“Stop, please stop!” An unbearable exclamation erupted out of her throat. Yarkona shrieked, puffing as she supported her back with both her hands. “I’m sorry, I can’t do this!” She screeched, stretching her back on a tree. With lachrymose eyes, she stared up at the murky sky with only but the moonlight brightening, almost glaring. So vast, so intense, Yarkona could almost feel it heckling her, fueling more resentment and bitterness inside of her chest as her sniveling gaze lingered on the moon.
“You better be watching, am going to make them all pay…” Another loud cry relinquished her throat, staved off her widened eyes over to her savior, Xenia, a sparkling redhead. “I think he’s coming!”
“Now!?” Xenia panicked, her grey eyes expanding as she wheeled on her feet, the withered leaves of the soil scraping below her feet. But as she stared around, she was met with nothing but a grove filled with trees. Luckily, they had crossed the border of the Black Fur pack without arousing the watch guards, with Yelatha’s help. Her body jerked when she heard an ear slipping scream, she turned to find Yarkona on the ground, legs widely parted, her breathings laboring with each passing second.
“HE’S COMING OUT!!!” Yarkona shrieked, throwing her head back at the fierce pain in her lower region.
“What am I going to do, I’ve never done this before!!” Xenia exclaimed, getting down between Yarkona’s legs in her large skirt.
“JUST PUSH IT OUT FROM ME!!!”
The night went on with the loud, panting clamors that surged and aggravated the serenity that once aboded.
Xenia tried not to panic but stayed focused on getting the baby out and beamed as the loud wail of the infant took over the screams that escaped Yarkona’s mouth. She grinned, bringing the bloody baby to her chest but her smile dropped as she stared down at the baby and stiffed, something was different in the blood, she soon gasped out when the realization finally hit her.
“He’s an Alpha!”
Yarkona remained quiet, her panting steadying a bit but her gaze was glued to the glaring moon above her. The ache in her heart and pains all over her body wasn’t enough to put out the fire that had consumed her soul, owning her wholly. This was only the beginning.
*~*
With nothing but hatred in her eyes, she watched as Yaletha shrieked on top of her lungs but it wasn’t anywhere close to when Yarkona had her son, lying in nothing but dry leaves in the middle of the night, letting the cold breeze of the night brush against her and her son, blood-stained with no heed, no tender, no herb to ameliorate the pain even for a minute, Yarkona remembered it all and as her lime green eyes stared at Yaletha, only hatred combusted in her chest.
No, Yarkona wasn’t just furious at her twin sister, she was equally malicious at the world, every being under the moon that watched her endure injustice with ecstasy in their eyes. A small smile crept to her facial expression as flashes of their dead bodies invaded her mind.
Finally, she averted her gaze down and stared at her infant, wrapped in a blanket but still covered in blood, it had only been an hour since she gave birth, she could still feel every joint in her body agonizing, she was still in her blood-stained clothes but she was here again, back to the same place she evaded from hours ago but with a different rationale, she wouldn’t be leaving without breeding a seed. Her evil smile widened as she continued to stare at her baby. He was only a step to her reprisal.
Her head jerked up when cries of a newborn erupted, Yarkona stared with mirth as the midwife announced. “We have an Alpha, it’s a boy!”
“I equally have an Alpha,” Yarkona whispered under her breath while Yaletha passed out from exhaustion. Silently, Yarkona followed the midwife out the room to another to wash the child and finally, Yarkona stepped out from the shadows, making the midwife jerk in fright as she turned.
“Luna?” Her voice came out puzzled.
Yarkona smirked, sauntering toward the frightened woman still holding her baby close to her chest.
“Oh, how blind can you be!” Yarkona continued to stare at the woman under her eyelashes but when the woman parted her lips to scream, Yarkona’s pupils flashed a deep shape of red and the woman froze in her place, it was like she was rooted, every muscle in her body froze. Yarkona smirked. Oh, how much she missed using her powers when she was pregnant, nothing could stop her now.
Yarkona ambled pass the rooted woman, towards the baby crib where the newly born Alpha of the Black Fur pack lay. She stared down at the baby, then at her son before leaning as she placed her son beside her sister’s child. A new thought took over her head for a moment as she stared at the two babies. Shaking her head, she picked up Yaletha’s baby and brought him close to her chest.
Turning, Yarkona faced the woman who could only watch with her eyes widened, unable to move or speak. Yarkona approached with deep glowing red pupils.
“You will recollect nothing”
Enthralled, the midwife nodded before Yarkona turned towards the door and vanished with the baby and also instantly, the poor midwife regained her senses and stared around in confusion but when her eyes landed on the baby on the crib, she beamed before picking him up, recalling nothing.

