Maria had seen Charles play Go with Old Master Smith before, so she frowned and said, "Grandpa, I don't know how to play Go."

"No problem."

Old Master Smith said, "You can pick anything you like. I'm okay with it."

Maria actually knew how to play many games, including Go, but she wasn't particularly skilled at it. Her favorite was actually checkers because Noah used to play it with her whenever he had free time.

Thinking of Noah, Maria held back her sadness and looked up at Old Master Smith with a smile. "Grandpa, why don't we play checkers then?"

Old Master Smith readily agreed. "Let's play checkers!"
