Mirabel was taken into a dark cellar led by Klaus who had brought her and with a snap of his finger, the place became lit. All along the way, since they left the store and journeyed to where they are now, she has been left in awe. She had flown with Klaus on his back and she had admired his wings which spread out on each sides. she had felt the rush of the wind on her face and everything looked so surreal. She could see all the world right below her and she felt she can do almost anything, but that is only if she is one like them, and now, she wishes to be one. Maybe they were not so bad after all, she thought. She looked around the place they were in and her eyes moved to fall on someone in the room whom she recognized immediately, but standing behind him was a huge vampire who had a shiny sword in his hand and his looks are intimidating. She returned her eyes back to the boy; the junior who had wounded Kevin and she looked at him menacingly when he waved at her with a smile.“So now
“What are you both doing?” Amber turned and they both saw Bathilda standing at the entrance of the classroom.“Someone is down here,” Sage said and added, “still alive.”Bathilda walked to where they stood and she looked at the both of them before looking down and she moved around a bit before stopping. She tapped her boot on the ground and said, “This spot should be good.”“So?” Sage asked, looking at her with a raised brow.Bathilda raised her head and moved it to the side to look at him. “Smash into it,” she said and when he didn’t move, she tapped her boot on the spot again.Amber watched the both of them and she took her time to guess who is older between them. To her, Bathilda should be around the age of twenty five while Sage should be a few years older. And now she could not help but think about Mirabel at the moment. When Jade had visited during the bonfire, she had tried to gain his attention. So now that the world had come to this, if she happens to set her eyes on Sage, o
Samantha who was busy checking out the faucet, not understanding what it was and how it works, left it and turned her body to meet Harper’s eyes just in time as she was staring at her. Her brows moved up a little, seeing that she is now fully consciousness and Harper quickly looked away from her. Amber pulled her body away from her and she helped her get on her feet. Sage also stood up straight and he walked to stand a few distance away from them, checking something out just to keep himself busy.“Your outfit...” Harper said, just noticing the fitting outfit that Amber wore and she moved her eyes up to look at her. “Did you find a safe place out there? Like a camp?” she asked, her brows going up with each questions. “Did someone come to save us? Do you think my mother is safe too? What about our friends; Kevin and Mirabel? Did you all escape together?”Amber blinked at her questions. It was one she did not have any answer to but it was not like Kevin and Mirabel had never crossed her
Amber stared at nothing in particular as she leaned against the wall, waiting for Harper to wake up. She is the only one delaying them from going to save the cop_ if he is still alive, and from there, they would go back to Polis or whatever is the place she doesn’t even care to know. She stopped staring when she felt a presence beside her and she looked up to see Sage who also lean his back against the wall next to her. She shifted her eyes to fall on Bathilda who was busy pacing around and she let out a soft sigh.“Do you have something to say to me? Because it seems to me that you do,” she said without looking at him.“I actually don’t,” Sage said, his voice sounding soft.“Then why did you come here?” she asked and waited for his reply when she suddenly remembered something. “By the way,” she turned her head to look at him, “Why did you save me?” she asked.“That is because you are the Chosen One. You will always be protected. If I don’t, someone else will.”“I don’t want that answ
When Mirabel regained her consciousness, she felt like a new person and a new kind of energy surged through her whole body that felt like it now controls her.Kyle stood from the chair and walked to stand in front of her. He said, “Mirabel, you are lucky to have survived. You are now my subject and you will refer to me as your master because I own you now and I can kill you anytime you try to think you can outsmart or betray me.” He run his finger up he neck and said, “A slit is all it takes, and you are ten feet below.”Mirabel bowed her head and said, “I owe my life to you. I will never betray you, master.”A smile appeared on Kyle’s lips and he gave her a pat on the head. “My mission is to kill the claimed Chosen One, which is your enemy, because she is a threat to our existence. She is the one sent to bring an end to our immortality. The second,” he said, “I want to have power. In order for that, I need my master out of the picture. I want him dead and I will become the next leade
Amber sat outside on a stone with Harper beside her who held her body together because of the cold evening air. Her eyes were fixed on the small stick in her hand as her mind travelled elsewhere and she snapped the stick into two. The sound of the snap reminded her of her father taking her picture while she smiled happily and the world they used to live in, before his death which changed everything about her. She remembered the words of courage he made her learn over time and she said it in her mind;“I am the guardian of my mind, body and soul. I have the power to control the way I respond to what happens to me. I will get up again when I fall and I will never give up. I won’t give in to my fear. I will rather control my fears and overcome it. I am strong. I am brave. I am a fighter.”Now, as she repeated those words in her mind, it seems to her to have a different meaning and something just tells her that all her life, the things around her has been preparing her for something, some
Amber walked through the forest trail, alone, and going to see someone. The person is none other than Jade. Samantha had told him she would find him here.“Jade? I guess he must be back in his old self,” Samantha’s words replayed in her head after she had asked her where he was because she has not seen him after they came back.Amber wanted to apologize to him, to everyone and as each second pass, she felt a kind of responsibility, that there was something she needed to do, for her friends, and for the people. She rounded a small hill and saw stone ruins everywhere which spread out in the island and some in the river. Amber never knew that a place like this exist and it looks beautiful under the evening light. From the top of a huge stone ruin about twenty feet high half-submerged in the river, Amber could see Jade standing on it, his back turned to her as he stared ahead of him. Amber watched him from afar and wondered what Samantha meant by him being back to his old self. She could
Amber paced about the room, feeling uneasy. Yesterday, Jade had mentioned that Sage belonged to another Coven and when they went back to the castle, she had found out that they had come to take him back, but he had told them he would leave with them in the morning. Now here she is, deciding if she should go see him or not. She peeped out of the window again to see if they had gone, but they were still there, outside of Polis walls. She wanted to know the reason they wanted him back, because what she knows is that for him to be at Polis and here with them means he is not accepted in his Coven and she doubts if their Coven are friends with them here. She soon heard a knock and she stopped pacing. Did he come to see her before leaving? She went to it and opened it but she got disappointed when she saw that it was Bathilda.“Good morning,” Amber greeted her.“Morning Hedda. You seem to be expecting someone else,” she said, voicing out her thoughts and Amber didn’t think she was only guess