Again, Yarkona remained hidden in the shadows, watching as Yaletha stared fondly at the infant in her arms, smiling widely, gazing at it with fervor and contentment. Yarkona scoffed but never for once averted her gaze, she continued watching till Alpha Zahir waddled into the room and took his child out from Yaletha’s arms, noticing nothing out from the ordinary as he stared at his son.
“Have you thought of a name for our son?” Yaletha stared up at her mate, the father of her child, the man she fought for, going against those who loved her, and did she regret anything, no. It was the best decision she had ever made. A wanted witch like her had nothing in the world, she only wanted to secure her place and when time reaches and her secret was revealed, no havoc would come to her. After all, she was the luna and mother of the future Alpha of the world’s largest pack.
Alpha Zahir beamed fondly at his son. “He will be named after my father, Oswald. What do you think, dear?”
Yaletha returned the smile. “That’s a lovely name, Alpha. We will raise him to be a man just like your father,” she remarked.
Seeing enough, Yarkona finally vanished from the shadows, taking along the one thing that was most precious to her sister while leaving behind her own gem.
To be continued…!
«Two Years Later»Like an ordinary commoner, she ambled through the packhouse of the White Claw Pack like it was her home, carrying a silver tray with two golden chalices filled with wines. With an abrupt turn, she steered towards the main hall, her shady brown orbs stared ahead, filled with a twinkle of enthusiasm and a little spark of evil. When the doors opened, she didn’t balk as she strolled in and was met with loud energetic laughter coming from a group of people standing in the middle of the enormous hall. A tiny smile crept to her face as she saw a tiny boy crawling at the feet of his mother, tugging on her jean. She averted her gaze to a couple standing on the opposite side, a newborn baby spread out in the woman’s arms. A smirk tugged at the corner of her lips as she went to stand beside a fellow servant at the corner and watched, counting every second that passed, the clock tickling along with her plan.
Present Time..."Hurry up!!" A high-pitched tone nearly squealed in aggravation, finally coming to a stop beside a large tree. Reeling her head to the rushing sound of leaves and footsteps, she sighed, spotting her best friend from a rather far distance, blundering with a large basket of herb hanging over her shoulders.A tiny giggle erupted from her throat as she could hear the grumbling sound of her friend's demurral."Are you going to hurry up or not, am leaving you behind!" She yelled out, not bothering to secrete her smile while kneading her palms on her large brown trousers and a considerable cherubic shirt that was tucked into her pants while her legs were covered with a pair of worn-out raven boots."Well, I'm apologetic your highness, am the one carrying this bloody basket here!" A sarcastic voice retorted, lividity almost evident in her voice. With a sigh, Gwen rested her body
Gwen dragged her feet on the ground of the forest...It all started from the pit of her stomach as she hugged her arms around her stomach and slowly, it circulated to her heart and slowly she drowned. It felt like she had fallen into a cactus, and her heart had been punctured a million times over by tiny pins. Its sting, it throbbed, it ached at first but now it felt like she had gone numb. She wasn't bleeding but she felt like blood would come gushing out from her chest. Why did it hurt so bad?"Goddess, why is he so heavy?!" Odessa panted and sweated from behind, carrying the unconscious person over her back as they finally reached their destination, in front of a large treehouse.Gwen halted, staring up as the ray of the evening sun lit up and comfortably nestled in a small treehouse. It was a cube with a star-shaped window on the walls and a broken and rotted rope ladder suspended in midair above the branches.
An agonizing moan left his lips as he sluggishly regained consciousness. Slowly, his eyes fluttered opened but were welcomed with a blurred sight that cleared after a few blinks and he found himself staring at the trees that blocked the ray of sunlight from penetrating through his vision. He almost thought he was dead but the soft chirping of the birds, rustling of leaves was a reminder and the awful sting on both sides of his ribs brought him back to reality. He groaned again as a sharp pain shot through him from his injuries and a heavy throb from his head. He suddenly felt his vision spinning while he believed was because of the silver he was injured with.Wanting to bring his hand up to his forehead, a light gasp vacated his lips when he realized he couldn't move, his body was incapacitated, he couldn't shift a single muscle. He shut and opened his eyes, trying not to unnerve. What had happened to him after he has passed out because
Gwen disregarded the enthusiastic stare that permeated through her face as she changed his plaster and wrapped his wounds with a new bandage. She tried not to gleam at his intense gaze, she could vouch he hadn't looked away from her face since he woke up. She tried to ignore it but she couldn't help it when she glanced up and her breath instantly hooked as she found herself entangled in a pair of midnight blue orbs that made her heart hop a beat. She found herself enmeshed, unable to look away, sniffing his lemony and musky scene but when the other unpleasant scent reached her sense of smell, she immediately looked away realizing he could never be hers, not anymore. He already had a mate that he seemed to love more than his destined.Suddenly her mouth turned sour and her heart ached as reality hammered her to the ground. She moved away after helping him rest his back against a tree. She distanced herself."I will make you something th
