Chapter 18 The Honest Man

Zhang Chi had no business seeing patients, and was about to throw the note into the trash can when Sister Chunmei suddenly reminded him, "The other party is Teacher Zhou."

Zhang Chi was stunned and took back his phone number.

Teacher Zhou is Zhou Fangmin, and it was he who facilitated the establishment of a joint primary school for several villages.

He is from this village, and later married into the town as a son-in-law. He has been teaching in the town junior high school in recent years. It has been a long time since I last saw him.

"I'll go there myself."

Zhou Fangmin has done favors for several villages, and Zhang Chi doesn't want to disappoint him.

Before leaving, he briefly instructed Liu Yin and Sister Chunmei, and arrived at the gate of the town junior high school half an hour later.

A thin middle-aged man with sparse hair, dark circles under his eyes, and dull and dry skin. His name is Zhou Fangmin.

"I'm sorry to bother you to come here in person."

His father-in-law was sick, his wife was busy with work, and he had to take care of a student of that age. He was short on time and had a lot of work to do, so he had no time to spare.

He just received a call and asked for half a day off.

Zhang Chi didn't waste any time and got on his bicycle and rushed home.

Zhou Fangmin’s wife’s surname is Guo. She is the owner of a small brand cosmetics factory. Her name is Guo Hongye, and she is known as Queen Guo.

Would a strong woman fall for the honest Zhou Fangmin?

I wouldn’t believe it even if you kill me.

The two chatted casually and soon arrived at the town's vegetable market.

Zhou Fangmin bargains skillfully with street vendors, and it is hard to imagine that he is a grade director.

"Hey, let's buy some food on the way back. We'll leave now."

Zhou Fangmin grinned, put the ingredients away neatly, and continued riding with Zhang Chi for a while.

The independent Western-style building is quite imposing. It is estimated that except for the Liu family, few other families in the whole town can compare with it.

The furniture in the living room are all famous brands, showing the bohemian style.

Zhang Chi felt uncomfortable no matter how he looked at it, because he and Zhou Fangmin were dressed too cheaply and did not fit in with the exquisite decoration.

"Da Huang, bad guys have entered the house! Go and bite them to death!"

A boy's arrogant voice was heard, followed by the barking of a fierce dog.

"Stop making trouble, Xiaotu, this is a guest!"

Zhou Fangmin hurriedly protected Zhang Chi, and a big yellow dog with its fur standing on end jumped in front of him, baring its teeth.

If Zhou Fangmin hadn't blocked it, it would have really dared to bite people.

"Da Huang, hurry up! Bite that blind man to death!"

On the second floor, a boy dressed in extravagant clothes was jumping and giving orders.

Zhang Chi snorted coldly and tapped the floor with his blind stick.

Buzz!

The Qi in Dantian turned into substance and pressed down. The big yellow dog screamed, and ran back upstairs with its tail between its legs. It huddled at the boy's feet, shivering, and its urine wet the floor.

The boy was dumbfounded. He kicked the big yellow dog angrily and cursed, "Useless thing! What are you doing back here? Didn't I tell you to kick out all the guys that rubbish brought with him?"

Zhou Fangmin's face flushed, he clenched and unclenched his fists, and finally smiled helplessly, "I'm sorry, Xiao Zhang, I didn't scare you, did I?"

Zhang Chi shook his head and asked, "Who is he?"

"My son, Guo Xiaotu ... "

After saying that, Zhou Fangmin lowered his head and went to the kitchen, but his brows were twisted into a "川" shape.

Guo Xiaotu kicked the big yellow dog away and ran down, looking fierce and ferocious. "Blind man, who told you to come? Get the f*ck out of here! You are not welcome in our house!"

"I'm here to see your grandfather."

"The old man is not sick, you are sick! Your whole family is sick!"

The kid was extremely rebellious. Even though Zhang Chi was a good-tempered person, he almost gave him two big slaps.

But for Zhou Fangmin's sake, let's just forget it.

"Be polite!"

Zhou Fangmin came out of the kitchen and scolded Guo Xiaotu with a stern face. Surprisingly, he raised his head and continued to scold, "The old man said that you are the nanny of the family. How dare you scold me? Believe it or not, I will let the dogs bite you to death!"

Zhou Fangmin was scolded and froze in place, not knowing what to do.

Zhang Chi said coldly, "I don't want to get involved in your family affairs, but I won't save everyone."

"Hongye is very kind to me. She asked me to take care of her father. I can't just stand by and watch him die."

"I came here because you have done favors for several villages. If you think it's okay, then I have no problem with it."

"Thanks!"

Zhou Fangmin was full of gratitude and quickly led the way to the second floor.

An old man was lying in the snow-white room. He was exhausted and dying. He stared at Zhou Fangmin with an indescribable sinister look, then he snorted and looked out the window.

Zhou Fangmin introduced Zhang Chi with a smile.

Mr. Guo scolded impatiently, "Don't bring any random cats or dogs into the house. Are you hoping that I will die quickly so that you can inherit my estate?"

"I don't have any. Xiao Zhang is indeed the best doctor in the surrounding villages."

Zhou Fangmin forced a smile and tried his best to explain himself, but unfortunately Mr. Guo had a cold attitude and didn't want to even look at him.

Zhang Chi used his five senses to diagnose Zhou Fangmin from a distance, and instantly understood his condition. He then said to Zhou Fangmin, "Don't bother. You can notify your wife to prepare for the funeral."

"What!"

Zhou Fangmin was stunned, and then his face changed drastically.

Mr. Guo growled hoarsely, "Little blind man, are you cursing me?"

"It's hard to persuade a damned ghost with good words. Don't you have any idea of your own physical condition? I could have saved you. Since you wanted to die, why should I stop you?"

Zhang Chi said this and left.

Zhou Fangmin blocked the way and shouted, "Please save my dad. I'll do anything you ask me to do!"

"It's not like you're seriously ill, why are you so anxious?"

Zhang Chi glared at him unhappily.

What a spineless thing!

Soft rice is so delicious that grandpa and grandson both come to help them by shitting and peeing on their heads.

Are you cheap?

Zhou Fangmin was speechless, lowering his head, not knowing what he was thinking.

At this moment, voices were heard downstairs.

It was Guo Hongye who returned, a cool and beautiful woman in a khaki long trench coat, with a slender and tall figure and long curly hair. She really looked like a queen.

Also coming with her was Zhang Chi’s old acquaintance Liu Guangzhi.

Liu Guangzhi laughed loudly and gave him a bear hug. "Brother Zhang! Why are you here? Are you here to see Mr. Guo?"

Guo Hongye's fox eyes were full of surprise, "Boss Liu knows him?"

"This is the doctor Xiao Zhang I told you about. He cured my husband's illness. With him here, your grandfather's illness will definitely be fine."

Liu Guangzhi patted his chest and guaranteed Zhang Chi.

Guo Hongye immediately took the initiative to extend her hand to show her goodwill.

Zhang Chi ignored her and said to Zhou Fangmin beside him, "I should go now. Call me if you have any problems in the future, except for saving the old guy upstairs."

At this moment, even a fool could see the problem.

Guo Hongye asked Zhou Fangmin seriously what was going on.

However, Zhou Fangmin was afraid of offending his father-in-law, so he kept his head down and said nothing.

Zhang Chi laughed angrily, "Useless wimp, no wonder others look down on you, don't ever say you left Baishi Village again."
