8. Burning down!

Author's POV

Mira sighed irritated when she looked for it everywhere. She checked under the chair but it was nowhere.

Madhan noticed her bothered when he saw her looking for something.

"क्या हुआ, मीरा?" (What happened, Mira?)

Mira turned around and looked at him.

"मुझे मेरी drawing book नहीं मिल रही... यहीं छोड़के गई थी, वापस आई तो नहीं थी... आपने देखी क्या?" (I can't find my drawing book... I kept it here and when I came back it was gone... Did you see it?)

She was confused.

Madhan shook his head.

"नहीं, मैंने नहीं देखी... यहाँ तो कोई आया भी नहीं... यही कहीं होगी।" (No! I didn't see it... In fact no one came here... It must be here somewhere.)

"नहीं है! सब जगह देख लिया" (It's not, I searched everywhere.)

She said irritated.

"मैंने यहाँ किसी को आते नहीं देखा... तुमने देखा?" (I didn't see anyone coming here... Did you?)
