Chapter 23: "Flight or Fight?"

After Yosef and the twins left, I go to Ayla, Iyah and Calli. Ayla and Iyah are talking while Calli is staring on the direction where Yosef left a while ago. I feel guilty on making him leave without saying goodbye to her. But a mission is a mission. Dark Knight’s agents know that. It’s one of our SOP.

“Hello, Jagiya.” I greet Ayla and kiss her on the cheek. She turns to me.

“Hello, Jagiya.” She answers back with a sweet smile. She subtly glances at Calli and looks at me.

“Where are Yosef and the twins going?” she asks.

“I ask them to do an errand for me. Nothing serious, Jagiya.” I answer louder for Calli to hear.

“Okay.” She says and smiles.

I then turn to Iyah and Calli.

“How are you d
