Two years after Luke was sent to King's Island, he had completed his training. He wanted to rush back after a year just like he promised but, he was not allowed to leave. Immediately after he got back, the first thing he did was start looking for the girl he spent a night with. It wasn't easy but with the help of the connections he had made when he was on kings island, he made progress almost three years after coming back. After vigorous searching, he found out that she was from the Grey family. Mr. Grey owns a news agency and it's quite popular. Information that he gathered was that she was a child from that family and she had gone to that party with her sister.
After finding out about her family, he didn't waste any time and told his parents about what happened. He also told them that he would want to marry her. His parents who were still feeling guilty about sending him to Kings island agreed without any questions. He approached her family and told them of his intentions to marry their daughter. Of course, Bella's parents were happy. They introduced Lily to Luke. When Luke voiced out his concerns that the girl he remembered wasn't Lily, Lily's mother and lily formed a plan.Since Luke met Lily, they had been meeting outside almost every day. Whenever they met, Luke would always ask her one question or the other about that night. One of the things that gave him great concern was her eye color. He was sure that the girl he slept with had blue eyes but the one he is with doesn't. She has black eyes. What could be wrong? The worst part is that he has some kind of dislike for her. She seems too pretentious for his liking. After work one day, he took her out. While they were eating, he decided to ask her about her eyes. "Lily, can I ask you a question?" He asked lily who was wearing a very revealing dress. The length was just too short. With the was she was sitting, he could practically see her panties."Sure, you don't even have to ask for permission before asking me anything. I am going to be your wife and you will be my husband so, there is nothing to be shy about. Ask whatever you want." Lily said with a seductive pose."What happened to your eyes?" He asked. He was trying not to show his disgust at her. The smell of her perfume was one of the things he hated the most about her.Lily was taken aback by his question. What happened to her eyes? Why is he asking such a question? Is there something wrong with her eyes? She asked herself. After a while, she answered him. "Nothing is wrong with my eyes. Why do you ask?" She answered him.Luke didn't take his eyes off her face as he asked another question. "Do you wear contact lenses?""No... Why would I use lenses? My eyes are okay. Why are you these questions?" Lily asked."No, it's nothing. Forget that I asked. I was just thinking that your eyes looked different." Luke said and drank from the wine in the glass he was holding. Lily tried to know what he was thinking by looking at his facial expression but was disappointed because the expression on his face didn't change."Luke," Lily called. Luke turned to her and raised his eyebrows so she continued. "When getting married? You didn't even want to make our relationship public. You came to my family and said you wanted to marry me but, since we started going out, you have never even kissed me. Why? Do I irritate you?"Luke raised his eyebrows at her. He was tempted to tell her that she irritated him. He was about to open his mouth to reply but then, he thought of it and shook his head. "Are you in a hurry to get married to me?" He asked her.Lily felt giddy with his question. Who wouldn't want to marry him? He is the youngest rich heir in the country. A lot of girls would kill to get him and she wasn't an exception. "Of course! I can't wait to become Mrs. Simone." She answered with a smile.Luke was already getting fed up with Lily. He was just confused because, his investigations proved that the girl he slept with was from the Grey family but since he met Lily, he knew something was wrong. After their outing, he took Lily to her house. Months after he and Lily started going out, Lily's father became sick. After taking him to the hospital, the doctor only told them that he was stressed. Luke became suspicious when he wasn't getting better so, he had a test done on his secretly. That was when he found out that they had been poisoning him for a long time ago and that he wouldn't be able to survive. When Mr. Grey found out what they had done to him, he told Luke the truth. He told luke about Bella before he died. After Luke found out the truth, he broke stopped going to visit Lily or even taking her calls. Lily tried to contact him several times but he refused to meet her. After the death of Bella's father, Luke settled things in his company and decided to go and look for Bella and also give her what rightfully belongs to her. Back to the present...After Bella walked away from Luke, tears started falling from her eyes. She would be lying if she said she wasn't hurt. Who wouldn't be hurt when