Lorenzo’s POV

Propping myself up by an arm, I glanced at the figure strapped to the chair, still unconscious or so she seemed. As a last resort, I had brought her to the penthouse, the very one I would rather not be in.

I had thought about how she wasn't fit to be in the warehouse, going back to the mansion was a no because the kids would see, so I had brought her over. Hopefully, a part of me hoped still that she was Daphne, even when everything told me she wasn't.

Her tattoos, her purple hair and even her eyes told me that she wasn't the one, but I think I was hoping for too much.

A sneer echoed across the empty hall, still draped with white clothes as she fluttered her eyes open, boring them at me. A part of me hitched when her eyes gazed around confused, not a flinch telling me she recalled anything.

“How. Dare. You?” She roared.

“ Do what?” I pushed myself up, squatting beside her. The ropes bound around her gave me an image that I didn't want to keep. It wouldn't be great
