3-English Assigment

Two weeks have past. Tori stopped bothering me which surprised me. But I was glad,  I was tired of her. The only new thing is, Mallory hanging out with me, sometimes Phoenix or as I call him, Nix joins us. It was weird. Normally those two would be with the popular.

"Hey Phoenix, wanna have some fun?" One of the girls from the cheer squad asked him.

"I'm busy. And I don't like easy girls like yourself, now scram." Nix told her. She stormed off.

I giggled. "Didn't think you would reject her."

"I'm not into easy girls." He replied while still reading his book. 

We were in the school garden. Mallory was taking a little nap by a tree. And I was left with Mr. Few words. His answers are, yes, no, maybe, and many more.

"So what's your type." I asked while opening my chocolate bar.

He set the book down and looked at me.

"I'm not into anyone. I don't do love and all relationship crap." He replied and then went back to his book. 

But me being me decided to poke just a bit more. "Did you got hurt? Usually that's why people stop believing in love."

"No one hurt me, I just don't. To me is all just fun no feelings involve. Now please stop asking about this." With that said, he left.

Well, this is what I get for being nosy. But this would be the first time we have a long well sort of long conversation.

"Pay no attention to him. He was indeed hurt in the past. He hates anything love related." Mallory told me while sitting next to me. 

"Yeah, but still is sad that he has given up on love." I replied.

"It won't always be like this." She smiled.

"What, you can see the future?" I giggled. 

"I wish." She sighed as I chuckled.

We were now on our last class. Which was English. It's my favorite subject.

"I will leave an English assigment that will be in a group of three." The teacher told us.

After many names and me praying to be in a group of people like me, you know invisible. I got stuck with the Carter's twins. I'm good with Mallory but Phoenix, he wasn't thrilled he was a little angry. Then again, he is always serious.

"Is there a way for me to do this alone?" I asked.

"Of course you would say that, you loser." Marie, one of the popular girls said. Everyone started to laugh. Except Mallory and Phoenix.

"Watch that mouth of yours. One day it might get you killed." Phoenix told Marie. She immediately shut up.

"Calm down everyone. And to answer your question, no miss, Bradshaw. You will have to work in the group I already said." He answered.

After class was over I went to my locker.

"Is there a reason why you don't want to work with us? We're not dumb." Mallory told me.

"It wasn't because of that. It's just, your brother seemed angry and he already hates me." I whispered. She chuckled.

"Well he can suck it. Call your parents and tell them we're going to work on this assigment at my house." She told me. 

"So, me fighting it wont work?"

She gave me a look and I sighed. I swear sometimes I feel like I'm being controlled. 

I called my parents and they let me go. Mallory told me she would drive my car and that left me to ride with Nix. I think she does this on purpose.

"Uhm- sorry about earlier."

"Its fine." He replied while his eyes were still focus on the road.

I didn't say anything else. I feel if I do he will throw me out of the car. The man is extremely intimidating.

After a 30-minute drive. We arrived. I got out of his car and made a run to where Mallory was. I could hear him laughing. The house was crazy gorgeous and really big, I would say it's a mansion.

"So, how was your ride?" She gave me a cheeky smile.

"If killing was legal you would be long gone." I sighed as she chuckled.

"You'll be fine. My brother needs a girl like you. He's too serious."

"Your brother hates me. And I don't see him in that way. And he doesn't see me that way either." I whispered.

"Whatever helps you sleep at night." She giggled as she walk to the front door.

We entered their house and it was really beautiful. One word to describe it, luxury.

"Let's go to the study room. The faster we finish this, the better." Mallory told us.

"Wow, this place is beautiful. Like your own personal library." I said admiring the view.

"You're welcome to visit us it anytime. We got better books than the public library. Just text before coming." Phonix  told me.

One minute he's being a jerk and the next sort of nice.

"What if I come unannounced?" I asked while walking around.

Within seconds, I felt Phoenix behind me. "You might get a surprise."

I shivered just by having him behind me. The way he whispered those things in my ear made me weak on the knee.

"I-I need to go pee." I made a run to the bathroom. 

"Seriously? And you tell me you dont like her." Mallory rolled her eyes at him.

"I don't. I just enjoy teasing her." He smirked.

"Do me a favor and don't play with her.  She's a good girl that somehow got involved with us."

"You were the one who befriend her. I made her forget about me. I had no intentions but now that the Montenegro's know that I killed one of them, he might target her." He answered her 

"Excuses, excuses. He could not know since you killed him." She told him.

"Yeah, but better safe than sorry. They could have someone spying on us. And since you befriend her."

"Whatever you say, but you and I know you like this girl. You have to let go of Serena."

"No one will ever replace her. Serena was so pure and innocent. She didn't deserve to die." He said with so much anger.

"You're right. But you need to move on. You're my twin and I want you to be happy again. You're not happy anymore and I miss that part of you."

I made my way to the study room and found it empty. How long was I in the bathroom hiding? This is why I prefer to work alone.
