Amber felt different and peace within her than the last time she attended the school’s bonfire. The last time was hard for her because she had to steal glances at Kevin and lower her eyes shyly whenever he looks at her and she feels hurt whenever Mirabel sticks closer to him. But now, she does not feel that way anymore. It was more like she was feeling confident which has never happened before and with Jade sitting next to her, it increased her confidence.

Speaking of Kevin, Amber realized that he had not said a single word ever since he joined them and she slowly raised her eyes to look at him. Seeing his expression, she guessed that he must be in deep thoughts.

A junior soon came with a tray in her hand and said, “Mexican hot chocolate for six. This is our special treat for the seniors,” and then she handed each of them a cup.

“Thank you,” Amber thanked her when she handed her one and the junior smiled