they are reminded of their pains? Immediately she turned a corner, she placed her back against the walk for support. She covered her mouth and cried out all her pains. She was there for a while when she felt familiar arms wrap around her. She hugged her grandmother tightly and cried. "It's going to be okay my child! Whatever happens, just remember that your grandmother loved you and will always be here for you. It'll all be fine..." Her grandmother consoled her."Grandma! Grandma... What will I do?... That the father of my children... What do I do?" Bella asked between sobs. Her grandmother pulled out of the hug and cleaned the tears running down Bella's cheeks and said. "Shhhh... We'll handle it all one step at a time. Why don't you go home and I'll come and see you in a while? When I come, we'll talk about all of these."Bella shook her head and said. "No. I, I can't go home. I need to work. I can't be idle. I'll be in the kitchen." She cleaned her tears and smiled at her grandmother before saying. "Am sorry I am making you worried. I'll be fine. Call me when you need me. I'll be in the kitchen." She said and walked away leaving her grandmother behind.Luke was still sitting where he was and lost in thought for a long time. He didn't know for how long but, he came back to when Bella's grandmother called out to him. "Mr. Luke. Hey!" She called him but when he didn't answer, she tapped him. Luke blinked his eyes at her when he was pulled out of his thoughts. "Am sorry, what did you say?" He asked Bella's grandma. "I didn't say anything. I just called you. What were you thinking about?" She asked Luke.Luke shook his head and said. "It's nothing. I was just... I mean, I was just lost. I think it's time for me to go. I need to go. I'll be back tomorrow." Luke said and stood up."Please, sit." Bella's grandmother stopped him before he could take a step away. "I want to ask you some questions." She added when she saw that Luke wasn't sitting. Luke took his seat and waited for her to continue. Some seconds after he had taken his seat, she asked. "Why did you come to look for Bella?" Luke thought not to tell her but, just when he was abo
Instead of going into the Kitchen as Bella had said, she went up to the fourth floor. When she got there, she just walked to her room and lay down. She didn't have the energy to do anything. She didn't even know what she was feeling. Fear? Sadness? Nervousness? She couldn't name her feelings at that moment. What would happen if Luke was to find out about her children? Will he take them from her? At the thought of her children entering her mind, she stood up from the bed and started pacing around the room. She would never allow anyone to take her children away from her. Why did he even come to look for her? He should have just forgotten about whatever happened that night and not bother her. "What are you doing here?" Bella's grandmother who had just walked into her room asked. She had gone to the kitchen to check on Bella but she wasn't there. She checked the office and she wasn't there also. "Oh! Grandma! You scared me..." Bella gasped. "Sorry. I didn't mean to. What are you d
Bella was very curious but she knew her grandmother wasn't ready to answer her questions. She just hoped she didn't get to see him again. The next day, Bella had gotten to the restaurant with the fear that she would meet Luke there but she was quite surprised when she didn't meet him there. She went into her room on the fourth floor and dropped her bag. As she passed the second floor, she was tempted to take a look at his usual seat and she did. He still wasn't there. As the day progressed, wondered why he didn't show up. She hoped he had gone back to where he came from. She didn't want anything to link her to the life she lived before being sent away to Nigeria. Her stepmother and sister had done her a great favor. Nigeria became her gateway. Now, she earns more than she would have ever imagined. The day ended and she still didn't feel that piercing stare that she had been feeling for days now. She was a lot happier when she got home that day and her children noticed. "You look be
Her purse and car keys fell from her hands at the sight of who was standing there...Bella froze in place, her heart pounding erratically. She struggled to process the sight of Luke standing at her door. He looked impossibly composed, his tailored black suit fitting him like a glove, his sharp features betraying nothing of the emotions she imagined he must be feeling. For a moment, Bella couldn’t breathe, couldn’t think. Her children, standing behind her, exchanged confused glances before Oliver spoke.“Mom? Is something wrong?” he asked cautiously.Bella snapped out of her trance, her maternal instincts kicking in. She bent to pick up her purse and car keys, her hands trembling as she did so. Straightening up, she forced a smile onto her face and turned to her children.“Go back inside for a moment, okay? Mommy needs to handle something,” she said, her voice unnaturally bright.Oliver and Olivia hesitated, glancing curiously at Luke before obeying their mother’s request. As soon as t