Gwen strode out from the corner that was the little kitchen with a bowl of hot-raging spaghetti. She headed towards the portable round table where Gwen and her mate crouched on the small stools. He was robust enough to climb up the ladder after the silver quit taking effect.Gwen lay the bowl down in the middle of the round table and filled their plates with food before sitting beside Odessa, wanting to stay away from her mate as far as possible."This is all we have, hope you aren't royalty" Gwen addressed without glancing at him.He peered at his mate. "You have never asked for my name and it has been days since I regained consciousness "Gwen sough. "what's the point anyway, you will leave as soon as you heal properly, we will reject each other and we will never meet again""Rejection kills our wolves"In outrage, Gwen slammed her plate on the table and her fierce eyes met his. "If you cared, you would have never mated with another. Did you ever think of me before you dug your fang
"Gwen?" Odessa dubbed as she ambled around the little treehouse. She sniffed deeply, discovering she couldn't snag her friend's strawberry fragrance anyway. She shrugged. Then, her blue eyes went to the little furniture that stood in the middle of the space, her tongue running over her plump lips at the appetizing sight of roasted meat set on a bowl. Her mouth moistened as the aromatic scent broke through her sense of smell. Before she could help it, she rushed over to the little stool beside the table and sat herself down, leaning close as she sniffed in the aroma, this was so good.Odessa nodded, already cutting a piece off the meat but just when she was about to bring it to her mouth, her hand was clasped, and rapidly her head snapped up to be confronted with a pair of midnight blue orbs that somehow reminded her of a starless night. "What?" she snarled, yanking her hand out from his rather powerful grasp. Where did he come from? Earlier, Odessa was conclusive she didn't detect an
"Take off your shirt"Gwen urged, striding towards Emil who was on the little stool, his mouth gaping, a haughty thought going on in his head as he smirked and popped his elbow on the little table. "Why, you haven't seen enough of my body yet?"Gwen gave him a bizarre look before smacking him at the back of his."Ouch!""You idiot, take off your shirt, I need to check your wound. What in the name of the goddess is going on through that head of yours. It's probably filled with nothing appropriate" Gwen huffed and crossed her hands over her chest, managing to hold back the smile that threatened to spread across her lips as she watched a cute pout sported on his face before he slowly slipped off his shirt over his head and Gwen couldn't help the blush that stained his cheeks, her hazel eyes staring down at his well-build stomach and the abs that followed, she cleared her throat, tearing her gaze from the v line that ran straight into his pants."Stay still," She instructed, leaning down

Odessa let out a content sigh as she looked down at the dazzling pack on a high cliff. A smile graced her lips at how tiny it was from up here. It had been years yet it felt like days. Days since she and Gwen lost their first home, days since they started a new journey in Black Fur Pack, days since everything fell apart and they fell crumbled as well. Quilt? Odessa had learned to live with it because she knew it would never go away. It would always be there, lingering in her heart, reminding her of the mistake she made that cost the life of her best friend and the man she loved. Odessa had learned to live with that burden. Now she could only think back with a sad smile and wished she could turn back time but what was done was done and there was nothing she or anyone could do about it. Odessa sighed heavily with her shoulders dropping. She could only thank the goddess for giving her a new chance."Mom,"Odessa's shoulders tensed up and she looked behind her and there he stood, the o
Yarkona ran with all her might but she didn't go far as a wolf abruptly obstructed her path on the pack training ground. With a flip of her hand, the wolf soar across the field. "Filthy wolves!" She spat and galloped toward the forest but again, she hung back on her feet as Reuben and Evelyn came out from the woods."You have nowhere to run to witch!" Evelyn feud with a smirk as she cracked her knuckles.Yarkona jeered, lifting her palm that had a ball of shady energy. "I can take you out with ease,""Not on our watch!"Dashingly, Yarkona veered and there they were, Seth, Gwen, Ruel, Onyx, and their men, and lastly, Yarkona's eyes leveled on Raphael, the unrewarded child she raised. If it hadn't been her, he would have succumbed alongside his mother. Yarkona's eyes solidified and darkness enclosed her. They were all ungrateful and now, she would show them, suddenly, Yarkona was bored of running. Why not finish this once and for all? If she was going down, she would bring them with her
