64: Like Riding a Horse

Jarren’s POV

           I climbed through her unlocked window and shut it back behind me, locking it. I’d told her about leaving that damn thing unlocked. I sat on her window seat and called her again. I’d been calling her for the past three hours. I’d just pushed send when I heard footsteps on the stairs. I immediately knew it was her. Her scent was one of a kind. I hung up as she walked through the door, putting the phone to her ear. She flipped on the light after noticing that I’d hung up and nearly dropped her phone.

           I could hear her heart beating a mile a minute as she took a deep breath and closed her door. She turned back toward me with her hand over her chest.