''Answers,” he said simply. “And this time, I’m not leaving until I get them.”Bella was frozen to the spot after hearing him. "Answers to what?" She asked him."Bella, when were you planning to tell me about the kids?" He asked with a look Bella couldn't explain. She had been scared that such a day would come. A day where he would take the children away from her. "Or, you never planned to tell me about them," Luke asked while watching her keenly. He could see very clearly the emotions that passed across her face. Fear? Was she scared of him? Why? There was no reason why she should be scared of him. Luke thought as he watched and waited for her answer. "Kids... What kids? What...are you talking about?" Bella asked shakily. "Bella, calm down... You look scared. Why don't we go somewhere quiet so we can talk? I am not here to hurt you... Believe me." He said in a way to calm her. She was already shaking and he could see beads of sweat on her head. What could she be thinking? Bella lo
Bella couldn't move a muscle after Luke left. She thought she knew it all. She had thought everything had happened as she thought. Her mother was murdered. They murdered her mother... She had been a fool to think they Loved her at one time. Who would have thought? 'Bella, you've been a fool.' She lamented. She didn't know how long she was sitting there but her grandmother's voice brought her back to the present."Bella... Why are you crying? Did he do anything to hurt you?" Her grandmother asked as she held Bella's hand affectionately. "Grandma... What should I do? What do you think I should do?'' She sobbed. "You could start by telling me exactly what happened to you. You could start by telling me all that you've kept bottled up inside you. " Her grandmother urged. Bella knew it was time to open up. She had kept it bottled up for too long. Her grandmother had never pressured her into talking about all that had happened before she had been sent back to Nigeria. "Grandma... Am sorr
She had just agreed to call Luke over for dinner, and the moment she uttered those words, Olivia had nearly exploded with excitement. “Mom! You mean it? Daddy’s coming over?” Olivia’s eyes shone, her little hands clenched into excited fists as she bounced on her toes. "You'll really call him over?" She added.Bella stared at her daughter, surprised at just how much joy the news brought her. Had she been hindering her children's happiness? seeing Olivia so elated made Bella’s chest tighten. How long had Olivia been hoping for this moment?Bella sighed, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. Meanwhile, Oliver stood a few steps behind his sister, his reaction much more reserved. He was calm and composed. Bella studied him, searching for signs of excitement, but his expression remained neutral. Still, there was a quiet flicker in his blue eyes, betraying the emotions he was trying to keep hidden. Bella sighed, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Yes, but only if you both beh
"Mom!!! Mom!!!""What's wrong with her? She has been like this since she came back from work yesterday." Two children spoke to each other as they tried to get the attention of their mother who was obviously lost in thought. "What do you think happened to her?" The young girl asked her brother who shrugged and went to tap his mother's shoulder."Hmmm! What is... I mean, hey baby!" Isabella who has been lost in thought came to as she said."What is it, mom? We have been calling you for a while now and you didn't even hear us call. What are you thinking?" Oliver asked his mother.Isabella looked at her children who has never failed to surprise her. Oliver and Olivia are the fruit of what happened eight years ago and what made her lose her father now. "Did you call me?" She asked them."Yes, we did... What's wrong with you mom? You have been acting like this since you came back from work yesterday. What is it?" Olivia asked her mother.Their question brought tears to her eyes because, som

When Luke woke up in the morning, Bella was still sleeping peacefully beside him. They were intertwined together and he felt good about it. He looked at her peacefully and beautiful sleeping face and a smile spread on his handsome face. Just as he was about to wake her up, he remembered that he didn't even know her name or anything about her. He gently freed himself from her hold and got out of bed. He tried looking around the room if he would see her purse and maybe, he would get to know who she is but to his disappointment, there was nothing of hers in the room. She wouldn't even have a clothe to wear of she woke up. He looked at the time and saw that it was still very early so, he decided to go and get her something to wear before she would wake up. He left the room and went to the hotel front desk. He met a young receptionist there. "Hi," he greeted the receptionist who was looking into her phone. The receptionist frowned her face at the disturbance and said, "who the