Odessa knew she'd be free of this monster inside of her soon, as well as the shackles around her wrist and ankle, and she knew she'd see her kid soon. It was only a matter of time, but she had no idea it would be this soon.Odessa cocked her head, peering at the kid who had just entered the little hut where she had been living for as long as she could remember. She slowly rose from the bed, and the chains made a loud noise on the floor. She noted the boy's familiar green eyes, how they boiled with tears, how his shoulders stiffened and his hands balled in tight fists.Odessa stood a foot away and didn't realize when the name slipped past her lips. "Raphael,"Raphael sobbed and wrapped his arms around Odessa, who remained still, trying to determine whether this was real or one of her numerous fantasies."Mom," Raphael sobbed on her shoulder.Odessa recovered from her fright and reached out to embrace her son. Her child! Odessa found herself wanting to scream with joy. Her kid was alive
"So, what do we have here?" Alpha Gallon grinned as he entered the dungeons, his gaze fixed on the victims. "It looks like your Alpha has abandoned you to your fate," he sneered. "You know it's so pleasant to watch you people like this, and soon, your alpha would join you or you'd join him in your graves," he grinned, then his gaze fell on Eloise and he looked in admiration. "So gorgeous like your mother," he said, stooping down to her level. He got ahead of himself and didn't realize the death daggers he was receiving as he reached out to touch her, but his wrist was snatched and he was hurled across the cell.Reuben surged to his feet, nearing the idiot Alpha who had deigned to touch his little sister in his presence, but before he could get any closer, he felt hands holding him back to find Alpha Gallon's men, he shook them off as if they were ants, but they were soon back on him, combating him to the floor."Get the hell away from him!" The girls leapt to their feet, but Alpha Gal
Two days letter, Raphael found himself back in the vaults, opening the cell his mate was kept in and trudging inside with a tray of food. Instantly, their heads jerked up to meet his, especially his mate who looked like she had seen an apparition.Raphael took his chances to get closer as he noticed Reuben was fast asleep. He squatted and hoisted the tray towards her."What are you doing??" Evelyn snarled and her aghast gaze swerved into a glare. "Aren't you hungry, you haven't eaten in a while," Raphael's tone came out meekly as he set his eyes only on his mate. It was like there was no one there except her.Evelyn sneered. "I rather starved to death than accept anything from you!"Hurt flashed in Raphael's eyes. "Why?"Evelyn gaped. Of all the idiots in the world, she was paired with the dumbest one! "You've got to be kidding me. Are you fucking blind, look what you freaking did to us and my home, you nearly killed my brother! go away now while Reuben is asleep!"Raphael looked ove
Onyx couldn't believe she was back in these shady and shitty dungeons. She couldn't believe she was back in the place she detested the most.Sitting there on the reformatory floor, Onyx held Daniel to her chest, making sure he was rehabilitating properly, Evelyn was clutching her arm and her head lounged on her mom's shoulder while Reuben sat at the corner, ogling at the floor with a vacuum gaze and Onyx didn't blame the boy. It was their fault for letting their guard down when they knew Yarkona was still out there and would strike anything. And just when Onyx thought it couldn't get any worst, the cell suddenly opened and Everleigh and Eloise were hurled inside.Eloise trotted to her brother's side while Everleigh came to her Mother and siblings.Onyx peered in apprehension. "What are you girls doing here? I thought I told you not to return, where is everyone else?!""We couldn't leave knowing you guys are here, we sent everyone to the hideout and returned," Everleigh retorted, reach
The loud hammering on Onyx's bedroom door made her scream. She rolled onto her back and nearly dismissed it, but the loud, terrified overflowing voices jolted him out of bed and he went to answer the door, only to discover Eloise with terror in her eyes."What's the matter, Eloise?" She seemed perplexed."WE ARE ATTACKED!" The girl wailed in terror, and Onyx became aware of the cries, loud echoes, and rushing footfall.Shit! How could she have missed this?"Let's go!" She grabbed Eloise's wrist and they hurried through the mansion's corridor and out of the home, and Onyx abruptly froze at the smoldering sight of houses and bodies.Onyx looked up in terror. "Not this time!" She screamed. "Quick! To the pack house!" She snarled, transforming into a wolf, and Eloise immediately followed, shifting into a white fur wolf and racing after her aunt toward the pack home, where the true commotion was. When Onyx arrived at the pack home, she saw it was under attack and immediate
"Another rogue attack, this is more critical than the last one. They are propagating in numbers," Seth sighed laying his back on his chair inside his office. He gazed up at Ruel who owned the chair at the other side of the table. "Rose Pack has always been an associate, since they are calling for assistance, we can't rescind them," Ruel indicated and Seth nodded."You are right, we can't abandon them, we should go to their pack right away,""But Dad, if you, Mom, Uncle, and Aunt Onyx are gone, who's going to look after the pack?" Reuben who has been standing at the side voiced out his thoughts.Seth grinned. "There's you,"The boy's eyes magnified for a brisk second. He cackled nervously. "But Dad, I-I-I don't think I can," being one of the future leaders, Reuben had always been pressured since the future Beta and Gamma were both 15 and hadn't even shifted yet and now, he was being given the responsibility of taking care of the pack alone. What if they abruptly get ambushed?"You sti
