C29 - Have the will to live.

"Ally!"

After spending several years with Michael in the past, Allison knew he was soft-hearted about many things—often the small things. But never in their five years of college had she seen him cry like he was now, holding her hands and weeping.

"Michael," she said softly, her voice breaking on the mention of his two-syllable name.

"Ally, Kattie and I have been searching for you for so long," he said. "Why did you leave like that? Aren’t we your friends?"

"I'm sorry," was all she managed to reply.

She was glad to see her friend, but she wasn’t happy with the way their meeting had turned out. Since Shanna found her, this had become the usual scene. People she had cut out of her life kept appearing, crying rivers when they saw her condition.

"It's not too late, right, Allison? There's still hope for you," Michael asked, his eyes still wet with tears.

She shook her head. Did she need to repeatedly tell each person that her condition was already hopeless?
