72. Half Burnt!

Author's POV

Damon came back home, Mira was running around excited to get the work done and her face was filled with happiness. He felt relieved watching her happy and not like the first time he saw her. She was back to life.

Mira saw him and smiled.

"You are back!.. Go freshen up and come down for the ceremony... It's going to be fun."

Damon just nodded and she frowned.

"What happened?"

"Nothing."

He shook his head and she noticed a drop in his energy. His face was red and eyes were swollen.

She touched his forehead and her smile fell.

"You have a fever! Come with me."

She led him upstairs and made him sit down.

"How did you get fever?... You were fine in the morning."

"I am fine."

He took off his jacket and she gasped at the mosquito bites on his body.

"Damon! What the hell is this?"

She checked his face and neck.

"Where did you go to get so many mosquito bites? You are completely swollen... Wait, I'll call Maa."

She called Maya to check on him. Maya came and did his check up.
